I want the game pass app on every damn screen that I can imagine and they do too
I feel like Microsoft should continue to make Xbox consoles. It's a great machine. I see this cloud step as just them doing their mobile gaming thing. I'd definitely purchase a Fire stick simply to game whenever I'm going to be away from home for a bit.
Xbox will continue to make Xbox consoles for générations to come
it will countinue, if you have seen the short which told that the will stop in 2027, its fake. its a stupid trend where everytime xbox/microsoft do something bad everyone thinks its the end for xbox
Samsung tvs already have xbox cloud gaming with Ai upscaling😊adding to the amazon stick is a great idea
Just having the choice is what's worth it. Its a lot easier to just have all the capabilities in one
It is about having an Xbox account , But you can play your games on any device or platform
I have Xbox ultimate, play it on my 65 with a Samsung S9 (broken screen - Dex dedicated now, has a USB C to 3 usb ports, 2 SD, 1 charge in, hdmi out) It's actually awesome. Play it on my laptop, cell phone.
I would prefer to bring a Fire Stick TV or something like that to a friend's house rather than bringing my Series S.
@@felixelton just wait till next generation which I think they will jump start next year when sony brings out the ps5 pro bc they are planning a handheld like the switch
You wouldn't even need your own stick. You could just sign in on his Xbox app on his.
@@coryvallad7578 The Playstation 5 Pro is going to be a machine that runs 8K games on a monitor and the rumors are not indicating that the next Playstation portable is going to be hybrid (I really want it to be). But Xbox seems to be more interested in a hybrid handheld gaming PC with Phil Spencer talking a lot in public about his wish to Xbox making one of this machines.
@@StephenYuan yeah! I can convince one or two of my friends on buying an Amazon TV stick. 🤭🤭
Ain't no way a Fire Stick is matching the graphics, load times and performance of a Xbox. I don't get it. What am I missing?
Project Keystone should of been released as the Series E on a sidenote Xbox should be start branding their services, controllers, accessories, and Non-consolse products as X-LVL brand by Xbox instead of Xbox brand by Xbox on say [Samsung TV] for example with them going multi-brand like they are
The Series K wouldve been perfect if we had the stream your own library through cloud that is speculated to becoming soon, I wouldve bought one just for the size since I take my Series S to parties with friends to play multiplayer and back compat games
Ain't no way a Fire Stick is matching the graphics, load times and performance of a Xbox. I don't get it. What am I missing?
It's cloud steaming
What if the plan is to just leave the console wars, and to make the console/pc giving us an option to upgrade?
Or just be like Steam or Epic and just leave it as their app on every Windows PC. Now I think this is going to work better for them.
Latency should suck kind of hard.
nah,
Xbox saw the shut down of stadia, so they paired with Amazon and said yup I can do this😂
Hopefully it will be a hit for Xbox and Amazon, the more people play games is always a good thing
Awesome video. I just got back into gaming about 6 months ago. First got a switch ps5 gaming pc and last weekend x box x for the ability to play old 360 games.
For 360 games you they will need to be Backwards Compatible 360 Games have been converted. I still have my 360 and the 360 Marketplace is closing down on July 31st. 2024 (that's the store on the 360). They have almost the entire catalog of games for $1.99 per games. You can't purchase at that price on your current console through the MS store.
Great video as always! I accidentally signed up for an overtime shift today, which is 16-hour one. So, I decided to try streaming on my "2022 MacBook Air" yes a Mac. Surprisingly, even on the company guest Wi-Fi, I haven't experienced any lag. The gameplay has been smooth, and it’s helped pass about 7 hours of my day so far. So I have to give the stream a 8.5-10 (not a 10 because I cannot play me personal library)
Games(Fallout 4, Badlands, Ghost Recon Wildlands & StarField) Keep killing the game broski.
Clinton M
You accidentally signed up for a 16 hour shift that you're now going to spend getting paid to stream games on a MacBook?
If I was your boss I'd be pissed, but..
what I'd give to be in your shoes...
I know for a living fact that "no input lag" and "guest wifi" do not go together😂
I love my Xbox Series X, but I think the cloud gaming is a great way to get more of the casual gamers.
I have several Amazon Fire Stick on my house. Might consider using them for Xbox streaming... if Xbox Cloud was available in my country
Doesn't every samsung tv come with xbox cloud gaming built in??😮
I have two and both have the app. It works just as good as playing a game on my series x..... but I have 1 GBPS internet
@@danieljones3413 ya not everyone has 1 gig and fiber lol that's why it will never go full blown cloud gaming. It also takes forever for fiber networks snd 5g to be installed.
