@@GideonMitchellYT hmm.. but if you have watched peep show, you would know that he has displayed his sincerity towards acting before! However, I think his intensions are only to make the humor more potent!
@@GideonMitchellYT Ooh, good to know. He's just so effortlessly funny. I shouldn't be surprised that he's also good dramatically. When comics go serious, it hits hard.
*Great* and *cozy* crime drama, binged all 6 episodes in 3 nights, just incredible! A light and funny spin on a dark and heavy concept, _great if you're a beginner of this genre_
I missed the first episode, but luckily there’s a repeat on BBC two on Wednesday 2 October at 4:20 AM Central European time, which is an hour earlier in the UK.
The premise of this show is off, in that he can pose as his identical brother detective working with other detectives who cannot work out he doesn't know his job or any of them.
I watched the first episode of this load of rubbish waiting for something funny to happen. The acting and timing is so god awful bad ,particularly David Mitchell’s, l gave up before the end and switched channels.
how long before you realized you weren't watching a comedy but a crime drama with a dash of comedy (and a lot of subtile comedy that went straight over your head)?
@@channyh.221B To be fair I ended up watching the second episode of Ludwig last week and quite enjoyed it. It doesn't change the fact that the first episode was let down by a bunch of actors who appeared not to have rehearsed properly and thought they could just wing it. Maybe if they had, I might have recognised the subtle comedy that went straight over my head.

Interesting show but can you put it on a streaming service that doesn’t legally require I give money to the actual, literal fascists at Capita? Oh wait, nevermind, I’ll just illegally download it 👍
I had no idea how good a dramatic actor he is. New show to watch now.
No... he is still doing comedy!
Yes! Mostly it is David Mitchell being hilarious. But there are a few moments when you suddenly think, 'Wow, that was actually really well acted'.

Funny actors also make great dramatic actors. Look at Bryan Cranston in Malcom In The Middle vs Breaking Bad for example
the most David Mitchell role possible
Definitely
Just watched the first two episodes and it is brilliant. An original concept and funny and dramatic. Great cast too. Can't wait to see the rest.❤👍
Hmm... but is that repressed and posh or posh and repressed? 🤔

Great series, great cast, great storylines.

Watched the first one last night, the challenge now is to not watch them all, over the weekend.
Binged watched it on BBC I Player, brilliant.
Loved the first season, cant wait for season two!

But will they do a cross over with Jonathan Creek?
Is "Ludwig" a proper successor to "House", or "McDonald & Dodds"? It sure looks like it
Looks great ❤
Where can I see this in Canada? And is this why she wasn’t in Good omens 2?
Excited to see David in a series! It feels perfect for him already
The premise of this show is off, in that he can pose as his identical brother detective working with other detectives who cannot work out he doesn't know his job or any of them.
He mentions that in a later episode.
Not on BritBox or Prime Video
And why would it be on Prime?
I think it’s only on BBC iPlayer right now
