Thank you for an Informative video on ET-F170. I am a Cricut crafter and from time to time will take in an order or two. My color on my design space canvas (burgundy) looked great until I printed on my converted ET-2800. It sublimated brown. No matter what I did, brown was the it. Disappointed and frustrated. I saw many videos on ICC Color profile and was overwhelmed. So I decided to get a sublimation printer and decided on ET-F170. But, your video stood out the most. You stated that color profile is inside the driver and colors should print true to image on screen. I’m paraphrasing your words. This sold me and I’m purchasing one tomorrow. My converted Epson works well, but I need true colors when I making a craft for purchase. I just subscribed to your channel and thank you again for this video 😊

Your review and comments helped me to decide on this printer. I especially like that I don't have to pay TOP dollars to own a sub printer and I won't have to worry about
voiding the warranty by converting this printer. I only have one question; will this printer be available to print larger than 8.5 x 14?

I'm having a hard time finding the sublimation paper for this printer. So I have not set it up yet. I have had it about a year now, where do I find that the paper you use? Is getting direct fro Epson the only way? Same for the ink... thank you
You missed out the colour management setting on the print driver and within illustrator. What settings should they be please?
I use the default setting and let Epson control the color

i am considering purchasing this one, i have an et-2803 that i converted but it prints so slowly. how is the speed on this F170?
My 2803 has done me well for 4 years, but recently, it is not printing well anymore no matter what I do. I just purchased the surecolor f170 yesterday. Can't wait to use it
I just got my printer yesterday, followed this video and I did a few test prints and I have pizza wheels, what is the solution to that? That doesn't make me like like this $600 printer. I bought it to avoid issues, not have them immediately.

does the sublimation tape matter between brands? should I be using only the epson paper?. I currently use A-Sub and when I switched over to this printer, my design no longer looks the same as it should on my glass tumbler. the colors look almost burned/brown. when it should be black dark colors. when I rprint bright bold colors, it comes out lighter colors and when I press it onto my frosted glass tumbler the colors are too light. I don't know what else to do . I have tried changing the setting and can't get it right

You can change color settings from your printer settings, but I have found when epson controls the color, it works the best!

As just a crafter how long will the ink last before replacement, except black as you mentioned.
I’ve printed over 100 times and the ink levels look the same as they did in this video 😳

You don’t need registration marks with your sublimation prints! You can just hand cut it since the negative space won’t have any ink. But if you want them- instead of mirroring everything- flip your image before sending the job to print. And then turn off the printer’s mirror option.

You can but I wouldn’t recommend it since the color profiles are set with epson ink.

Hi I was just wondering if you have had any problems with that what can I call it I can see you know when your printer goes back-and-forth like if you opened the top on your printer I have the same printer as you by the way that’s why I’m asking you this question when the printer goes back-and-forth left to right and there is a ribbon that covers the width of I guess you can see the paper there’s a ribbon that covers the I guess underneath there’s some important parts. I don’t know if they’re important but my ribbon when I was doing a head cleaner cleaning the ribbon came loose and that ribbon was found over on the left side of the printer and I had obviously had taken it off and on the underneath of this ribbon there is just a couple of pieces of tape and that couple of pieces of tape is what held it in place I guess. I called Epson and Epson told me since I took it off which I never did I told her that it came off when I was doing a head cleaner I printed a total of 80 pages with this Printer and he told me he was going to give me a 10% coupon off my next purchase of one oh I paid $600 for this and now it’s just a giant paperweight and I bought a 2 1/2 years ago so obviously my warranty is no longer I’m thinking I’m since I have no warranty of just getting some double-sided tape and taping it on to the area where the other tape was what are your ideas or have you had this happened to you

Totally!!! It’s probably best that you don’t so that your printer’s ink lines stay nice and inky 🥰

That’s the largest! I also have a converted epson ecotank 15000 which prints tabloid size 11 x 17. So if you want to print bigger- that’s a good option!

You can also print up to 47.24 (I can't remember the exact, but this is close) I get it on the role. I've had mine for a couple of years and love it. I've also not had to ever clean my print heads even though I've gone close to 6 mos without printing. I love my Epson so much, now I also own the F570. Also love it too. This is a great video
