This pack is great for the price considering it comes with bms and protection case. Get d xt60 strip, cut the wire on from the plug on d bsm side and add xt60, do the same on the charge side.
Those are from Fitrider scooters from Fitcoo. My former employer had them for their scooter fleet. I have a massive pile of those batteries at home. Looking forward to seeing what projects Jehu can design for them with/without the case which makes it a modular setup if done right
Fitcoo had higher end battery packs which had LG cells IIRC
@@PennIsMightier1 Would you be willing to part with two or three of those by chance? They would be great for a school project I had in mind.
Are you trying to sell any of them?
Sorry I'm not trying to compete with Jehu. He has the shipping infrastructure setup. The only thing I have that he may interest for anyone wanting to build with the packs as is are keys for the packs so you could lock them
@@PennIsMightier1 how much
you are the most important RUclipsr in the world! for real! everyone gonna need one of these in the future! just see the Chinese mega cities and their ebikes and escolter dominance! love you and your work, my dear friend!
Haha last pic at end of video confirms those were my old employers batteries
Hey Jehu, would love to see you build a version of Festools mobile power pack with the exact same or better specs to see if you could make it cheaper.
10 of these and it will power a small 3000w motor kit for bike builds. And 5 in parallel u get 45ah at 72v pack once fully charged @84v. It's a not bad and just at $500.00 after Shipping estimate cost.
This is very informative. I was going to buy a battery pack and I was one of that how do I use it. I guess I have to open up that battery case of my eBay and install it. Looks kind of complicated.
the amps dont get doubled when you hook 2 batterys in series
About a year ago, i got few of these batteries for free and who gave those to me claimed that they are dead and dont even take charge, i open one and check voltages and seems pack was ok and charged, then i just unplug balancer wires and plug them back and battery pack worked again.
I open all other battery packs and was same issue with BMS.
Cells was SW18650-26HPA
What is the length of the pack?
Heeft Cowboy ook zoiets voor de CT4?

Really need to see what's inside when it comes to battery packs from lesser known sources/brands. Build quality is usually more important than cell brand
40 cells X 3.6 X 2.2 = 317 wHr per pack. (Capable of outputting around 640 wHrs for half the time) So roughly $150 per kwHr
Yes, I was thinking when I did seen a screenshot of the video what it's a 720wHr pack for a 50$ )))
The cells are BAK H18650CIL
40 cells connected in 10s (not 40s), 4p, 2.4A/Cell. Now do the math again.
@@sam_wyt9879 Good idea! Let's do the math again. Power = I X E. 1 cell has approx 2.2 (amps) X 3.6 (volts) = 8 wHrs of energy. 8 X 40 cells = 320 watt hours for the pack. Therefore, you can draw 320 watts for an hour. If you draw 720 watts, your pack will only last 1/2 hour.
@@hippie-io7225 according to your math YES its around $150/kwHr. But it's 2.4ah/cell and the 36v is minimum charged (50%) capacity.
Also it doesn't matter how long it last, that will depend on the load.
Not bad for putting 5 in parallel and then join 2 of these into series and get 72 v and have 3600w for driving a scooter
Charging port looks like a Lenovo charger. They have a similar square connector.
But Lenovo's are 19V, IIRC.
@@jameswyatt1304 Thank you, Capitan obvious. Nobody was been talking about using a charger from a laptop, just a port.
@@pashko90 Thank you for the promotion from Private Opinion! Doing my Obvious duties, I'll point out that they actually said "Charging port looks like a Lenovo charger", but it just looks like a Lenovo charging port, not a charger. PPPppphhhhtttt!
My point was: If anyone's thinking about trying a Lenovo charger, it's likely not a good plan. How about a part number of reference for the connector? These originally got my attention because I'm curious if you could connect as 2S3P to drive something needing 72V at 50A+, which was why I was interested in the connector to begin with.
On, and nobody's "talking", we're typing, but I could see how you could get confused about that. Thanks for the chuckle.
