This is one of those albums I wish I could hear for the first time again. It was such a hot hot summer, the month it got released, and I just really associate this with those high school days. Got to see the tour front row with two of my best friends and Kylie just rocked it. What an album♥

I just relistened to the album today for the first time in probably 15 years.. I think it could be released today and still sound fresh I'm all aphrodite has a special place in my heart I can't believe I'm going to say this.. fever may be her masterpiece

I went to the Aphrodite tour at The Hollywood Bowl (and Las Vegas). When she did Put Your Hands Up, the place went mad...everyone jumping in unison...with hands up, naturally. It was a euphoric moment. One of my favorites.

My favourite Kylie album to date, sounds so 2010 without feeling dated in the slightest bit. I think most fans and critics would agree that it's one of her strongest albums, up there with Fever and Impossible Princess.
Commercially it fared well, peaking high in several countries and netting platinum certifications in the UK and Australia. Even in the US, which has always been opposed to Kylie's music, this album charted well by making the top 20. All The Lovers was a big European hit in the summer of 2010 and a huge club hit globally, and the accompanying concert tour was also extremely successful (at one point Kylie even played an arena in the US of all places). While the album wasn't as huge as say some other pop LPs from the time like Katy Perry's Teenage Dream or Lady Gaga's The Fame, you have to remember Kylie was 42 then and 23 years into her career. Doing as well as she did without the US to rely on is a testament to the album's quality and to Kylie's appeal as an artist and a performer.

This album is stunning & EPIC!!!! But it plays second fiddle to the APHRODITE: LES FOLIES TOUR!!!! There has never been such a groundbreaking tour!!! #FACT!!!!!! Even GAGA tweeted Kylie to thank her , Kylie lent GAGA THE STAGE!!! But stated …along the lines that KYLIE’s tour has pushed female artists to UP THEIR GAME!!!!!!

This album is TIMELESS. Most projects from the early 2010's are so nostalgic and dated in sound (doesn't mean I still don't love them lmao) - but almost all of these tracks still sound current. The first 4 track run STAYS on repeat! THE POWER OF KYLIE!
The song illusion.. to me.. is a lush masterpiece
Closer is probably my favorite Kylie song ever and that is saying something considering she always slays

This gave Kylie her fourth #1 album in the UK. The first since Fever in 2001. Overall worldwide it didn't sell quite as much as its predecessor X, tho (except for the US where it did better than X).
Put Your Hands Up actually was the fourth and final single off this album, so you were right on the money there. ;)

X (2007), Aphrodite (2012), Kiss Me Once (2014), Fever (2002) are her biggest dance pop albums from the new millennium. 28:25 It wasn't a scare, she had breast cancer bad. Somewhat overshadowed these days, the self-titled Kylie Minogue (1994) album features the best vocals of her career with lush, genre-spanning production. A lengthy double album, the sound is classic 90s R&B which ruled the airwaves at the time meets New Jack Swing flourishes (again popular) mixed with House and 70s disco. It's a time capsule for those seeking to hear quintessential 90s music. Disc 1 has the standard tracks while Disc 2 has mainly House remixes and some acoustic versions. If you are Gen Z, the songs will be too long for Spotify and TikTok attention spans. The shorter tracks are 4+ minutes while longer remixes can be 8+ minutes long.

My favorite Kylie album! So cohesive and future-sounding, it hasn’t aged a single day.
One of the main producers was Stuart Price, who worked with Madonna on Confessions on a Dance Floor and Dua Lipa’s Hallucinate. The man is Midas.
Don’t forget its Christmas season so please please watch Kylie’s A Kylie Christmas (Live From The Royal Albert Hall 2015). Her high note for Your Disco Needs You is the cherry on top!

This album was huge in charts and sales.... This album got her back in the number 1 spots and top 10 album charts round the world , highest charting album positions since her Fever album in 2001, was a important album for Kylie and her career to carry her through to the 2020s where she is today.... Kylie's such a QUEEN 👑 💯 🎤 Definitely one of her best albums.... You should check her 2020s Disco album out, it's her best album since this one 💯👌 Chur from New Zealand 🇳🇿 P.S Illusion is my favorite track on this album a gem! 👍🙏🤟🤙

Always thought PYHU should have been the follow up to ATL. It eventually had a limited late release but thought it was a massive missed opportunity. So lovely watching your first reaction. Brings back all the mems. ☺
Only echoing what most others have said…. The tour is literally the best concert I have ever been to, and I can’t see it being beaten tbh.
My favourite Kylie album since it was released. Of it’s time but not dated and almost futuristic in places. It was released when I was in Portugal on holiday, coming after ‘X’ album. The only album that has come close since for me is ‘Disco’ which is now my second favourite of hers, with ‘Fever’ a close third.
You’ll love ‘Closer’ and ‘Illusion’ in the Aphrodite tour too I’m sure!

