If I was still on Windows this would be pretty nifty, so liked it. As I'm on Linux all of this stuff isn't new to me or not required. Like and comment for the algorithm, I think it's very useful for windows folks. For Linux I use Ventoy now, so easy to boot many different ISOs without having to write to the stick all the time. Just copy ISO files over to the USB stick and boot them with a menu.
Even if I was still forced to use Windows for work, now I would just run it in Boxes within Linux. No more fussier and safer than running it native (which I would never do again!) I'm now down to opening it for about an hour a week for 1 specific app - begrudgingly.
@@RobertoJorgeTech if you can do a follow up video that would be great! I’ve tried doing something similar years ago, but one pc had nvidia, the other had AMD….it didn’t boot on the nvidia one
@RAM_845to my knowledge removing copilot and recall with Rufus isn't an option. I could be wrong, could you elaberate more on what you mean by remove copilot and recall using Rufus? Id5 be interested in that option. Doing a higher search I didn't find any info on doing this.
It's so complicated imho. And if I'm not mistaken, win on Ventoy is only winPE? Which I don't like because some apps won't work on Win PE. So I went for Ntlite (paid version), much easier but also detailed if one wish to. The paid version was able to extract all my existing drivers to inject in a new Win11 Pro which I also licensed for a few bucks. The use of NTlite is a blessing. And I don't need linux.
As regards to portability: the CPU type is the important factor. If you create an external bootable Windows SSD, it will work ok on the first machine that's booted using the drive. Then switch from an AMD CPU to an Intel CPU system, and it will continue to boot & work. However, if you then switch CPU type again, only the Intel system will continue to boot to desktop. The AMD CPU system will fail to boot. At least, that's been my experience. Note: there are USB 3.0-to-SATA adapter cables that allow using standard 2.5" SSD's for a portable Windows-to-Go. Less expensive than using an NVMe M.2 SSD.
Not in my experience. The SAME W10 boots fine on pretty much all the machines I have. Old, new Intel and AMD. Specific drivers can be missing, but most do get installed by windows update.
I tried Winto USB and it said the Windows media is corrupted. I downloaded new ISO's 3 times and still the same error message. I then tried on my other PC and downloaded and installed Winto USB on it and followed the instructions and even thos I used Diskpart to clean and format my portable 256gb SSD, WintoUSB got stuck on its own formatting with no estimate of progress bar showing. I waited 10 minutes and still it was stuck and wouldn't let me end the program so I had to shut down my PC. I then used Revo uninstaller to delete that POS WintoUSB program and cleaned all its left over registry files. Winto USB proved to be garbage for me.
Free version only does Windows Home. Many people have Windows Pro. I would not use any USB drive as they ALL are slow. Use a proper SSD with an enclosure. Not so fast! You can always install Windows 11 on ANY machine, BUT, Windows update will NOT WORK! Once you try, it would detect that you have an unsupported CPU, for example.
hows the speeds on the kingston travle drive for wintogo? Been looking for a good flash drive for that but for now i have spare m.2 in a enclosre. thanks
After download the apps, and try to make an Win11 install USB The Acronis Cyber protection stop a RANSOMWARE, and remove the Win.to.usb.exe in the bin directory. I stay with Rufus I don't get ransomware with it at least.
Weird that it detects as ransomware, but i believe that its not, its been around for quite some time and the feedback i have read before using is good so. But respect 🙌
Acronis is perhaps not the most accurate malware protection you can get. I used the virustotal website to check the file and every checker came up clean on it.
Foi? Estranho, eu consigo fazer o download. Mas já me aconteceu no passado e daqui a umas semanas quando muda o ip dinamico passa tal como aconteceu comigo 🙌
Everybody is sincerely sick of Windows, but is stuck with it anyway because there's no walkaround the Linux terminal, no matter how supposedly user-friendly the distro claims, and how ridiculously simple the problem, for example a faulty app update. There's no lack of even IT experts who don't bother themselves with learning the Linux terminal. I think we're sooner gonna see an Android x86 alternative to Windows (and you can check for yourself even Windows 11 can be run from Android now), than all those genius Linux distro developers create at least a troubleshooting GUI, not even daring to fathom the sin of making their beloved terminal similarly necessary for the average PC user, as the Windows terminal is. Terminals are for the "car mechanics", when your average Jessica doesn't even know how to open the hood of her Honda. Microsoft understood that, Apple understood that, Google understood that, making Android, but if these geniuses haven't understood it for so, so long now, most likely they never will. It's their Linux "thing". Normal people gotta wait for a polished up enough version of Android x86, and it's really gonna be a huge market, cause Microsoft is doing absolutely everything to motivate people into ditching Windows, especially recently.
Hehe!! maybe, still need to test out the windows portable feature 🙌 but i belive i will still use Rufus, balena, ventoy and medicat which are my favorites 👍
All Hasleo software has some sort of catch with it, usually monitoring software which is flagged by AV, it also doesn't all work correctly. Definitely NOT a good replacement for the already excellent Rufus. I get you want to make a buck but before taking their money at least do your due diligence and properly test/inspect the software you are shamelessly promoting and do some research on the actual company and products. But like most youtubers you just cash the check and do the vid on a virtual machine then delete it so you have no idea how much some of this stuff can F up your computer (and in some cases brick it entirely).
Hi, thanks for the feedback 🙌 just one correction on your statement, i am not sponsored by Hasleo / windtousb nor i know anyone at that firm, the video has cdkeysales.com affiliation and that is it. DETAILS, DETAILS! I have been using their software for a year and have NOT seen any flagged files or behaviors by ESET, which has never let me down. Sustain you claim and do teach us the SPECIFIC details, proof and other "expert" opinions!
Software BRICKING your computer, you did say!? Again, you are going to need PROOF for your ignorant claims! Doing a BIOS/UEFI update CAN brick a device. It has never happened to me. I have updated at least a few hundreds of PCs, some of them, multiple times, and most vendors do have recovery steps. But going to your outlandish claim: Do tell us the SPECIFICS of at least ONE case where REGULAR SOFTWARE (NOT low level) did brick a PC "forever"!
Wrong again. This software is better than Rufus as you can convert your current setup to portable and they just added being able to convert from a backup as well. This is absolutely game changing for the smarter people that can get 100% of your previous setup working in 1 hour or less! Now I really want to know your current setup, software, backups in your ignorant/superstitious world...
@@RobertoJorgeTech Well you probably need to spend a little more time testing. I've tried several of this companies programs and had various issues with them all. Overall this companies products are unreliable and several were flagged by my security software, among many issues I can't even remember anymore as it was a few months ago I tried that stuff out. For example their backup software worked once.... exactly once. After that it either crashed or "encouraged" me to upgrade to the paid version. That's just one example, I don't care to test their software again to get a comprehensive list of issues.

Does the portable Windows work on any PC with Uefi or are there issues if I did the installation on a AMD PC and the plug the drive in a Nvidia PC?