The lenovo laptop charger connector physically fits. But the pin out is different. The middle pin and the outer wall on lenovo is negative and inner wall is positive. While on the battery pack the outer and inner wall are negative and pin is positive. So you need to take the connector apart and rewire if you want to use it.
@@SaurabhGoogle That's a good news. Yes, Pinot might not fit.
How can I get one
Shame that there isnt anyone in europe selling recycled batteries. They are probably all destroyed. I would buy those for sure....
Jehu, can you look at the transistors in the BMS and see what the max voltage they can take - you may not be able to put them in series.
When I was working with them they were 30amp fused
The BMS is marked SP-R13-090-A03A. I was never able to find any info on it when I looked before
@Gil L So it 'could' be max 90 volts, 30 amps. If this is the case , then it would be ok to have 2 in series. Single pack is 42 volts max.
@@BrazzaB1 there are 4 crss052n08n N-MOSFETS which have an 85v rating according to the spec sheet i found
@@PennIsMightier1 So they would be 'just' within voltage range. Obviously the spec has a tolerance and so I would expect the transistors to be OK up to 90v
I have bought one of these, put on my ebike but it's only giving it a small push, and after does nothing. I'm guessing it's the BMS. Is there a way to bypass it? Or what is it to do? Ty
what are the dimensions by the way?
Why can't this be shipped to Canada? 🇨🇦
Nooe
What are the dimensions? I need to see if it'll fit my bike
do you think it will work for the mi365
i got 3 y parallel and i get 1000Wh. i tought we talk about capacity and not about constant power , wich yea, is whatever the bms give, and only in tools and Evehicles matter, ooor if we need to power our house for a short ammount of time
Both specs are
Important, in mobility applications which this are, power is really important
Hey bud I'm trying to get ahold of you I need a battery for my 72 volt 300 watt motor custom scooter build
Nice price . Shipping to NZ
No shipping outside of USA.
It looks like a battery from a folding power wheelchair
You still got any of these?
Yea
@@jehugarcia
Would the 750w be peak output? Like is it ok to use this for a 750w peak motor?
Or is it better to go with more than the peak so the battery isn't getting too close to its rating?
@jehugarcia Any suggestions on how to get this pack to take a charge without dismantling it to bypass the bms. There is a 17V total charge on the pack at the moment.
From what I remember you just charge it through the output
Actually, I ended up taking the charger port of the battery pack off and connected the 42v charger directly and it looks like it is charging now. Thanks for the heads up on the alternative method though.
Please i want to know which of the following is more powerful for an ebike to climb hills:
1.) 36v 20ah battery pack (720 watts) or
2.} 48v 10ah battery pack (480 watts)
When you say "powerful" what you need for power is amp, not ah. Forget the Watt for a sec, 36v or 48v 12v, 72v etc, are rated to run devices or load of their equivalent voltages (except you are building with booster or buck converter) . Once you achieve that the next is (ah), which is what you give you longetivity i.e how long you can run it.
Lastly depending on how powerful the device is, (amp) is what will determine if you can only run the device to its minimum, average or max capacity.
@@sam_wyt9879 thank you. So the amp the controller draws and supplies the motor, is what provides the power. Let me rephrase the question. Which of the following provides more torque to a motor:
1.) 36v controller that can draw 20 amp or
2.) 48v controller that can draw 10amp.
@@odoohub5010 the formal I believe. Just don't run electronic device at their max "continuous" instead get something above the power u need.
@@sam_wyt9879 thank you
Jag35 is BAK. Jk you neva left
Hey I like to purchase a ebike battery how do I get to your store
Jag35.com
I don't know what batteries you are buying that are not from China. All batteries are manufactured in China. I love high quality Chinese engineering. When manufacturing, both good and bad products are produced, in order to reduce waste, the lower quality cells are often sold as off brand cells.
How hard you think it's be to hook up 16 or 20 of those to the Samba EV as a hot-swap range extension? Like these guys, but electric instead of hydrogen.
