Ok ..I was.a long distance runner for years and did not get my period until I was 35. I thought I ruined my fertility.. Boy was I wrong. At age 48 I was shocked to find myself 6 months pregnant!!! My pregnancy was super easy and healthy same with baby. I went on to get pregnant 2 more times and all were easy healthy too!!! I'm 55 and instead of worrying about menopause I'm worried about getting pregnant again!!! This freaks me out..cause I always have heard about how women fertility drops after age 40!!!
If you could please make a video about your situation (health condition, what you eat, your habits, etc) that would be really helpful and appreciated 🙏🏽

@NatalieCrawfordMD I have a weird question. I have PCOS and 45 years old. Can the fertility doctor harvest the eggs in these follicles for an IVF procedure? 😢
General doctors are terrible with supplements. I discussed with them the supplements I was interested in, and they shrugged them all off but said go for it if I wanted with no clear instructions. After a few months of introducing acupuncture, CoQ10 & Myo-inositol/D-chiro Inositol I have begun ovulating whereas I wasn't before. My progesterone levels drastically increased during the luteal phase and I had the egg white consistency. I highly suggest listening to Andrew Huberman Lab podcast episode 'How to optimize fertility in makes & females'. That's where I was introduced to these supplements & their research. Then I did weeks of my own reading and came to the conclusion CoQ10, Inositol & acupuncture were worth the investment. I already took a vegan fish oil supplement, which was also treated as unimportant by my docs.
So true! Supplements are very important but the family doctors do not prescribe saying, it's ok not needed . Just take folic acid. I also did my own research and got coq10 and vegan Omega 3 after a lot of research. Hoping for the best but I'm still unable to get this why do doctors behave this way and not bother about the need for supplements.
This is very comforting in conjunction with your thyroid video as it all just echos exactly what my hollistic Nurse has roadmapped for me. I have been trying for 5 years with my husband and have even done some fertility treatments, and just now I was diagnosed with celiac and hypothyroidism. I am hoping all of this works for me.
my AMH is super low, at less than 0.5 ng/ml but I'm only 30 years old :( I never expected to have to go through IVF at such a young age, I'm definitely going to use your tips so that hopefully I will be able to get at least a few good embryos in a few cycles.
We did a retrieval and our embryo didn’t make it. The office called me for a follow up and said my egg quality was “fair/poor”. Now I know that they never could’ve tested them and they must came to that conclusion for some other reason. I have been thinking they tested them somehow. Thank you for the info!
Hi, not sure if you will see this. I'm sorry your embryo didn't make it. Just to explain - they absolutely can't test the egg, but then they can see how it does after fertilization as an embryo. If embryo isn't a good one then they can know that the egg wasn't good - they could test for chromosomal abnormalities in embryo (it has multiple cells unlike egg so one can be taken). It is true that it is also possible it was a poor sperm but that is easier to see (they look funny often or don't swim well). The book it starts with the egg might be helpful to read. Wishing you luck in your journey ❤

