The crazy thing is that in their interrogation handbook this is also in their. If they look at the officer they are guilty, if they look away they're guilty. If they stand still they're guilty, if they fidget they're guilty. The very thing that cops see is a guilty person because that's what they are taught from the get go.

As a motorcyclist, the old sensors at traffic lights rarely, if ever pick up motorcycles if they’re the first in line at a traffic light. It was common practice for us to go slightly past the line in order for the sensor to pick us up. I’ve been at traffic lights where I was skipped 4 times due to the sensor not picking up the motorcycle. The guy in the video mentions that but the trooper was too much of a douche to care.
Cop used him being over the line as excuse after the fact. He was retaliating against him because a different motorcyclist ran away from him. Purely retaliatory from the officer.

"How do you NOT know him?" What the fuck kind of question is that? Like Everyone that owns a motorcycle instantly knows Everyone else that owns a motorcycle!
To be honest this is why I stopped riding where I live. I got about 6 tickets in Baltimore because I was "in the area of other bikers" who were doing wheelies, driving recklessly, and other random stuff police wanted to stick me with. I won every court case but found out they were starting to target me on my route to work because they'd post up outside my job after never having posted there before and I'd come back to a ticket or infraction on my bike so they could stack evidence against me. So, when I stopped riding, I had a casual encounter with a cop that kept asking where my bike was "because it was awesome", but then asked if any of my friends rode around the area too because they had gotten reports of bikes in the area and still took me in for questioning even when I hadn't ridden my bike in 2 weeks. I have friends who ride but we hate cutting too close to each other and tend to spread out in case someone tries to run one of us off the road. The irony of which is my friend was run off the road by a car and the cop said that my friend must have done something to provoke the driver and didn't make an arrest, 2 weeks later the guy was in jail for road rage.
Crazy how cops can commit assault and domestic terrorism turn around and get fired Then find a job down the street The bar is set so low you couldn't limbo under it
I'm over here looking at our state primary candidates, and almost every single one has a passage about addressing crime and public safety by hiring more police. Like, really? Maybe think about other resources and how they could be employed to reduce the load on existing officers. That might actually reduce the number of situations where police have the opportunity to come in and create more problems.
I love your presentations, but I think you missed one thing in this video. Right at the start, the citizen kept saying “you’ll get it when I get my keys.” That, likely, was in response to a request for ID, though unheard in the video.