I have a Samsung and it has received recent firmware updates over last 6 months. I have many apps, but Cloud Gaming is not an option on my TV. It I guess depends on how old or model your TV happens to be.
@@Skier7667 yeah
@danieljones3413 cool I have 400mbps symmetrical download and upload speeds
Its gonna be like those games you can play at a hotel but portable
I think Microsoft should offer an affordable streaming-only tier of Gamepass. Even if that includes ads to keep it under $10/month.
For the people who maybe play mobile games or a Switch occasionally, but want to try out bigger games they wouldn’t have access to. They lost the “console wars”, but with something like this they could attract a much wider audience to the platform.
Yeah with the ads it could work but for now the top tier price makes up for people not having the hardware. How many people are going to play Indiana Jones without an Xbox and only pay for one month of Game Pass..
Me for one 😁
@@evermillcreek If the platform was advertised properly the people just looking to save money would be very a small percentage. I’m thinking about the people playing Sims Mobile occasionally wishing they could play Sims 4
@@Juberdingus I'm a console-only Nintendo-and-atmospheric-indie-game person, plus some Japanese stuff exclusive to PS5 (annoyingly), sometimes Google Play stuff. I would only ever play Xbox by cloud really, as I'm already triggered by having more than one console lol
You can do that now. Just hook a controller up to your phone and you have a portable gamepass device or anything you can download gamepass to@evermillcreek
I think it would make more sense if it was a remote play device, so you can one play your console in other rooms
I would have bought it to be honest just as a portable Xbox
I think they all are portable. I mean non of them weigh thaaatt much. But. I think the series x is more portable. But I can see how this would be as well. But only streaming. Not being able to just play online by getting a game online. Only online streaming? Idk man. Hand held is definitely a better idea in my opinion If they wanna go with a better portable option. And it'd come with a screen. Ezzzzz. If you get the console he's talking about that hasn't been put on the market. You'd need a screen. And a hdmi
Another thing. You'd have to have another hdmi cord whenever you went. OR spent money on getting one specifically for the console. And controller too. And if not spending money on a hdmi. And a new monitor or TV. Then you'd disconnect your hdmi from your TV. Which would suck to put back for allot or people. And or bring your TV. OR have one wherever you went
I think just a xbox handheld would be a much better decision
Oh and I forgot. You'd also need to bring a power cord to run the xbox
Ever heard of backbone controller for smartphones
Played fallout new Vegas on my 4k fire stick. It ran but lag was heavy for bit. I have fios and well over 200 up and 200 down wifi. So unless it had a ethernet plug in, I don't see cloud gaming on these sticks getting better lol
I can't imagine it will bring in many more new subscribers. I think they will have current customers streaming on Amazon devices
Yeah i had the same thought.
This adds 200 million more potential customers for gamepass don't really help Amazon with customers but it does Xbox
@@alexanderb759 What do you mean it don't help amazon. Amazon sells the firestick = profit... xbox sells the gamepass = profit
it's a win / win.
Considering I don’t have a Amazon device nor any need or want for one, I genuinely do think it’ll bring in new subscribers, at the very least I can see people checking it out and trying.
I know one thing my Xbox community, I look at my Xbox app as my console I have been looking at it like that ever since the app has came out because that's how I use it I haven't used the console in God knows how long, I'm telling you once you stick with it ,it is addictive and hard to go back
@@vshon1220 lmao 🤣 ya and that's garbage way to look at it too 🤣 unless you have high speeds for your internet and fiber it will never be the same as console. Native play will always be the better option
What about input lag. And do games run well on amazon fire stock😅
It's bad. And that's for the less detailed games.
that all depends of your internet providers my friend input lag is because of the 100mb that most internet provider say you get enouph
I'd buy a fire stick, so I can use it at hotels or anywhere I go with any tv, great stuff
Problem is their is no Xbox cloud gaming app on firestick unless you side load it
good for single player games but for everyone who plays call of duty or other competetive pvp games the delay is a disadvantage (and call of duty is the most played, most successfull game atm), i think this will hinder a broad acceptance and establishment of cloudgaming, nice to have, but a local computing unit like a console will still be the foundation of the gaming industry
Bro I am BEGGING Xbox to let Amazon make a Halo TV show. Paramount clearly HAS NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE DOING!!!