@@NatalieCrawfordMD I am only about halfway through it myself, but yes that is true so far. I feel that there needs to be more talk about this, like what you are doing in this video. I am pretty sure most people are just told they are old and there is nothing they can do about it, which only makes you feel helpless and hopeless. I have been blessed with a few children, but now that I am getting older and don't feel "done" I like to learn more about fertility at an AMA. I have learned so much that I never knew, it just isn't talked about. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us!
Thank u, wish I would’ve found these videos sooner. We just got done our 3rd miscarriage. I have pcos n endometriosis it took 4 yrs to have my daughter and then the miscarriages started. Wish they’d tell us this crap sooner as someone who appears healthy n active I had no idea I’d have any of these probs.
Thank you for your constant knowledgeable and positive approach to infertility and helping us take charge of our diagnosis. I appreciate you taking your time to help educate the masses. :)
I’m so angry at myself. My AMH is very low, I’m 40 and I wish life had given my husband sooner. We are struggling with infertility now. I wish I would’ve done egg freezing and I wish someone would’ve educated me about getting pregnant at a younger age. Unfortunately I didn’t have relationships as I got older so now this is what I have to deal with😢
I was in your shoes at 40 also. My AMH was ok but egg quality was not. I was also very angry at myself and mad at the lack of real education about women’s fertility I had. IVF worked for me. I’m 42 and pregnant with a healthy embryo. Though still nervous and hope it goes well. Took the clinics recommended his/hers vitamins every day for months. Did acupuncture. But if all those things don’t work for you, you can still be a mom through donor eggs. You get to see photos and choose the donor. This knowledge helped give me peace of mind as we went through this journey. I hope it helps you also.
I’m pushing 40 and grew up with BPA, phthalates, etc before we knew they were bad. Hearing that they can affect egg quality is just like “well, I guess I’m screwed then.” Does it really matter if we remove those from our environment (to the extent possible) at this stage? Seems like after so many years of exposure the damage is already done.
I would like your opinion on this as well. Is 3 months of eating right and exposure avoidance really going to change anything? Are these more applicable to college-aged women looking to get pregnant in the future?
The egg isn't fully developed until it goes through the 3 month development process - which is why the COq10 for 3 months can make a big difference. So not having those chemicals present in blood whilst your eggs develop can still make a difference :-) I guess the only chemicals it might not apply to is the "forever" chemicals like Teflon because they stay in blood and ajd body much longer - but still why risk adding more?
It all makes sens. I love your holistic approach to fertility, while the majority of others doctors are just doing statistics and not taking into consideration woman’s overall health condition, her habits and her state of mind.
Please do a video on egg quality and PCOS! I have had recurrent miscarriage due to my eggs not maturing. Would love to hear how to help this naturally.
What are the daily recommended doses of supplements for pcos like myo-inositol? Any thoughts on differences between wholesome story brand vs theralogix for their my-inositol d-chiro blend?
Hi Doc! Thanks for info. Just a question. I’m taking omega capsule nlw, should I take coQ10 separately or I need to stop the Omega since I’ll take the coQ10? Thank you
Hi Natalie! I recently was diagnosed with endometriosis and have a 3 cm endometrioma. I wanted to get your opinion on surgery. I believe in one of your videos talking about endometriosis that removing the cyst could decrease my ovarian reserve? Is that true?
I have a question about Coq10. In your video you talked about the dosage. Did you mean 200 mg total per day. Or 200 mg 3 times a day for a total of 600mg per day? Thanks so much! :)
Thank you frontje great video. Wish you could speak a little slower or write down in the description the supplements you suggested, because either was impossible for me to understand and write tmdown most of them
You are the best dr natalie!!! :) thank you for creating this content it has helped me through my early losses. Can DHEA 3 times a day improve AMH slightly?
I had never heard eggs explained so well! Thank you! If I begin taking supplements now, will it immediately begin to have some measure of impact on my eggs, or is it only after 90 days that what I do today will begin to show benefit?
Hi Doctor Crawford, can you comment on oat milk? Is this more inflammatory than full fat dairy? I felt bloated from real dairy and tried switching to oat milk for my coffee. I feel better but wonder about its impact on fertility . Thanks!
You’re the best. I am 49 and just found you on my smart TV. I am going to watch all of your videos starting tonight. I had to grab my phone and leave a comment to say ‘thank you’ I have watched a few videos & you give me hope. Hi, thank you for your incredible videos, they have been extremely helpful. I am also wondering if you could do a review of Pregnance pre-conception vitamin tablets? I take the Pregnacare Pre-conception Max that comes with Omega-3. I'm based in the UK and they seem to be the best ones available here, however, they do not contain the amounts of Vitamin D and COQ10 you have mentioned in the video. For example, they contain Vit D 25 micrograms and COQ10 50 mg (taken once a day). I am happy to get some more vitamins separately but would love a rundown on the essential vitamins, and I'm guessing they are the ones in the Pregnacare tablets. Thank you so much again
Im taking all the prenatal, coq10, omegq, folic acid ect. Since my miscarriage 5 months ago i have been ttc and nothing. This month is my 6th month, im ovulating no issues as im tracking with strips, same with my normal cycles, doing everything right during my fertility window. I use to get pregnant within the month, since the miscarriage i swear must have messed up my tubes.
If my mom and grandmothers went into menopause late, does that mean genetically, there is a higher chance I have a larger ovarian reserve? I will be 39 in February, never had a child, but have wondered if I ever will be a mom. I am not trying, more curious.
Hi Doc, I'm taking ubiquinol form of CoQ10 supplement. Do I still need to take a higher dose? or Stick with 100-200mg per day since it is said to have higher bioavailability?

