- Rooting for the underdog is, basically, in our DNA. We want to see triumphs against impossible odds. We want to be shocked by improbable outcomes. Luckily, Valorant has given us plenty of incredible match-ups to scratch that particular itch.
Here are the most unexpected comebacks in Valorant History.

FaZe when they took the sails out of 100T this Stage 2 LCQ was one that hurt every Thieves fan, yet that ended up being the catalyst for them winning the LCQ.
This is true as a Thieves fan. 100T vs FaZe has been the most entertaining matchup in NA Valorant. I remember 100 Thieves coming back from 2 3-9 deficits in Challengers Stage 2 Playoffs against FaZe.
Absolutely mann... Revenge is always Sweet.
Classic napoleonic tactic from 100T... avoid the stronghold, avoid the cNed

It's funny how we don't consider a 9-3 win even a comeback anymore
The curse gives -75% luck
tbh 6 rounds isn’t a huge difference, given how attacked or defender based some maps or compositions can be it’s not too uncommon
Its like playing a basketball with a lead with a lot of time left. Being down in a huge margin in halftime doesn't mean you already lose. You just need to make some adjustment. But if your opponent only needs 1 shot with a huge gap with almost no time left that's what called COMEBACK.
I mean 9-3 starts are just wayyyyy too common in normal games lol
Yeah. Unfortunately that's confirmation bias in action. Plenty of 9 - 3's where the team taking the lead eventually won has occured but the miniscule, very small percentage of those games where leads were blown get magnified and is talked about so much.
That kill on cNed with 1 knife left with Nitro was the exactly the opening they needed!!!
Kiki
Gambit vs Vikings 5-12 comeback was legendary. They won 9 rounds in a row to clinch a victory and avoided the lower bracket. After that game whenever the casters see Gambit on the backfoot none dare to say that the team is out of the contention for they would say "But this is Gambit we're talking about"
Man i wish they qualified for Champions
100T vs Gambit was even better, 10 rounds in a row after being down 11-3
@@georgemerkel7096 the amount of rounds played may be more but the Gambit vs Vikings to me was more high stakes since Vikings just need to win the round they're playing to win the series? Gambit just went jelly after round 11 but they have 1 more to win before the decider. While Vikings had 7 chance to win and they lost.
I know this is not the 'most unexpected' comeback but ZETA vs NiP match on fracture during masters 1 is one of my favorite. They were down 8-12 but Laz (ZETA's igl) keep on chanting 'we can do this' and they managed to push it into OT and won 14-12. Almost no one expected ZETA to even make it to the playoffs but they managed to push through and secured top 3 at the end.
masters 1* northemption was in masters 2
@@ixhobi ah sorry i forgot
100T vs Gambit still one of the greatest
how has 100t never lost to emea team wtf
I remember something about how the old 100T team used to enjoy watching EU teams, and I’m guessing they knew a lot about EU strats
PRX vs FPX was the greatest match ngl considering both team's rosters are the best of the entire world
All players are S+ tier atm
@@justsomeguythatwantssometh9986 no way ANGE1 is a s tier bruv
@@urekrayino6773 nah he S tier after that playoff run. He only be doin some dmb sht on groupstage
Should have put ZETA vs NIP
They were down 8-12 at an elimination match, japan that was known as the worst region almost got 13-0 by drx earlier and everyone want to remove jp from direct slot to champions made a comeback and then had a cinderella run on masters 1
That game was so Iconic in japan that everytime team down 8-12 they called it 'ZETA challenge'
japan the worst ? zeta got 3rd place. paper rex got 4th place at Reykjavik then 2nd place in copenhagen. at least japan is better than korea
@@user-uj7br6jm4k read
Still have chills remembering their comeback against NIP
It's a nice touch saying "Rooting for the underdogs is basically in our DNA" while wearing a Leicester City Jersey. Memories of 2015-16 season still remain strong :)
>rooting for the underdogs is in our dna
>Leicester city shirt
😉😉
For me the best comeback has to be vitality winning against Tenstar while starting 2-11 and then on the next series they played, they won again against fut while starting 1-11 in VLR Finals
GAMBIT'S 10-4 comeback at champions against KRU to send them to the finals will forever be the greatest.
Gambit's comeback against Team Vikings during the Valorant Champions group stage while being 12-5 down on map 3 Icebox
@@red.911 yesss and TV did not even make it out after that
2:10 with one blade left, that kill is the one moment I will always remember about that comeback, that shot was spark that started the whole thing
Love the Foxes shirt as we talk about underdogs and crazy odds. Possibly one of the best moments in sporting history, eSports or Physical sports
This channel never fails to disappoint when it comes to lists. Not only are half of these NOT comebacks, they didnt even put the actual unexpected comebacks like Gambit's 4 - 10 comeback against KRU or 5 - 12 against VKS or a lot of insane comebacks in the asian scene.
you right chief
MANN, I miss that 100T Squad... Such a dominate team. And a lot of times made impossible, possible, in so many ways.