About the album, it's a monumental perfect dance-pop masterpiece, it was produced by the magician of the dance floors(and co-producer of the legendary Confessions on a Dance Floor by Madonna), Stuart Price.
Better Than Today was obligatory in this album because it was written by a woman i forgot the name and the label wished that the song was in Aphrodite.
There's a magical bonus track called "Mighty Rivers", it's calm, soft, relaxing, but more dancing than Everything Is Love(which i love too)
I can't wait to you react the 2020's masterpiece, DISCO, and after that, hear it's evolution, DISCO(Extended Mixes), released 1 year after. DISCO was one of her career masterpieces and definitive records, she works hard on that era(that's why we get Extended Mixes, Guest List, Infinite Disco Show and Infinite Disco live album).
This record is so important to me that i have 3 different versions of cds and i want buy the Extended Mixes vinyl(even don't having where to play)
These two records are, i want a second version of Aphrodite too.
Kylie Minogue 1994 is by far my favourite album of hers. I highly suggest you take a listen!

If you do the Aphrodite Tour, take note of the “Confide In Me” intro. Its an extract from the “Big Brothers Mix”, and it’s AMAZING!
My favorite Kylie album and probably my fave album to go running. The first 4 songs are just overdrive of energy to go running trail through hills, i have a route that are more or less matched with the tracklist, and the feeling while the final hill that i must run with the bridge of Put your Hands up is heaven, to slow down with closer and rest a little then with Beautiful. I used to skip this one, but the tour version made it shine. The one song that draws this album for me is Better Than Today... feels so out of place that i just erased it from the tracklist😅 Angel are the other one that feels unpolished compared to the rest, but its ok between Cupid and Feeling.
I considered this an over-sugar album, but maybe it has fermented well, like mead... yes, that is the flavor.
Would love to see live this tour blinded, without knowing anything that were going to happen.
I wasn’t into Kylie until i saw her live at her very first US Tour date in 2009 in Oakland, CA. My friend dragged me to it(begrudgingly). I grew up with Madonna and always thought of Kylie as a bubblegum pop version of her. I think it was for “X”. I was BLOWN away by her production. To me, she was everything Madonna wasn’t. Her dancers were hotter, her show had way more dirty, clubby elements than anything I’ve seen from M. Don’t get me wrong. Madonna is number one for me but after seeing her I’ve been huge fan ever since. I bought “X” and loved every track. I have to say though that “Everything Is Beautiful” is my favorite song on Aphrodite. The slow burn really gets me going. I used to train for marathons listening to this and when that and the title track came on, my workout hit. She has been hot and cold with her albums and she’s never toured the states since Aphrodite but i still get everything she releases. Loved Disco.
I love this! I think this album would turn anyone into a fan of her, especially seeing her live, you cannot say anything and about her performances, LITERALLY insane!!

Have millions of emotions and things to say, but if I distill that something that is essential for me with this lovely lady, is that her version of pop always has this fresh twist of indie experimental whatever - very subtly, but enough to make the songs stand out.
And the elecro beats, ah! Eargazm...

I also cried when I listened to Illusion once, and felt so ridiculous afterwards, because who cries to a dance pop song 😂 but it is just such a fantastic, melodious and captivating song, wonderfully fitting to the all time classics All the lovers, Get outta my way and the hidden smash hit Closer. (And Too much. And Cant beat the feeling. Basically almost all of them are great. What a cohesive album!)

I do love this album, but it’s very very intense, with lots of heavy kitchen sink production, that somehow doesn’t drown her charisma out. You have to be in the right mood for it, it’s a noisy pop onslaught! All The Lovers is prob still my favourite kylie song, that middle 8 is so euphoric.

Yeah it’s her best album. It’s easily my top 15 for sure. And I’m very picky with my music but she hit it out of the park with the sound, the style of the cover and the theme too. She’s really a goddess.
Going from Cupid to Looking for an Angel is the two best couple tracks.
