@mrraimundo130 I love centroid and the technical support is one of the best I've experienced. However I recommend that you will go with a dedicated fiber laser controller! Centroid is currently working on a dedicated fiber laser controller but they don't have a date for it yet. Therefore I recommend that you will go with raytools XC3000s or FSC2000S (for sheets) if your interested in tube cutting as well go with FSCUT3000S
That is amazing. I also use an acorn but on a mill. I do have an 80w fiber and "thought" I had a powerful fiber laser until now lol. How do you keep the lens clean being so close to the sheet?
@@TAMARbarCNC Thanks for your time to respond. I'm reading elsewhere the laser power sources in general have a life of 30,000 hour. What do you think of that? Have you run your machine for long enough to see degradation? Also if I plan to build a machine like yours you would say it will cost $10,000 to $15,000 or more?
@@TAMARbarCNC Ok. Thanks for letting me know. This is either a very expensive hobby for somebody with money (or a money printing machine in the backyard ) or making money as a business and recovering that cost over time...
Now I'm building a very similar machine because you inspired me. Keep up the good work!
@@mrraimundo130 thanks dude I appreciate it.
Which controller are you gonna use?
@@TAMARbarCNC An Acorn, like you. I already use an AcornSix on my retrofitted milling machine.

Thanks ❤@@TAMARbarCNC
Another great video. Are you using compressed O2 or Oxygen? thank you sir.
@@lpfdemt I'm using oxygen
@@TAMARbarCNC Thank you Sir
How long does the gas last for the approximate cutting time? Do you not use compressed air?
excellent work ,how long do consumables last compared to plasma ?
@@sandorturcsanyi-d3f pretty much the same

@@OG1 the gas pressure mostly doing the work I think
What power level you need to cut 10mm mild steel? 3KW?
@car9167 technically 1kw but it's not recommended.
2kw is fine.
3kw would be great 👍

@car9167 I don't notice any degradation In my laser source.
The machine similar to mine will cost you probably 20-25k usd

@car9167 I do tube cutting and sheets cutting as a part of my business income so its easily paid it back for me
do you only cut steel? or do you cut aluminum and stainless also
@@dsiicustomfab3298 I only cut steel for now..
@@TAMARbarCNC ok, do you have information how and what you used to convert your plasma to laser
@dsiicustomfab3298 yes, my machine previously was a plasma machine