The old 100T team was actually the most insane clutch team in NA, somehow they are always down a significant amount and still win the game
This channel is funny. How is Acend beating Gambit “one of the most unexpected comebacks” when the series was close throughout? They could’ve gone with Gambit vs Optic at Masters Berlin which was an entire series of comebacks from Gambit, or Nuturn vs V1, or Gambit vs KRU from Champions. They also clearly only watch EMEA and NA since there have been way bigger comebacks in APAC and Korea. I’m pretty sure they also took 2-3 of these picks (XSET vs NRG, FNC vs Liquid) from a Dexerto video from a year ago. Damn, the quality of this channel has fallen off so hard.
True man. Even some old matches like TSM vs gen.g which was considered to be one of the longest game in valorant was a comeback of TSM from 2-10 to 26-24 I think so not sure of the score. Even sentinels made a comeback. This Chanel only puts what they like and not the viewers.
They haven't even done a video on FPX winning Copenhagen LMAO. This channel is so NA-focused that they put a group stage match between a Masters winner and a team that hasn't made a LAN this year over stuff like Gambit's 10-4 comeback vs KRU, KRU's 8-4 comebacks vs SEN, or X10's 9-3 comeback to knock out OpTic... and I'm only listing better examples from ONE tournament.
Edit to add that the OpTic vs Cloud9 groups stage game they put on this list was the first game that Cloud9 ever played with curry after they traded xeta AND their coach mid-split, if you were still impressed by OpTic's 1-0 comeback in light of all this then honestly I don't think you've been giving any attention to the Reykjavijk winners.
@@pdal1234 agreed 👍👍. Out of all the clips they had posted for valorant until today, 90% clips involved 100T. I accept that 100T is a good roster but isn't there any other team that clutched or made a legendary comeback in a whole year of valorant masters??
They need to hire better writers or researchers, because most of their valorant content focuses on NA and EMEA. If we're talking about comebacks, there was one APAC game changers match where the other team came back from a 1-11 deficit.
That man kissing his teammates ear on stage 😂
A video about underdogs in a leicester city jersey, love that!
Big up for the Leicester shirt, COYF 🦊
Didn't know "Valorant history" only pertains to NA and EMEA.
Nice video.
Because every other region sucked up until recently
he talks about underdogs in a leicester trikot, what a legend
wow yeah crazy for a game with such a rich history
Time to update this video with all LOUD comebacks
now the fnatic vs loud one
PRX vs Bleed. PRX only got 1 point in the first half while Bleed 11, but in the second half they turned up the table 13-11
SERIOUSLY? Which tournament?
@@eclipse-vw9ye o it's 10-2 first half actually. Just search prx vs bleed comeback
ACEND vs 100T oh man what a comeback it was nailbiting, had me at edge of my seat, I'll miss that old 100 T
That 100t Acend game fkn crazy
I wish SEN cameback this LCQ and happened to be in the video, they were so close and there were so many epic clutch moments.
"Rooting for the underdog is basically in our dna" right before one of the victories of KRÜ at Champions 2021, I'm from Chile and that put a big smile on my face. Hopefully this year Leviatán will also have something to say.
I love how the video is about underdogs and you're wearing a Leicester City shirt
How are you not going to include any of ZETA divisions games from Masters 1 this year lmao???
leviatan beating kru on ascent right after being down 1-11 at the finals of stage 1 playoffs this year was unbelivable even though they didn't end up winning the whole match
Number 1: the olofboost
love the leicester kit
I can never forget the Breeze map of 100T vs Ace for the rest of my life
What about the 100t vs gambit 3-11 comeback?
its wild how different the thieves roster is now
the Liquid v Fnatic seems like a troll game tbh, triple duelist on split seems like a throw
0:07 ayoooo
Northeption vs prx icebox was huge. Apac lcq had big moments
You mean drx?
@@king_thanos_2116 no, prx is right
@@dex5485 when did PRX face NTH?
Akrew's 1-12 comeback against NRG should've been there
TL had massive comeback from 6-12 to 12-12 in Emea Lcq 2022 againt M3c.Match ended with a win for M3c 18-16. But that was massive comeback from TL
Same as last year when Liquid fought the former Gambit roster for a spot in Masters 3. Sad to say that Liquid also lost that one.
