  • We put the Diablo Steel Demon blade on our RYOBI Miter Saw to make some quick cuts in steel. This is a great way to make easy, fast, and precise cuts. You have to make sure that the RPM of the blade is sufficient for the RPM of the saw. In this case, the RYOBI Miter Saw spins at 3,500 RPM, and the Diablo Steel Demon 7-1/4" is rated for 5,800 RPM. You can get this saw for $239 and the Diablo Steel Demon blade is just $35. #review #tools #ryobitools

Seems way better than my abrasive wheel. Quieter and less sparks and cleaner cuts

I looked at this I thought wow what a good idea. I don't have anything against Ryobi and have a few items myself. This would work good, but safety is paramount. Caution-Please remove the dust collection bag, don't it have connected to any dust collection or anywhere close to saw dust. Sparks and dry saw dust don't play together well.

Excellent review! It made total sense once you explain the RPMs I just never associated the RPMs 7 1/4 circular saw with a 7 1/4 mitre saw, but the same thing just a different format.

This saw clearly needs the HP ONE+ Brushless update. I enjoy the pointers of it being able to cut 1/8" metal with a specialized blade. It would be interesting if they had a switch that would limit/select the RPM. Kind of like the impact drivers. However, in terms of metal cutting for the price, the regular non-sliding miter (P553) may be a better option. 4000 RPM; 15lbs; cross cut capacity of 4" @90 and 3"@45; and sub $200 kit with 2x4AH batteries.

@@chibbyylol yes, agreed. However, that's not on the cheap, and it's over sized for most metal tubing.

Did the sparks/metal shavings melt into the plastic of the saw?

What do you think the thickest piece of metal you could cut with this would be? It sounds like the right solution for me, but I'm trying to figure out the limits of it.

Before you cut metal, remove the bag or else it will burn or catch fire. Ask me how i know. hehe. Dont cut Aluminum, theres a blade for non ferrous metal

Hi what is the inner diameter of your ryobi miter saw

It will do it but at what cost ryobi tends to put less expensive material in high wear areas causing slop eventually the guys that were sent to my parents house from renewal by andersen can tell you about it

So basically because the saw is somewhat wimpy wood RPM of the Ryobi lets you cut metal. Genius!

That Ryobi seemed a little low on power.