Yeah but Amazon fumbled lord of the rings. HBO would be more ideal
It's already been done so it won't happen. Microsoft blew it with Halo live action
I think it's gonna be a great device for people who have multiple TVs or people in household. I would stream a game or two that I currently play in console so I like the idea of having a second screen
@@brandongoree2079 Even if one has a second Xbox, keeping them all up to date with downloaded games is usually a pain
@@duderdude4831 But did you see Fallout ?
Ray, I was wondering if that price range $99-$129 Was just for streaming games off of game pass or if included streaming digital games you bought from the Microsoft store and like you said.
I don't believe you can play your personal library of games on that service. You need to use your console to play games. Only the games in Game Pass which are in the Cloud, you can play. If you own the game, but it is in the Cloud, you will be able to play it, but it must be on Game Pass.
There is definitely a reason they did it this way for sure.
How would this affect those of us that stream directly to Twitch and other broadcasting services if we have to stream the games as well?
@@WaynesWorldUnlimited you don't have to tho lol streaming will never be the only option ......
It will depend on your bandwidth - Up and down.
for your information the ps portal works great, no problems at all
Xbox just needs to go ahead and release the handheld Xbox with the ability to buy and store games on the handheld as well or at least have the capability to have a copy of the games you already have on your console on the handheld and not just be a streaming handheld. If they do release something like that, I am definitely buying one even if it's a little bit pricier than the Series S, just a little bit. I would buy it for the convenience factor. If Xbox drops something like that, Nintendo would be in big trouble, and all these other handhelds.
The series X is my favorite console since the original Xbox
I feel like 135 will be a fair price . Shit I'll will even pay 150 for this
Sounds like Google gaming service they cancelled last year. Which was good if you had decent internet.
Behold! It's a STICK!
Hopefully that makes it to Amazon tablets too
It's not them or Sony. It's the government not working on the stability of 5g. Once the stability of 5g happens then streaming would definitely work
It has nothing to do with 5G, a fire stick uses wifi, not 5G
@@chipstowe2490 lmao 🤣 iv gamed on 5g and let me tell you it's not that big of a difference.......... not to mention when everyone is using that all at once good fling luck lol streaming will never be rhe full blown norm
@coryvallad7578 I don't think your understanding qhat I'm saying but hey.
I see crunchyroll in the back. What you watching ?🤨
Xbox til infinity!!!! 🎉🎉
Hi Ray. I’m a casual gamer and I love cloud gaming. I don’t have an Xbox, but I do have Game Pass ultimate. I have a Logitech G cloud and a Samsung TV.
On Luna and Game Pass ultimate.
Do you think Xbox will make a cloud controller to reduce the chances of latency with these streaming devices.
Luna had low latency with their cloud controller.
We know how much to make a new controller
It would be very ideal if your going to family or friends house without lugging your console around that’s the perk or benefit to it all I think but at the same time most of peoples friends own the same console so I dunno
So Amazon makes the console and xbox Microsoft sell the service?
The firestick already available for a long time, its just another smart tv stick. So the only offer the service ^^.
Maybe a streaming console but that can play xbox 360 games natively
Fr playing cod black ops 2 on the go would be heavenly
That is hard, because the game is actually playing in the cloud, so you are really using the cloud server to play and your device, like a Samsung TV OR Firestick is your client. Your game in cloud gaming doesn't emanate😀 from your home, it emanates from the cloud and the TV is simply a screen that is connected to a server at Microsoft's facilities.
Deleting clips after 90 days and their excuse is a made-up ‘policy’. I don’t know what clips have to do with a policy
It costs money to keep clips stored on the server in the cloud. Uses up space when you look the millions of users that have clips in the cloud. Face it, - that is not free. So, they make you download them to your local device. That will cost money.
I've started to look at all the saves that went up to OneDrive and realized i was running out of space. I had to make a hard decision- how often do i look at these clips. The last time I saw them was 15 minutes after I saved them. Then they sat there in the cloud. MS kept them on their server. That over the years amounts to a lot of housekeeping that MS has to maintain.
That is why they are forcing you to download them, because the truth is for most of the clips, you likely will delete them. They were an infatuation for the moment, a memory that is forgotten.
On my TCL TV I have Xbox game pass app and controller connected straight to tv 😅
Im waiting for Xbox app for Nvidia Shield or other AndroidTV devices. Not only firetv stick.