I am pretty sure most people are just told they are old and there is nothing they can do about it, which only makes you feel helpless and hopeless. I have been blessed with a few children, but now that I am getting older and don't feel "done" I like to learn more about fertility at an AMA. I have learned so much that I never knew, it just isn't talked about. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us!
YES! Great book!
Thank you for this video. How can one improve ovarian reserve naturally?

Thank you for your constant knowledgeable and positive approach to infertility and helping us take charge of our diagnosis. I appreciate you taking your time to help educate the masses. :)
This means so much! Thank you!
@@NatalieCrawfordMD you’re pretty 🤩🎉❤️🎉
Im 37. I want to start trying in 3 months!
Me too
I’m so angry at myself.
You're not alone, I'm 43 now, miscarried last year in my 3rd trimester.
The body heals fast! So eating right, take Vitamines and removing the toxins will have a positive influence for your health.
Our body is an amazing thing. And we cannot predict it. It will do what it will do for us always.
I have been taking the 600IU of CoQ10. Should it be taken throughout the day at three separate times or is it better to take all at once?
Thank you for this video! You said the body is not meant to process too much animal protein. What is your opinion on xenoestrogens and plant proteins?
Is it ok to avoid grains in general?
Thank you so much for this video and your channel 🙏🏼 I am currently taking Ubiquinol instead of CoQ10. Do you think this is ok as well?
ubiquinol is the active (reduced) form of Q10 (ubiquinon), so its fine!
It all makes sens. I love your holistic approach to fertility, while the majority of others doctors are just doing statistics and not taking into consideration woman’s overall health condition, her habits and her state of mind.
What do you recommend for low responders of IVF medications?
Please do a video on egg quality and PCOS! I have had recurrent miscarriage due to my eggs not maturing. Would love to hear how to help this naturally.
Me too
😭😭😭me too😔. I’m now even scared of falling pregnant. The trauma of going through a miscarriage is horrible😔 & it also affected my husband mentally.
Oh my god. I am so sorry please take heart.
What are the daily recommended doses of supplements for pcos like myo-inositol? Any thoughts on differences between wholesome story brand vs theralogix for their my-inositol d-chiro blend?
My doctor completely dismisses any supplement-related questions. It is frustrating to be honest.

Hi Doc! Thanks for info. Just a question. I’m taking omega capsule nlw, should I take coQ10 separately or I need to stop the Omega since I’ll take the coQ10? Thank you
keep taking omega 3, that are separate substances
Thank you for this information! I would totally watch if you made a video about supplement brands that are the cleanest to take.
Hi Natalie!
I recently was diagnosed with endometriosis and have a 3 cm endometrioma. I wanted to get your opinion on surgery. I believe in one of your videos talking about endometriosis that removing the cyst could decrease my ovarian reserve? Is that true?
Had histerascopy and doctor say every procidure with uterus decres egg qantity
Thank you seeing your channel today. Happily subscribing. Indeed Worthwhile.
Welcome!!
I have a question about Coq10. In your video you talked about the dosage. Did you mean 200 mg total per day. Or 200 mg 3 times a day for a total of 600mg per day? Thanks so much! :)
I am confused too. Just from words, it should be 200 mg a day but it seems that maybe Dr. correct a day with three times a day?
@@narudonr3820 I'm glad it's not just me! 😅 I think you are probably correct based on some other things I've looked at. Thanks so much!
@@laurawalters8833 Yay, same here too 😆. So, other sources are 600 mg/day right?
In a comment she talks about 600 mg a day
Thank you frontje great video.
I like it if low ovarian reserve and thin - but not universally for everyone
@@NatalieCrawfordMD Muchas mujeres no entienden la diferencia entre esterilidad y infertilidad.
How often should we take multivitamins?
Does second hand smoke also have an effect on egg quality?
That’s for sure!!!! I’m really trying hard NOT to be around smokers.
Can you do a video about anovulatory cycles?
So grateful for this so well explained, clear information. Thank you 🙏🏻 ❤
I had never heard eggs explained so well! Thank you! If I begin taking supplements now, will it immediately begin to have some measure of impact on my eggs, or is it only after 90 days that what I do today will begin to show benefit?
What prenatal or vitamins do you recommend to your patients?
She is saying the truth.. i improved my AMH abnormal to normal range…
How did you do that please

