      This team is real man. Maybe not this year, but next year. Their lineup has a top 5 Player who happens to be a PG (the floor general), an 20-10-5 All Star PF (the enforcer), the best defensive wing in the league who can make his threes (third all star?), one of the best 3pt shooters in the league with a ridiculously quick release and a Defense/Passing-first Center who can make his FTs and is developing a deadly floater. And this is before you consider our six man(Hart) is developing to be a triple double threat every night and promised to work on his shooting this offseason. Sign iHart and OG. Extend Randle and Brunson. This is a squad that can easily complete and be elite for the next 5-7 years. About time. Its been too fucking long. LGK.

    I have no idea why “superstars” don’t have pride and enjoyment in bettering themselves in defensive side. Being able to lock up somebody and have great defense and not allow points to be scored is a great feeling that leads to even better things on offense. But that doesn’t get them into highlight reel unfortunately so it doesn’t matter, what matters is taking 3000 between the legs and a step back 3

    • @ElTuco84
      @ElTuco84 8 месяцев назад +9

      That's why legends are a level above from superstars. Some of MJ and Lebron most famous highlights are defensive plays. There's a ton of MJ steals leading to fastbreak dunks and Lebron sprinting to get a block.

    • @7jcjg
      @7jcjg 8 месяцев назад

      money is money, they are paid to score so they neglect what wins championships, since its a job for most of them at the end of the day. its why lebron has been so successful, he can play defense with the best when he turns it on, and he does turn it on when he needs to.

Didn't even know the knicks were playing like this but not surprised because O.G. fits exactly what Thibs likes. He is rich man's Luong Deng when Thibs was at Chicago. Even though was a Jordan/Bulls fan before Toronto got our team, always loved the rough style the Knicks played with defensively. Say what you want about John Starks but that guy grinded out minutes against Jordan willingly. Oakley, Mason, Wilkins, Ewing, Marc Jackson... That team with Riley as the coach, that was Knicks basketball.

    OG Anunoby gives 100% on defense all the time. He is the reason the Knicks came in 2nd in the East. When OG plays they are 15-3, when he doesn't they are a .500 team.

    Thibs great coaching PLUS, if you ever hear a Knick miked-up, they talk all the time on defense. All of them are COMMUNICATING all the time on defense. Fabulous D.

    As a Knicks fan and Celtics hater I couldn’t even edge the entire game, I exploded as soon as they went up by double digits

      I'm happy to see it too. Seeing the Knicks be a joke for so long is not healthy for the sport of basketball.

    Would not shock me at all to see the Knicks in the Conference Finals this year.
