I have the F170, love it. Its great for me. You are wrong on one thing. The paper. It will print up to 47.2 length. Which is also shown on Epson's website. It took me a while to find out how since Epson doesn't show you how to on the F170. I found one place that sells 8.5 by the roll, it works great. I cut the length I need and load it through the front. I also make the changes in the settings to reflect the length and also if its rigid or textile, which is another feature of this printer. I saved so much money at Christmas by putting several designs on one sheet with the extra length. Also, even though I haven't had time to play with it, the instruction manual shows you how to tile your design so that you can print on separate sheets of paper and then put them back together once they are done printing. thank you for your video.

@shaune River I got my 8.5 roll from honestlyspinking. It came really fast. I've been using it for over a yr. They are the ones have videos on printing up to 47.24. That is great.

Excellent breakdown. I create art, represent artists and, as a consequence, am involved in producing giclee prints - primarily on canvas. I personally have no interest in owning a printer and getting myself mired in that quagmire - been there done that! So, I use one of the best fine art printers I have found in NYC.
Meaning, I don't personally have to fight that incredibly complex, daunting battle and can then focus my main efforts on creating and selling my art and that of those with whom I work.
Nevertheless, the knowledge you provide is extremely valuable to know from a tangential, albeit for me, standpoint and to help keep me up to date on the technology. Thank you for your thoroughness.

Here in Australia, just got the F560 (same as 570) and you only get ONE 17" roll. Hmmph.

Do you know if Epson will offer a midsized printer like the Sawgrass SG1000? It’s such a big jump from the 170 to the 570

      I would love something inbetween.

Hi Elizabeth, we are not aware of any midsized Epson printer that's similar.

Agreed 100 percent. In my opinion, there should be a printer marketed between the two.

That was a great video! Do the Epson Sublimation F170 and F570 printers have a system similar to Sawgrass printers that keeps the head from clogging?

Hi Larry, thank you for the positive feedback! The Epson F170 and F570 have print heads designed for Epson sublimation inks to minimize clogging.
