That was crazy. I was going into this thinking it was legit anyone's game and was not really expecting fun to win pro at all despite the 7 placement matches I did getting destroyed by team fun for 2 games. Also geez the votes% was insanely high for team gear. Makes sense as the tallies I had for VS self totalled up to more than VS Gear or VS Fun. Anyways, pretty close between gear and fun which makes sense considering the halftime report but I still feel bad for team grub in the end.

As a team gear member, I thought we were going to lose because I lost about half of my matches, so I’m relieved that we were able to pull through!

Same I feel like there should have been more grub like I feel like it's either rigged or the scoring system is not good.

@@IDKIAMBORED07 I'm just partially blaming the game. I don't want to go into detail but I thought of an interesting rework for the fests to ad more fun and better scoring even if the teams are unevenly balanced. I definitely feel like they should introduce a last place score at least.
Better luck next time but Gear is inarguably better then the other two now. That's what the rules of the splatfest decree! Good games though, maybe you can gear up to get some grub now...

Somehow I saw a lot more Fun and Grub posts than Gear and yet Gear got more popularity 💀
I’m from Gear, but I lost so many times that it surprised me that we won. Grub got little love somehow in comparison with the other teams. I could have sworn they kicked me up my rear nearly every match 😭

I actually played a game with you this Splatfest! I have the screenshot of our victory on my switch.
As a member of team fun I'm not disappointed after all in the end that's what the game is about haveing fun and it wouldn't be spaltoon wothout that!! In the end its important to say true to your self and if i was on a deserted island i woudnt wanna be consumd with seriving alone id wanna be my self till my last moments. I have no regrets picking my team but with half the community voting gear no wonder they won!! We put up an awesome fight good job everyone and thank you for the awesome time :).

During the beginning of the splatfest, I mostly got Gear vs Gear.
I also feel sorry for Grub since they got 0 points.

As a member of team grub, its ok, I didn't have high hopes for our team. Good job though, team gear! You were a tough one to go against!
I was so sad, I was doing great in Pro, won a few 100x matches, but in Open I was doing ok, but lost the tricolors. (I was on Team Fun) At least I had fun~
I think the reason tricolor was so close this time is because of the map. For the Hammerhead ultra signal, it’s out in the open, meaning you can go in on all sides, but are also vulnerable from all sides
This really caught me by surprise, because out of the 2 days I played as team Grub, I lost only 3 matches (out of 50ish).
I wish there was an art scoring too, cuz we rocked that one ;p
I won 4 out of 5 open matches, and in pro I got crushed most of the time so yeah, those results make sense to me, and we won, I honestly thought team Fun had it.

Good stuff, Team Fun! We managed to get 2nd while not being popular and having the unfortunate event of defending during tri color. We should’ve lost a little bit more during the first half to guarantee us a win but into the next one.

As someone on team grub I think the splatfest theme itself was rigged in gears favour as gear is technically the ‘correct’ choice compared to grub or fun so I’m not surprised they got the 50% popularity
Tbh I had fun. But having Open literally gets u a guaranteed win..

They should have made the teams more fair because if it was a real situation you know nobody is just going to bring uno to a DESERTED island and expect to survive with that. I feel like people just picked fun to be on team big man and not for the actual splatfest. They need to make harder choices so it can be more equal and all the idols have a fair perspective of their choice

im not shocked gear won reg because god, i rarely won against them, and only encountered grub like 4 times. like, after seeing the votes it. it explains everything but still. damn.

I got 24 sea snails and was Gear Ruler +10
I am level 26 and I got sea snails, 21 for being Grub Ruler +2
It konda suprised me and at the same not because us, team fun, we were kinda wiping the floor with the other times mostly until halftime. Although i mostly played pro so i didn't know what was going on over there in open. But im not surprised that they won in popularity though amd i think that might have been the biggest reason why they won.
Either way i had tons of fun and ya know what, im happy with 2nd place, so gg's yall did a great job :D
We are not shiver simps it’s just that shiver has the most logical team

I liked the splatfest but why did gear get 15 for open but fun got 10 from open? It’s my first splatfest btw
Open is worth 15 points and Pro mode is worth 10 points which is what team fun won in. Open is worth more probably because of the new tricolor battle mode only being in Open and also to prevent ties from happening.

