- Written while a human right march was passing Simon's
New York City apartment, this piece features the
Major 7th harmony throughout.
With a steady even pulse in the 2nd guitar part,
guitar 1 can listen to the eighth notes for rhythmic
accuracy. As the melody shifts up the first string in
guitar 1 be sure to maintain a good left-hand position.
Guitar 2 can shape colors and dynamics based
on the melody in guitar 1 and also bring out any
colorful harmonies.
This video is performed by Dave Belcher and Nicoletta Todesco and recorded at Yale University by Matthew LeFevre and Benjamin Schwartz.
The piece is part of the Grade 2 material of the Classical Guitar Corner Academy Curriculum. Learn more about Classical Guitar Corner Academy here: www.classicalg...
