And when painting always try to go with egg shell or satin sheen. And always go satin or semigloss in bathrooms and kitchens. Having sheen reflects more light into a room and also it will make cleaning the walls from future kids easier to clean.

I'm on team black room, as long as you're using it for a chill space with a big cozy couch and/or workout space (I mean, add neon lights and that dark room would be a VIBE). You have sooo many other bright places to be during the day, so I think a dark area could be a cool contrast!

Painting that room all black would be a bold choice but consider how much light those walls are gonna absorb. Every ray of light is just gonna disappear. What if it was just the fireplace brick wall? Paint that all black with a lighter color for the walls. That could be cool. Ain't gonna lie though. I am so involved with every one of these house videos and can't wait till the next one. Keep up the great job!

Cathrin, Hey Girl....please think about how dark it would be if you painted Black walls down stairs....even with good lighting, black tends to absorb light....just my thoughts, I know you will choose what works in the space for you.
I was going to say the same! Maybe a medium gray if you want to go that way, but black will be toooo dark in a space without a ton of light

Oooohh. If you do the black walls in the basement...you might consider using Montana Marble spray paint. It just accents with fine strings of veins in contrasting colors of White or grey. That would look like high end marble slabs. IMO that would bring in a touch of elegance and visual interest.

It can be super busy and stressful to undertake this massive project cause there's a tone of work going in to your new home with design, detail, painting, renovation, quotes building materials and doing some of the hard work by yourself or with your dad, and having to make time for vlog day. I have to give you props Catherin 👏 you are a strong minded individual who's determined to get things done one way or another, love your dedication bringing your dream home into reality. Wall paper can be too busy and hard to get rid of if you don’t like it. And going with dark colors as a primary color can darken a room too much making it seem like a cave and also make it depressing. Going with light colors on the walls, you can always darken it with accents. Plus its harder to cover up when wanting to change the colors. Its your house but just a suggestion. Oh and on the exterior cant you pressure wash the existing paint off or google it on how to remove paint from bricks cause natural brick is always nice. Also the one room you had a brick fireplace go with lighter colors in that room cause the brick is already darkening the room. Plus surrounding the brick with lighter colors will draw your eyes to the fireplace when entering the room. Which most people like to look at that anyway. Lol!! Good luck in what ever you choose.
I love the style of your vlogs. Great nail color too which I thought was cool because you are picking out all your house paint colors. Congratulations on your new home. It will be so awesome when it is done and a big accomplishment and sense of pride. We built our house too and picking the granite island countertop was the hardest decision. We went with Bellini, it is gray and tan and has some fun, red colored swirls. I totally get all the whites. My husband even went with some different percentages of different white paints to get what he wanted. I am not suggesting that but just to say understand wanting to get it “right.” You have the right idea by doing big patches on the wall and just see what you like. I started a RUclips channel for fun about one month ago. Your work inspired me. Thanks! And all the best with the home renovation.

When you narrow down the paint choices see if the paint companies have little sample pots then put patches of the colours on the appropriate walls to see how they look in situ. Love seeing you do so much yourself. Currently prepping to paint my own house. We are as capable as we allow ourselves to be!

I looked at white paint samples painted around my house, inside and out, for a YEAR.😬 I went with SW Bohemian Lace from Lowes, but it's very similar to SW Creamy. It's not too yellow or pink in any light. Every space I've painted black I've used SW Black Magic and absolutely love it! It's very neutral and doesn't read blue, brown or green. Love the mood board with the wall paper!

We have a new construction in Bham area and our builder used Alabaster white and it’s beautiful white. It’s definitely hard to pick the right white.

Get custom cut glass and build the window jambs yourself instead of getting custom made windows. A full wall of windows should be 10-12k job if you use cut glass and fabricate your own windows. I hope you see this!

you can add multiple channels to one personal account I believe... don't quote me on that though!! definitely contract their customer service to see what they recommend. if you're using it for clients, or content you create for others, you definitely need something above the personal plan!
My name is Anthony Powell but everybody calls me Tony. I live in terrell Texas but i am from Floydada Texas its a small town where everybody knows everybody but thats the way I like it. I am 41 years old and have been in a wheelchair my whole life. I was born with Cerebral Palsy and I am classified as a spastic quadrapeligic. You may think my life is hard but God has blessed with me with a loving mom and a great little sister. And now I have 2 little nephew named Grayson Levi and 2 little niece I love being with my family. We are all pretty much die hard Dallas Cowboys fans, now college thats a different story. Its fun to hear us all argue about who is better (Texas Tech). In the end though its all about the family being together and having fun. Football is not all that I like though I love playing games online, if you ask my sister I am addicted. laugh out loud!! Some of my favortie Tv shows include Celebrity Big Brother and Big Brother. NCIS, CSI, Wrestling, and Dog The Bounty Hunter. I also love to go bowling with my family and friends. As you can see having these disabilities has never stopped me from being me or doing what I want to do and I am not about to let it stop me now. I am attending Pheonix to get my degree in Criminal Justice because it is something that has always intrested me and I would love to be able to help other people out. I wouldn't be the person I am today if it wasn't for my Papa. He tought me everything I know about helping others out he was always fair to everybody. He was truely the greatest man I ever knew.
