Impossible Princess is my favourite album. But it is more than just an album, it really is a whole project. The videos, the tour and also the artwork from this era . Glue them all together and it makes for a pretty impressive project 💙

I’m so glad you reviewed this era of her music videos, I knew you’d love them. For me, Rhythm of Love was where she grew up and the videos became more memorable and sexy, I guess. I personally really loved and still do, what do I have to do and Shocked. Confide in Me and Put yourself in my place and Did it again. These were the ones that I loved the most and remember when I first saw them. Thanks Benny boy.

Gotta say to leave the music video for "Where is the feeling" off this list is a crime. It is one of the best remixes of any of her songs ever and the video is dark and haunting and sinister. To convert what was such a bubblegum pop song on the album to this dark gem was pure genius. So simple but probably one of my favourite videos of hers ever

When you reviewed the Kylie Minogue - Kylie Minogue album a bit back I remember you weren't liking it a lot besides Confide in Me and I was waiting to see what your reaction would be to Put Yourself In My Place and thankfully you liked it and I commented on that reaction that "I was gonna go on a full on rant if you didn't like Put Yourself in My Place haha! 🤣 She performs this live incredibly well." Now that you've watched the music video to go with it, it's even better now isn't it?! It's one of my absolute favourite songs of hers. Great to singalong to as well! And What Do I Have To Do was a groundbreaking clip for Kylie. It was the time where she seemed to really own her sexuality. There was a bit of controversy on the girl-on-girl action/dancing, and the ironing scene is a very famous black and white print of the 80s/90s bought to life. Lastly, I think you'll find that What Do I Have To Do is a favourite for a HUGE amount of Australian gay men. Why? Because she performed this song live at the 1994 Sydney Mardi Gras After Party at the midnight show wearing a pink tutu. This was probably the moment she secured legendary status for gay men. I know, because I was there! It was all anyone could talk about. You can watch a really grainy version of it on YT but you'll still get the idea of how big it was. If you want to know what kind of person Kylie is/was, read the lyrics of Impossible Princess. I wish she kept on doing more personal stuff, even though we had her perfect pop hits, her writing is impeccable.

@@bennshoutsYou should give Breathe another listen. It's so good and there are some excellent remixes - I think the Sash remix was the version played on radio.
Rythm of Love era was queer camp heaven. And for some reason lesbians went crazy for What Do I Have to Do and adopted Kylie at that point (the gays had her at Locomotion) falling in love with her chic lipstick-lesbian look. Also the Shocked single version and video had the rap, which improved the album version. But then Confide in Me REVOLUTIONISED Kylie's image and she became cool and edgy. I was a huge Kylie fan back then and I don't even remember Some Kind of Bliss or Cowboy Style having ANY cultural impact at all so they were unnecessary watches in my opinion. Did it Again was HUGE, and yes the video was reminiscent of Confide in Me. Disappointed no Breathe video, as it also had an impact at the time, especially in the clubs with a club version, but I love the original's sexy slow vibe, and the music and video are reminiscent of Put Yourself in My Place.
Did It Again and Confide are historical, cannot believe it took me this long to see them! ❤️

After all these years What do I have to do, confide in me and Put yourself in my place are still one of her best sonically and visually. Did it again is an amazing video but always thought the song was a bit meh.

As much as I love Kylie and had been a fan since her early years, I prefer her earlier albums. Her recent ones, not so much. Not because she's not good. Just not a fan of modern music in general.