Well, I guess you can say the majority of splatfest attendees were victorious, so there's that. That voting poll was insane.

genuinely surprised at how grub didn’t get any points. I beat Fun’s ass plenty, and Grub murdered me more times than I can count. Not that i’m complaining, I sacrificed some of my sanity for Gear’s win….

@@shanieceread7351 Shiver is my favorite Character, I chose Grub because I also love Frye and that I wanted to have fun and choose the funniest one to me, i didn't care about logic, I was enjoying the splatfest and having fun, how your supposed too

Bro just because it had more votes doeant mean its unballanced i was on team gear and half the time i was playing against my own team because there were no other matches available so half the time i played gear vs gear wich gives no points btw so no its not unfair lol. Nintendo ballanced it well it was close so just say gg instead of blaming something

Gear was overpopulated and had most pros and RUclipsrs joining it. I never had a match with team fun because I was always up against team gear.
It seems a bit silly since of course gear would get you food and could be fun to use on an island. You'd run out of food if that's all you had and fun won't help you survive. So of course the majority of people playing chose team gear.
Hopefully next splatfest the options are all equally viable and I really hope each team has similar player counts. I felt like most of the time I got matched up against the highest rank players with a team of low ranks including myself so the skill discrepancy was massive.
Most of my favorite streamers that are cracked chose grub, most of my favorite Japanese streams chose fun. And I didn’t see much gear streamers but gg

Did about 4 hours of pure tricolour and only got two matches they for real needed them results
I thought fun would be 3rd in popularity for sure based on the amount of comments about gear and grub make more sense that fun. Very surprised to see us be second in popularity.
With only 21% of votes we still almost kicked gear's ass good work team fun.

I was shocked that gear won, I was on team gear and I thought fun had it in the bag and we were going to be 2nd but I thought everyone did good and we had fun and thats all it matters but this does make my 3rd splatfest and my 1st splatfest win of splatoon 3 so I don't care if my future teams I pick loses because then I can say I won one splatfest out of them so I don't really care but my first splatfest was splatoon 2 team star and mushroom and I was on team star and my 2nd was paper vs rock, scissors and I was team paper which I was shocked by that to because we got 2nd and I thought we were going to get last, I don't do it by idols I just do it by my favorite theme.

Gear was the best chois again, we really rocked that splatfest~ Eventho that I lost both my 100x fights, against Fun, I guess. But I won 5 out of my 8 10x battles. I played for a total of 20h I guess and didn't got any tricolored and I was trying for like 6h of 10h or so to get one xD Also I found out, all the wins you get while waiting for a tricolored one go to "open" in the results. I got sooo many mirrored matches, so it was clear, that we got the most votes. Like sometimes I got 3 mirrored mates in a row xD But still team fun had the best players, because we often lost against them actually, especially in 10x or 100x battles, so it was kinda close again. My final rank was "Gear ruler +7".

Because Team Fun had the better players and only came second because of popularity and tri color still being unbalanced. I’ll happily take 2nd place and not last like last time

After playing Story Mode, Shiver does not deserve a win streak. She surrendered to the heroes, and is a coward as a result. She's also too "Proper" and "Pompous" for me. I love her design, but her personality doesn't do it for me

I was on Grub and Won 24 battles and lost 22. I wanted to play a lot more but i'm sick. Rest is more important. My final rank was Grub Ruler +1. I had a few 10x encounters but no 100x or 333x. Frye will have her revenge. One of these days...

Honestly I do love Shiver, but I picked gear because it made sense to me. Can't speak for all Shiver fans, but I will pick the option that I'm drawn to. Rock, paper, and scissors were all equally valid so Shiver did away my decision in that tbh.