Amazon should just merge luna with game pass now
If we have Amazon prime or Xbox game pass then let us have both for a single price. Then let us watch Jeff and Bill fist fight each other before the Tyson vs Paul event for bundle funzies. Everyone wins.
Great video bro
So ong story short: instead of advancin 3 spaces there buildin on what they already have n expandin there wings
I ask my girlfriend about the fire stick from Amazon the other day because I read a article about it she said we paid 50 for the 4k stick and ask me why 😂 I told her and she not happy about it but i was happy from what I understood from the article it come out in July or August
if you know the code youll get all chanel but they dont provide the code the code with it
That miner is NOT Xbox 💀
Any streaming only console or device will be rendered useless when the service is inevitably shutdown. Why buy something that has an expiration date?
Ok, I am an xbox 360 guy, and love having the disc show I own the game. And like to buy updated xbox but don't like the download games with disc. some told me you can download game to hard drive and that you own it. but I don't like to play online games and thought now gen system are all online gaming now?
Bare minimum 18dollars? But gp ultimate costs €15, core is 9.99 😅
Amazon is gonna have Game Pass. I’ll watch the video in case what I believe isn’t the truth .😂
It would be more like Lenovo legion go than PS Portal. THE PORTAL just streams locally not remotely so you STILL need your PS5 to be on the same LAN wrong comparison.
Well I guess there should be 2 different xbox branches. The new soon to be Project K again for digital only for gamepass and the like and the one for those who want to play their physical content ad digital content they bought
The Xcube
It's going to be a firestick
I saw what you did 😂🤣
Still waiting for the xbox series P or xbox portable
At the end of the year for the holidays.
I would buy that
I don’t mind cloud streaming
I use it all the time on my PS5 so I don’t have to constantly download games and delete games
PS5 cloud stream is way ahead of XBOXs
I tried to cloud stream XBOX and it was not the best hopefully XBOX brings in better games soon
😂😂😂 I don't believe you one bit. PlayStation doesn't have it's own cloud infrastructure. They literally rent servers from Microsoft. Microsoft has more servers at its disposal, meaning it absolutely plays better than any streaming service offered by Sony.
Ps portal is considered a success. Sony could barely keep them in stock.
But as gamers are thinking there would be a series c, or series k I think they will end up going the ps portal direction. Maybe it will include an option to buy with that mini series streaming box to get a better dedicated connection, but will also be compatible with the Amazon products.
I don't see ms making a dedicated portable machine. They have too much time and effort, along with cash, to just streaming through apps and having a handheld that will stretch their already hit or miss advertising. I think a portal-like hand held streaming device along with the dedicated stream box makes more sense. They see sony being successful and thats why they probably filed that patent.
Spencer already said two weeks ago that their handheld will play games locally, so you will be able to download and install games on it, it won't be like the Portal
@@gamedad7336 lmao they literally are already working on handhelds both xbox and playstation......
@@maximelemay8444 even sony is making a handheld it's already been leaked in their code names or whatever
Bro the PS portal was straight garbage you are glazing sony wayy too hard😂
Who the heck has stable enough internet? I can barely play COD online without getting booted because my connection is so slow. I cannot even get cable internet. We have T mobile LTE mobile home wifi.
No ethernet connection on fire stick and fire tv.
That's why it is called a firestick. The whole experience is supposed to be wireless. Face it, this is for your routine user out there. They for the most part not sophisticated like a PC user that tinkers with their video card or even a console warrior like us.
The idea behind this is, take the firestick, plug it into the USB in the back of your TV and that is it. Nothing more - you are connected, Real simple!!!
@@Skier7667 I know this. I have one in our guest room and a fire tv in my room, but as Ray was saying streaming games wirelessly sucks..

Steam Link taught the lesson, no one listened.
Where is the Xbox made by Amazon? Oh you meant that I can now stream Xbox games through certain Fire TV... I had to wade through 6 1/2 minutes to see this so called "Amazon made an Xbox"
Wait what there's a series K
Okay now I know it's not a thing currently
Where’s the disc drive?
Gamepass is digital only, like Netflix or Prime or Disney +, you don't need a disc drive to watch movies on Netflix
😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😊@@maximelemay8444
It's cloud gaming, there is no disc. You want a disk, then you need a console. At $49, they can't give you the firestick and a disc drive - that's expecting too much for $49.
