  • Back in 2021, I was lent the Triumph Bonneville Bobber 1200. This video is a compilation of all the public videos on this bike, I think there are two Patreon exclusives also on this bike. I tested this bike in every area I could to give you a full and honest review!

I’ve had mine for over 12 months now. Through experience, I’ve found the mods worth doing are: Number one, change the rear shock. I fitted a Triumph Fox shock, adjusted for fast rebound on a long journey, and firmed up for faster rides. Raised the handle bars and back 1” so not leaning forward so much. De Cat, but kept the original silencers for an even better exhaust sound, but not overly loud, and also feels to rev quicker. I fitted a Motone X pipe. Triumph quilted Comfort seat, which looks great but doesn’t make much difference in comfort - The rear shock is the main comfort mod. Givi touring screen, means I can sit comfortably at motorway speeds all day. Rather than carrying a back pack, I fitted a rear rack, from eBay and some leather saddle bags. They sit low and keep the low profile of the bike.

I see that you've added luggage and carrying potential which is great. I can't make my mind up between the Bobber which looks cool and the Speedmaster which is better for touring. So is there a reason you chose the Bobber over the Speedmaster? Thanks...

@@timrixon7009 To be honest I would have bought either, bobber or speedmaster, I like them both. I just came across a good bobber for sale first. Now though, having been on a speedmaster, I’m happy I got the bobber. My wife is Two Wheel Averse, so I don’t need a pillion seat.

got one myself (done a few reviews, appreciate the sub) and the big thing for me about this bike is I can feel like an aboslute hooligan and yet not be doing "instant License lose" speeds.
while my times on other sports bikes, Specifically the Susuki gxs1000gt, I could hit 110mph and feel like nothing was happening.
this bike gives you the sense of speed while not endangering yourself .. too much

I have the 2017 Standard, ridden it for years. Flawless bike, or very close to it. Zero issues, everything is still stock. I also prefer the styling of the original version. I think Triumph cratered to the masses in making the front tire fat and smaller and the tank more bulbous, and all these bloody matte paintjobs and it blew the aesthetics of the original machine somewhat, which was the perfect balance between brawn and class, with great classic paint options. They stripped away the class catering to the masses, but that shouldn't be a surprise, that's indeed what happens in catering to masses. Still a great looking bike but used to be a better looking bike. Only way to "upgrade" with this bike would be to buy a nicer version of the same bike. Triumph hit it out of the ballpark with this one.

Stupidest design for a cat. Never put a cat right under the motor like that. It should be deleted.

Things I expect to hear in this review…
    1) “That’s not a lot of power for a 1200” ✅ check
    2) “I’m not really into cruisers” ✅ check
    3) “Ooh, that’s a lot of torque” ✅ check
    4) “it’s better than I expected” ✅ check.

Is this a good bike for 6 feet taller guy honestly when I sit the bike looks smaller. This is my dream bike but I also inclined for T120 which is best for my height but cant come close to classic style of bobber. very confused.

I have an RnineT Sport with an Akra Ti straight through exhaust with cat / flap delete,
can't say I have been put off by any 'weird' noises, other than my own gasps when gunning the 115-bhp engine.

So I’m thinking of purchasing this bike and I’ve been doing my research unfortunately I’ve come across a couple owners that have complained about the most minimal of oil leaks. Is this true I hope not it would be such a shame. This bike is absolutely stellar.

Watched the video right through good video I had a new speedmaster in 21 I loved it but got kind of bored with it so traded it in for a new ktm1290 adv s but got fed up with the not so good quality I think of the Ktm still just didn’t do anything for me so I went back to triumph and bought a triumph rocket 3gt chrome edition oh what a bike that is definitely a keeper an absolute fantastic bike I regret selling the speedmaster so I’m looking at buying another one and the bobber aswell and if I can afford it the 1200 xe scrambler so 4 triumphs I think my heart is %100 triumph I love them great videos love what you do they are great ride safe take care keep up the good work bye for now 👍👋