But liquid did win LCQ last year as well 😊
@@kylelu8106 Yess.. Hope so Liquid performs good in champions... Just want to see scream win a major
@@valotone3279 I'll definitely be cheering for them in champs. Been cheering for Liquid's valorant roster for a while. Some of their games last till 4am my time. One time it was until 7am 😅
@@kylelu8106 my time was from 7pm to 11.30pm...... but for NA my time was 2am to 7am

Fnatic vs LOUD VCT LOCK//IN 2023 Grand Finals
acend vs 100T on breeze
- The 1-11 comeback of Version 1 against Rise Gaming?
- The 1-12 comback of AKREW against NRG?
Love the Shirt! 🦊
Should have included recent match between m3c abd liquid
100t vs gambit masters berlin
didn't know danny was a leicester fan
TSM vs GEN G with all the crazy overtimes on split after being down 10-3
PRX vs Bleed, 2-10 comeback for a Reykjavik slot in Stage 1
"valorant history" KEKW
Still sucks that C9 didnt make champs but still love em
Where was any of the VIT games this VRL?
No Gambit Vikings in Champs? Hell nah
Make a vid on derrek, the clutch god of valorant.. Xyp9x vibes
Didn't include PRX vs bleed match on icebox? What a shame. PRX make a comeback after got stomped 10-2 in first half And in second half bleed almost win a map with 12-5, but then PRX make a comeback after that.
Well.. leicester city run as PL champion was a good story tho
How could you not include Gambit vs Vikings match in Champions. Gambit were down 5-12 and won 14-12 on Icebox.
nice video but why foxes jersey xddddd you should wear the gunners m8
"Valorant History"
Lol
they should have put Team liquid vs G2 in emea lcq 2022 that match liquid won really suprisingly
i miss that 100T team man
It's sad but this new roster looks promising. Especially after this LCQ
Theres already new 100t which is qualified for Champions man! But Old og roster had tons of Experience surely. Hiko, Nitro, Steel
@@R1ckyJ oh yeah definitely they look really strong right now but i wish the old 100t couldve made it work :(
@@tdyrc yeah man i loved those old cs guys some of my favorite pros of all time
0:06 …..
Miss that 100t roster
Recently Happened in India also on 14 of August.
Enigma Vs Velocity in finals at Bengaluru Lan.
In One Round Engima Started very bad, how much well at one moment they were 0-9 vs velocity and then the comeback happened, Enigma won the match by 14-12 and later on won the final.
Wassup with these old comeback video's ? there are so many better one's now
y'all forgot G2's comeback in siege
are you being serious?
Ain’t no way you just said that ascend was the underdog at Berlin…. 100t has been consistently ranked as one of the worst NA teams before Sean gares joined as the head coach. They literally only made it to Berlin in the first place through luck.
Acend were definitely rated higher than 100T during Berlin but in 2021 100T were constantly a top 3 NA team lmao, no one was surprised about them making it then and it definitely wasn't by luck
2022 they fell off though before they got Sean Gares
LOL WHAT?? 100T with Nitr0, Asuna, Steel, Ethan and Hiko was a dominate team.. Top 3 no question. You're out of your mind calling them lucky to make it thru berlin. Pure ignorance.
@@risky7672 sure bro, that’s why they fucking disbanded right after rofl. Ethan and asuna were the fucking pillars of that team. Everyone else on that roster was pure garbage
team liquid vs m3c in icebox come back from 12-6
Classic 9-3 curse
rip split
Where are the actual iconic comebacks? The only games in here I remember are the 100t and acend games - surely there are more memorable comebacks (100t v gambit???)
I love 100T
Alternate title: Most Unexpected Chokes in Valorant History
Suprised there was no FPX Masters run. They shouldnt have beaten Fnatic, EMEA Champions. They shouldnt have beaten Optic, World Champions. They shouldnt have beaten PRX. They had the double ban AND also beat Optic.
Prx vs G2 where ?
good video
I always wonder how people become Manchester City fans? The club has no history 💀
Welp 👍💀🗿🥶
W/o franchising, no team can repeat winning international LAN. W/ franchising, that is going to change. Which is bad for Valorant eSports scene.
L take
Nitr0
im hungry :/
the meme team wins again
Just dropped by here to say this: Pls do "What happened to The Guard?" Simply because they're so dominant that their spot for the championship were already in the bag, instead they had to fight through the LCQ
Tryna grow on yt would love tips
Does valorant have history?
‘History’ xD
Valorant "history"
SEN x KRÜ?
Fiiiiiirst siuuuuu love u guys 😘😘❤️
Liz I love you lmao XD🤣🥰
Valorant will be such a dead game after source 2 lmao
1st
Naw
Dead
First
Nope
Watching this just made me realize how chamber really made pro play a lot less exciting. When Jett was the OPer you had to actually think about your positioning, chamber can be in any random corner with an op get one and TP across the map in a instant
Guys why you favour valorant over apex