Hi ray!
The console should not be the money maker.
It shouldn't be, but it is what provides the sicky part to get sucked in. Plus the experience is very solid and controlled. Xbox knows that if you play a game on the console, it will be at high fidelity, close to the quality of even equal to a PC experience.
Streaming games is the future. I have been saying it for 2 years. People tell me it is not. Just watch.
Games take up FAR too much space. Something is going to have to give and if streaming can maintain fidelity somehow, I absolutely agree. Game pass is already leagues above what we couldve ever expected 10 years ago
@MandosCulture lmao 🤣 ya if you have really really good internet 🤣 and that's a big if bc it still has tons of input lag snd is based on your internet speeds and location
Its a very decent supplement, nothing beats natieve hardware, there is a reason why many people buy high end pc or mid lvl pc's. Streaming is just a nice little extra.
NVIDIA does it by far the best. It's incredible how good it is. No one else comes close. There are also types of games that just won't ever feel as good.
Still a long way to go before enough of the market comes around.
@coryvallad7578 well i don't have much input lag compared to anything similar 10 years ago. I've played on bad internet too so you must be on a special potato
This also gives Xbox more games because Amazon bought studios and is making games now these games will be on gamepass Xbox is done playing around they are here to crush anyone who tries and get in there way
Mainly ps pony fan boiis bwuahahhaa
New world looked horribly grindy
Not all fire sticks... It will only be compatible with the 4k or higher models
😂 samsung had that built in already on their tvs for years
It will soon be available on all fire sticks 😮
NO absolutely will not buy an Amazon console
Project Keester 'cause your ass will be lagging all over the place.
Thus more proof to why should I waste my $$$$ on any new Xbox hardware other than a new controller. Thanks to Microsoft Gaming, Xbox will be nothing but software!
What ever happened to Xbox Brooklyn?
It Looks like a Mac Mini
They Probably got Slapped with Likeness Rights
if they actually managed to make streaming games good then I wouldn't mind getting one but I think this would just end up being a repeat of the Google stadia
@@Child_of_woe_1994 this isn't gonna be a something you want to go buy anyways just for gaming but it gives more options to play some games if you already own an Amazon device
Look at what happened to staidia
Yes, but Amazon now has Microsoft and Panos Paney, president of MS that headed the Surface line of products went to work for Amazon. They know what they are doing. What they need to do is to market it properly. It's working now pretty good with cloud gaming, at least for me.
:)😊
We need more content instead of more devices
Agreed.
Series S white / black
Series x digital / disc
Series x 2tb disc
5 fucking consoles...
1-2 years I bet there will be
Series X digital 2tb for $550 instead of $600
A device provides the glue to drag you in. It is just one of the vehicles to make it work.
I gave up on Xbox consoles and I had the first one all the way to day's Series X. I bought a gaming PC with the bells and whistles. I'm no longer a console player and happier about it and 100% sure I will not be looking back. 👋🏻 No more nickel and diming Xbox subscriptions
You're lucky, but most don't have the expertise to deal with maintaining a PC. Remember you will have to invest in the video card, and they are not cheap to stay or keep your rig up to date in order to play games at their best fidelity.

How about we just stop supporting mega corporations
Game streaming is still not a good enough. Not everyone has high enough Internet speeds. PC is better.
@@tonycollazorappo as far as gaming goes console is 1000 percent better pop a game in and play no need to f around with settings and pc hardware gettinf older or upgrades.... now as far as online gaming pc is the way to go bc of not having to pay to play online.

Dude, can you stop saying 'actually' so freakin much.
no.
Why do you let yourself be bothered by such a tiny thing?
Yeah amazon will save xbox wtever stop with this rubbish

Depends on your connection to the ecosystem. If you are a true gamer and that is one of your hobbies, you will likely go cloud, go PC or go PlayStation. OR just not play at all. Then gaming was not that important.
Did it tell you how badly Xbox sucks because it does Xbox is a piece of shit PlayStation is the ultimate game console and it always will be that's why Xbox is losing rights to their exclusive games soon you'll be Seeing Halo On PlayStation Cuphead already came to PlayStation so Halo is not to far off
Just another vehicle to play on. Because games go cross-platform, is not that important. PlayStation games have gone over from PlayStation to Xbox for years too. this happens when Sony has completely extracted every penny form the game, then they let it go. This is not something new, its old news, it' just that it's not been talked about. much.
