I love this man he cares about everyone. Although he has dementia there are lots of times when he communicates I feel there is nothing wrong with him as he explains things so well. I have been a carer and loved every minute doing this job. From my experience good communication with those unfortunate people is vital and they should not be left alone with no one to talk to. So my reason for my comment explains why beloved Ed is doing well he has a magnificent family taking care of him.
Yes, caring for a dementia parent. If you don't catch them, you never know what you're waking up to. I found melted ice cream, an open bottle of milk on the table, and the best one frozen breakfast sandwich in the room melted.
He never forgets your name Danielle. That should give you a warm feeling inside.He appreciates what you do for him, even though everything you do for him is exhausting, at least you know he’s appreciative.❤️
He asked you like you're still young, but then I think he realizes ur older. I love the mornings getting up before anyone, having the house to myself. I wholeheartedly agree. I have always thought that he rummages for food at night and that he is at least partially responsible for the messes Danielle finds. I have suggested that she should surreptitiously place cameras in food areas to determine the actual culprits. MAYBE it's not always Dan. Also, I have noticed that Ed does use that authoritative tone at times with both Danielle and Dan, as if they are still young kids and in his control. He must have been (and is still) very disciplined, controlling and opinionated as a parent.
If you don't know about dementia patients Ed's behavior is normal . I've been caring for my mother in law since 2018. Now, unfortunately, I wish she could just get out of bed. She's now at the end stage of the disease and is now on hospice care.

A woman’s work is never done, unfortunately. Last to go to bed, first to get up in the morning. Danielle never gets a full nights sleep. I don’t know how she does it but somehow she does. I wish I could hand over my useless hours to Danielle, I truly do. 💚🫂❤️⭐️
