    I bought it last year, The dev is honestly very passionate about his project, however you missed a critical thing about this, Red had to entirely recode the game to replace the AI system for a newer adjustable one which he still tweaks. Which caused alot of bugs, There used to be a workbench where you could craft the attachments to your guns.
    Additionally there was a Arena which is being reworked.
    All "bugged" missions are mostly not finished with a small exceptions.
    The plains which was the biggest update prior to the recode used to have a major faction name'd Liberty, But in my opiniom they were made too strong and are more based on Fallout's Brotherhood of Steel as they are Tech hungry soldiers in Power Armor. And honestly they were a bit too much and I hope when Red finishes up the Plains and the Arena that he makes some major tweak to the loot drop to make it worth fighting them. I won't spoiler much, but taking their armor is a bit hard.
    The AI USED to drop their weapons but Red changed it which I too found to be a bad change. Like come on!
    And it is always best to report the bugs on the Discord which he ALWAYS sees on there and often fixes them with high priority except when they are some minor terrain glitches.
    Fargone used to have a decent chunk of content in the Legacy edition (Available to public in the beta), And I hope he gets more appreciation for how much he does for the community.

    If anyone likes low poly games the best one by far is "Surroundead".. I believe it's one guy who made the game and the dude has literally been updating the game for like two straight years now constantly and the game is freaking awesome..you should totally do a review on it

      Thanks. Yeah I kind of felt bad being so critical but the game needs ALOT of work before it's something beyond a concept and I found it BS that the asking price is on par with other far more complete games of higher quality many of which are in early access.
      Surroundead is a game I bought with my own money with a similar price point and concept and I plan to make a video on it soonish. Much much better game and has only been in EA maybe 6 or so months longer than this.
      Always try to keep it honest and I wont let anybody buy me.

    I purchased this back in early 2023 and while I enjoy it I felt like the game was trying to be "The Jack of all trades, Master of none" . I made the suggestion that they should dial back the zombies (because the market is oversaturated with them) and lean more towards the mutants. Fargone is basically lowpoly STALKER, they might as well lean hard into it. People would be incredibly receptive to an easily modified low poly STALKER.

    • @BrokenCircle1
      @BrokenCircle1  6 месяцев назад

      I 100% agree. I think it needs to lean into Stalker more while also being it's own thing a bit more. The zombies thing is just in my mind too much. I really don't even like how alot of Stalker mods add too many zombies in. It's cool that they're there but when they overtake or are just as common as other mutants in the game its not fun.

    I have over 125 hrs in the game & i agree with most of what you said. I have had it for maybe 2 yrs or so & it does get regular updates & has come along compared to when i first got it. It does have great potential & not sure what kind of knowledge they have far as who is working on the game but it is making progress for the better. If i get bored i just come back here & there when i feel like it or when there is an update or patch. In previous versions the bad guys dropped guns way too often almost every single enemy dropped a gun. It is bit too light on guns dropping imo now. The dungeon they have in the one bunker is very fun & very interesting enemies & noises to say the least. You will get stuck & save often. The weapon progression from green to purples is pretty nice though hard to figure out when a scope or muzzle fits to what weapon but you have to try them out manually right now. Armor is about the same far as progression. The night vision is nice but needs some work & a long range weapon with a silencer is a must for groups of enemies or anywhere zombies are near & will swarm you if not using a silencer while just shooting . I have good hopes for this game in future.

      @usmctanker7729 Fair enough. I'm not sure.
      I'll definitley revisit it at some point but for me with the state that it's in right now it's a hard pass.
      I do know there is an update soonish so maybe then it will be good.

    Good thing i saw your video and didn’t set plans for getting this games as financial situation of my country makes it hard for me to get any game any time i want, on top of that I figured out I should get stalker trilogy first as I have money saved up for it, one thing I noticed about fargone is how some models are way more detailed compared to others, like revolver compared to characters arms, or boxes compared to character heads, there should be more variety in both zombie and human enemies, similar to how stalker has factions and different mutants

      Thanks for watching! Yes I agree go with the Stalker trilogy they are great games. (Clear Sky is a bit rough though).

      @@BrokenCircle1 indeed it needs lot of work, especially on most standard things however I don’t wanna judge everything from one side because i’m not familiar with development situation and what is going on with developer, game in my region costs 8 dollars which is still not worth in my opinion, it could use some enemy placements too so it would cover up huge empty areas for traversal, add in few side quests as well and interactivity, for now i will only keep in mind fargone exist, if I enjoy stalker franchise i will also try generation zero and chernobylite

    That’s too bad that the game is a mess at this point. It definitely looks interesting. Let’s hope whoever making it is able to fix the game’s various issues and add more content to better flesh out the world.
    Since you mentioned Daggerfall have you tried out Daggerfall Unity? It ports the game into Unity and comes with various bug fixes, quality of life improvements, and is now VERY moddable. There’s a wide array of crazy cool mods that add more content to the game. It’s crazy seeing what people have added to the game, and what the base game is for the time it came out. The original devs are working on this new game called Wayward Realms, and their studio is Once Lost Games. The videos they’ve put out look cool, and from what they’ve said the Discord shows off their plans. It will be crazy to see an rpg with a bunch of well made procedural systems and community driven lore.

      @shreksnow1918 6 месяцев назад +1

      Makes sense. Elder Scrolls is my favorite fantasy setting because it’s so unique. If you look into the deep lore it gets pretty crazy. It’s one of those settings where thought can shape reality. Multiple contradictory things can simultaneously be true because of how the metaphysics works. Unfortunately, Bethesda has used this as an excuse to keep retconning stuff and clearly don’t care about the lore. That setting has so much potential that sadly won’t reach its full potential anymore. Thankfully, there’s a bunch of cool mods and some of them have genuinely good stories that are true to the source material (like a cool project that expands Tamriel using Morrowind era lore).

    Id rather have 10 bodies to loot with nothing inside of them than 10 bodies with 3 bullets each
    The first instance feels more mature, the second instance feels like the game is giving you 3 bullets back for killing something as a way to keep your attention.
    Stalker still does this better than any game ever, especially Anomally which is king at making you feel worthless
