  • The Fenix E12 Version 2.0 Single AA Powered Ultra-Compact EDC Flashlight Ups it Game with a New Body, and Lens Style. It has a wonderful Beam Pattern, and Useful Modes. In this video I will compare the new E12 to the Lumintop Tool AA V2, and the UltraTac A1. Does the Fenix stack up to the Competition? Yes, by Offering a Premium Build, and a More Compact Size.

    Features I like about the E12 V2:
    Excellent Beam Pattern.
    Ultra Compact Design.
Runs on Standard AAs, or NiMH Batteries.
Thirty Lumen Medium Mode for Thirteen Hours. Found this Mode the Most Useful.
Low to Zero RFI. Important for us Radio Tuners :)
    Simple UI.
    Always Starts on Low.
    Classy Looks.
Five Lumen Low Mode for Seventy Hours. Perfect for Nightly Tuning Sessions.
    Tail Stands.
Twist Front Head will Also Change Modes.
    Hat/Belt Clip, and Lanyard Included.
    IP68 Waterproof.
Features that Could be Added or Improved on:
    Support for the 14500.
A Moon Light Mode of 1/2 Lumen.
Overall, there is Fierce Competition in this Single AA Flashlight Market. Expect the Lumintop Tool AA to Steal sales away from the Fenix due to its Price, and Performance. The Fenix is built to Impress by Design, Beam Pattern, and Size. For those who have a few extra bucks to spend will find themselves Happy with the E12 V2.

I just bought a COAST brand 1000 lumen PS1000 flashlight and a rechargeable 1200 lumen lantern.
You can't beat a LIFETIME GUARANTY.
Like to see you review the Coast G20, and the Coast EAL22 lantern.
    Thanks good video. 👍

I have both this one and a previous single mode version. Fenix makes fairly priced reliable products for EDC use in a real world.

This Fenix is right up my alley. My current favorite everyday pocket carry is my beloved Olympia AD160 lumen. It unfortunately seems to be overheating frequently on the high setting. It may be time for a replacement. The only thing I do not care for about it is the memory feature which seems to drain the battery faster. I'll have to check this Fenix out. Thanks for the review.

I got the E12 V3 the other week. Nice light but not as floody and has a slight greenish tint, a bit longer with a magnetic tail cap, but it has longer run times. Thanks for the vids. 👍

Fenix makes beautiful lights, no doubt about it, but they are often weak on lumens and Candela.
Just one example but the Tool AA 2.0 blows this away imo.
As long as you don’t mind the twisty, the 2.0 with the magnetic tail cap brings the length down quite a bit and maybe even equal to the Fenix.

if you had to choose between Fenix E12 vs Olight I5T vs Lumintop Tool AA, which one would you go with? Thanks in advance

Tool, for its versatility. Runs on 14500s, and has a mag base conversion kit to really shorten things up.

Not this one. Some find it desirable. Put a lithium AA in there, and it could be ready to use for years.
