Just an FYI: I’m seeing some comments about the price. Keep in mind there’s a coupon code on the description (not an affiliate link!).
I’ll see if I can get a better discount going, too.
BTW-I started used stock tanks back in 2017. They work, yes. But they can be a pain to clean and that means you’ll unlikely to make them a consistent habit.
The ice barrel is so easy to get in and out as well as clean, which means you’re more likely to actually use it regularly.

I love you and your content, but no amount of coupons or how thick and heavy it is justifies the amount of profit margins they're surely making off this. You're a business man...you know that they're making these for cheap.

@@Conceptsexplainedsimply Thanks, bud. I don't know the cost of goods, but do understand cash flow and inventory. I'd imagine they had to shell out lots of up-front cash to get these built and store them, plus shipping is outrageous now and they're heavy. Doubt their margins are as high as you think.

The price is for an American Made product made in OHIO. And it's double walled UV stabilized plastic. You'd only get a cheaper barrel if it's not double-walled and just straight off the container from China. Plus a 55-gallon drum is not a barrel shape.
I do think free shipping or somehow hiding it in the price to offer free shipping would make it more attractive.

That’s a helpful suggestion, thanks. I wish I could afford the ice barrel but it isn’t in the cards right now so it is helpful to hear what others are doing.

I was wondering why this thing is so damn expensive everywhere, I mean it’s just a barrel. Sure it might be insulted or whatever but geesh that price.
Then I saw your title American made and it all made sense.

Interesting. But, seriously, who’s going to lift me out? I fill my bath tub, sit in it, then jump out. No way is anyone going to rescue me if I intentionally jump into a garbage barrel full of cold water. But it was fun to watch, thank you for the review.

It's pretty wide in the middle, so you can def cover your shoulders. Getting in and out--depending on the length of your femurs would be the only hard part!

Great Video! But $1200 for a plastic barrel even at 50% off it's still expensive... these companies need to come back to earth...

plastic barrel sprayed with foam is a lot cheaper. Herein Miami you need an ice maker.

@@Highintensityhealth Dump out water, rinse, refill. Take a look at the rest of the comments Mike, don't just take it from me. You've got a great thing going here, we'd all hate to see you scuff a good reputation with overpriced adverts. Nothing but respect for you, cheers.
Edit: Just saw this isn't an affiliate link, that's a plus. Perhaps add in some cost effective budget alternatives on the side? A lot of people are hurting financially because of bidenflation right now and it would reflect well with the community to show that you're aware of it.

It's NOT an affiliate link at all. It's just an option. Agree times are challenging. If all people get out of this is the idea to DIY it with a garbage can, I'm cool with that!

Im sure it’s a nice product but I don’t think I’ll have 1200 for something like this, ever lol. I’ll do cold therapy seasonally in ice lakes instead while I invest in other things and just take cold baths and showers in between. I already have too much stuff too. Good video though

  • @HeroC14
    @HeroC14 2 года назад +1

Nice. Would do it but cost as everyone else is saying is an issue. The company should be honest and sell it at a more modest price. There are sauna units with more complexity and material starting at that price.
Sending you a free unit expecting people to just buy it at that price point is laughable. Hopefully they have someone in their marketing or finance to reflect and get serious about the cost of this thing.
Thank you Mike for the review though. I think everyone holding it against you not understanding that this is for people who have the money are incorrect and should just understand that sometimes money is not worth the paper it's printed on compared to a possible life changing habit or benefit.