Hi Doctor Crawford, can you comment on oat milk? Is this more inflammatory than full fat dairy? I felt bloated from real dairy and tried switching to oat milk for my coffee. I feel better but wonder about its impact on fertility . Thanks!
can rosacea have a negative impact on egg quality? It seems to me to be a constant inflamnation on my face
You’re the best. I am 49 and just found you on my smart TV. I am going to watch all of your videos starting tonight. I had to grab my phone and leave a comment to say ‘thank you’ I have watched a few videos & you give me hope. My youngest was born in 2012, so my chances are low but your telling me there’s a chance & that’s all I need to hear. If I could go back in time, I would have started sooner.
I’m 34 next week, my youngest was born in 2011! (No baby since) About to start this journey as well. Best of luck to you ❤ my mom had me at 42 and despite all the warnings and scares, I was a healthy happy baby 😊

I take the same pregnacare vitamins, but take a separate vit d and coq10 supplements in addition to it
Any opinions on Throne Omega 3 with CoQu 10?
Can you do a video on low egg reserve and IVF treatment success.
Hi Natalie! This is all very helpful! In Canada, DHEA is banned, would you please shsre if there a substitute?
What about buying it online from a foreign pharmacy? I’m in Canada and was wondering why it wasn’t on Amazon… now I know!
Very complete and informative video thanks Dr❤
Was that 200mg of coq10 3x/day or 200mg total? Thanks so much for these videos!
Can we take the supplements while on stims?
Is it ok to use the microwave without plastic ?
Im taking all the prenatal, coq10, omegq, folic acid ect. Since my miscarriage 5 months ago i have been ttc and nothing. This month is my 6th month, im ovulating no issues as im tracking with strips, same with my normal cycles, doing everything right during my fertility window. I use to get pregnant within the month, since the miscarriage i swear must have messed up my tubes.
So informative.Thank you.
Such a great video!! Thank you 🥰
Thankyou Doctor. When you say to avoid Toxins, do you also mean Gmos and Pesticides?
What do you think about red light therapy? Thanks. ❤🙏🏻
Thank you… can you do a video on MTHFR and how it affects fertility and what to do about it
Can you please discuss NAD iv therapy to help with egg quality?
If my mom and grandmothers went into menopause late, does that mean genetically, there is a higher chance I have a larger ovarian reserve? I will be 39 in February, never had a child, but have wondered if I ever will be a mom. I am not trying, more curious.
You’re the best on RUclips!
Thank you!!
Besides vitamin E and C for endometriosis..what other supplement did she say? I kept rewinding to hear but cant make it out...
Hi Doc, I'm taking ubiquinol form of CoQ10 supplement. Do I still need to take a higher dose? or Stick with 100-200mg per day since it is said to have higher bioavailability?
She says "200 mg per day. 3x/day"...I was confused to if that means a total of 200 or 600 mg?🤔
@@TheMskrkI think she meant 200 mg dose taken 3 times a day to equal 600 mg. I believe they split it into different doses as the body can only absorb so much at once
Really enjoyed watching, highly informative 👍 thanks for sharing 👌❤

Is there any evidence to support that endometriosis can affect egg quality?
What about lactose free creamer and artificial sweeteners?
Hello, I am 37 & I'm planning to start a 2nd round of egg freezing. I've been working on increasing egg quality for months now. Unfortunately I have COVID right now and am worried it will affect my egg quality. From what I've read it's best to wait for egg retrieval 3 months after a COVID infection -- would you suggest waiting?
