Good to hear bro my problem is everyone wants to choose something different but if it’s the best exhaust in that price range why switch up u know. I’m super satisfied and u will be too mine shoots good flames on every chance it gets, a tune helps with it too
Thanks for the video I have a 17 that i gutted the cats on - im doing the same thing with a slip on M4 rly good to see its not going to be too obnoxious
So a decat pipe or a mid pipe would of looked better but for that slight look I would have to cut it off of the headers because the header is welded on to the mid pipe or I could just buy aftermarket headers and a mid pipe but then I’d have a full exhaust that cost about 8 or 900 more than I already spent for the slip on, so it’s just a value for money type of thing. I got money but to spend over 100 on a piece of pipe just to delete the cat and 700+ on headers just to get an extra 5hp wasn’t really worth it for me. This route got me about 90 percent of the benefits minus some pretty titanium headers and 5hp
I’ll be taking on this challenge here soon. Looking back would you have done it the same way by leaving the headers on the bike, or would you have removed them?
Looking back I think depending on how big of a headache removing the fairings are for u I’d take it off or leave it the only con to leaving it on is worrying about cracking the aluminum block by putting too much force on the pipe so if u can secure the pipes good then I’d leave them on
Yes it makes a difference I got a dyno video coming out on it this guy with the exact same tune, exhaust and bike got 2 less hp the only difference was my cats were gone and I had a hi flow air filter
How bad is it to run without a tune? Once you tune it the bangs and flames arnt guaranteed 😢 Iv removed all the honeycomb inside and enjoying the akrapovic exhaust a lot more now
No, but you’ll feel a power decrease. No point in doing it unless you will tune it. Well, I guess if you want flames and are too broke for a tune then that’s one reason. The reason you want a tune is to make sure the air fuel ratio is correct. The ecu assumes you still have the stock muffler and cat. It might be bad for the bike but not by much. I’m not a mechanic tho so take what I say with a grain of salt. Personally I would tune it as soon as I could but it wouldn’t be the end of the world.
Same reason people delete that cats on sports cars. It doesn’t help anything performance wise and it sounds better shoots more flames and gains a hp or 2
@@Rizziculous oh I see yeah the mid pipe with the cat is welded to the headers so ether bandsaw and weld ur own mid pipe, get a full system, or do what I did and just drill the cat out. Thanks for watching by the way and have fun with your new bike
Wish there were more videos like this tbh
Great choice bro! I just picked up my 2023 zx6r today, and this video was exactly what I needed to make my mind up on which exhaust 🙂

Well said, and I agree 💯🔥
Good job and persistence. That fork tool helped a lot.

all that carbon fiber lookinnn siiickkkk bro brooo🔥🔥🔥
Nothing like an M4!!! Great vid fam!
Mate great vid. Just curious, why didn’t you get a decat pipe instead of all the hard work to drill out the two honey combs. Cheers!

it only took me 1 hour and a half with 2 cold chisels
😂😂 nice
Where'd you get your rearsets?🔥🔥
All stock except carbon fiber heel guards from rpm carbon. Thanks for the follow homie got a cool vid coming this month
@@rhythmrain5232 oh ok, the carbon fiber looks dope. I just did a cat delete on my zx6r last week.
did u get a check engine light after the installation?
Honestly I don’t think so but I didn’t ride it much before I got a tune
Are you able to peel the m4 sticker off?
I don’t think so
Why did you say gonna throw it into neutral slowly? I sadly don’t know what you mean
If its anything like mine when you go to go into neutral it likes to skip from 1st to second
Iv got the akrapovic exhaust that came with mine. Would just removing the honeycombs make a difference? It’s a 3 week wait for the link pipes -.-

@@1hasy1 not too sure. Short term is fine is it just a slip on? You’ll be good to ride it
What type of cage is that ?
Impack tek race rails
What do you have to get the cat out?
NVM I googled it
Did removing cat get u a check engine light?
No
@@rhythmrain5232 ok in progress of doing that rk so when my muff gets here i can just slap it on
@@Bigmoose636 nice have fun!
@@rhythmrain5232 thanks
Is it ABSOLUTELY necessary to do a flash after cat delete?
I would say so yea. . If it was just a slip on no. He will probably throw a code too

GP19 sounds and looks better.
Next take the headers off the bike. Get a drill with a saw hole....
A saw hole would of worked but I got what I got on hand
Bro cats are in the headers
why drill out the cat?
Same reason people delete that cats on sports cars. It doesn’t help anything performance wise and it sounds better shoots more flames and gains a hp or 2
Well I know but I guess is there no way to take it off and get some sort of mid pipe? I'm getting this bike in a week and not familiar with it
@@Rizziculous oh I see yeah the mid pipe with the cat is welded to the headers so ether bandsaw and weld ur own mid pipe, get a full system, or do what I did and just drill the cat out. Thanks for watching by the way and have fun with your new bike

half men,half basically
What’s that saying supposed to mean