Suddenly the COP realizes he hasn't been patted down, gets him out, pats him down, and *HANDCUFFS* him. Then shuts him in the back seat. What changed? This is an obvious case of Unnecessary and Excessive Force.
Hm. Of course the biker got angry. He got attacked, he was almost pushed over the bike, he was also robbed. He got no explanation and he had questions, the cop threaten him and arrested him. The cop should stop next to them, show them they violated traffic laws, then tell them someone called the cops on them, etc. In a calm, human way. If he can't do that, he should work in a Walmart warehouse alone, because he is not social enough to work with people.
So I saw recently that there are some stop lights that don’t pick up the motorcycle because of the weight and some have to scoop past the line to allow a car to pull up behind them so the turning lane will change for them. There was another video where a cop stopped traffic to let a motorcycle go so the car behind him could Scoot up to the line and let the light change naturally after that.
Innocent guy: *gets nervous when cops pass by, being in fear of a corrupt force with power* Cops: *proves his fears by jumping him, assaulting him, and arresting him* Cops when they are getting called out: "I'm about to murder someone" Cops when asked about the reason of arrest #1: "We jumped him!" (Jesus that's wild) Cops when asked about the reason of arrest #2: "He looked nervous" (I wonder why) Cops paperwork for jailing him: "Battery!" Attorneys or something: "Wow, he committed battery?" Cops: "No, we did!" Attorneys or something: "... You what?" So like did these cops think they could just beat the shit out of a random person and that'd count as a valid reason to arrest them or something?
Why do some cops think they can hold entire groups of motorcyclists hostage to demand information about other motorcyclists? Notice how they abuse the traffic laws to do it, too. Little things like a tire peeking over a stop line, they would never initiate a traffic stop over unless they want an excuse to jam someone up.
They MUST be held to the law. Simply punishing their department and city is not sufficient in the slightest. They need to be charged and held to a higher standard than the community and never get away with abusing them and never work as police again.
Your content is very informative the way you explained the proper points of the laws the police are using for each law they say is being broken ! Watching from U.K. 🇬🇧
Even then the movement wasn't purely ment to punish the police. Rather it was supposed to find a way to find causes for such crimes and find ways to use funding in order to prevent the need for the police to respond to such calls altogether if they never occur. The problem was the implementation was done incorrectly in many cases. Even bail reform, no one should be held because they can't afford bail. It is purely haves and have not situation and punishes those who are poor to stay behind bars. It should simply be up the the Judges if they should be released on bail or not in occurance to past history etc, just like the judge can set the bail higher or lower. If not, then ot should be no one gets bail everyone is held until trial.
The motorcyclist has a good point about the censors not picking up bikes. This is a major problem for me as a cyclist. If no one else is at the light, you are forced to either wait for no traffic and run the red, or get off the road completely and hit the pedestrian crosswalk, before then getting back on the street. I hope an engineer somewhere I coming up with a solution to let red lights know when a bike is there.
Rider and city planner here. A lot of the time for the sensors being right at the line isn't where it is pointing to. You actually need to be about 7 to 8 feet back. That is where they check and also if the sensor is in the ground it is about 9 to 10 feet back.
You can run a red if the lights have cycled and skipped you. Ie waiting to turn left and it gives green to the intersection but skips your left turn green. Or you can run it after a few minutes of waiting and there is no other traffic just treat it like a stop sign.
@@shadowstonar360 be careful saying that because it changes from state to state. In California you are not allowed to do that unless a police officer tells you. What the vehicle code says to do is that you need to try and back up and make your way into the right lane and turn right. From there you need to find another way through. I think that is absolutely stupid and way more dangerous than proceeding with caution but unfortunately that is what it is.
@@ramsfanz1 in your experience, when you stop at the right place, do the sensors pick you up on a motorbike? I think some pick up motorbikes but not bicycles but im not sure.
For the first case this was in the incident report written by the officers, “we detained Mr. Kennedy because he looked in our direction and stiffened his shoulders and torso” They literally hit him with the “he was standing there, MENACINGLY!”
@TyeDPod He said he doesn't carry it in his pocket while riding. He specifically said quite a few times "I need my keys to give you my papers" (i.e. License, insurance, registration) as all bikes like that have a compartment in them that takes unlocking it to hand those to cops

When someone tells you they're claustrophobic and they're having a panic attack and you don't aid them that is cruel and unusual punishment That officer should be charged
The cops are all about "cruel and unusual punishment". They truly believe that is their job, or at least a perq of their job. Consider all the unjustified use of force occurring every day, week in and week out, year after year.
A perfect example on how an officer's attitude can make an interaction better or worse he would have been more cooperative if he was less needlessly hostile and antagonistic so even though this traffic stop is legal his excessive and unnecessary hostility proves it's racially motivated
the motorcycle incident is it abhorrent. The guy is freaking out asking to have his helmet taken off. He's not demanding to be let go, he's not trying to get away, he's JUST trying to breathe. The cop saying "Calm down" Like he's just an annoyance... Anxiety disorders are real, folks. Panic attacks and anxiety attacks are horrendous - it feels like you simply can't get enough air regardless of how much or how fast you breathe and "calm down" is about as effective as putting a bandaid on a dismemberment.

Dude got charged with assault when he was the one who got assaulted. I also want to give props to COPA, not only did they put they put the hammer down on the cops, they also placed blame on their supervisors.
Sadly, COPA doesn’t have the authority to fire though. The CPD can completely ignore their recommendations.

This first case is an absolute nightmare. Its insanity that these cops had no criminal charges put against them.
The cops in the video used *looking right at them and widening his eyes* as a justification to detain a suspect and the cops in the case cited used *avoiding direct eye-contact* as a justification to detain a suspect.
QUESTION: Where tf are people supposed to look?!

@@KazeShikamaruThat doesn't mean that we know each other...
Exactly. But you can't rely on a cop to have a functioning brain

Put him in jail for 4 days with made up charges too...
Motorcycles and bicycles are notorious for not being detected, their smaller size as well doesn't help for motion detectors...

End qualified immunity. Some people are too unstable to police, and they need to be held accountable.
Good cops don't need immunity, therefore Qualified immunity was invented for the sole purpose of protecting bad cops.
Taking his keys is not justified bud, please
They MUST be held to the law. Simply punishing their department and city is not sufficient in the slightest. They need to be charged and held to a higher standard than the community and never get away with abusing them and never work as police again.
Your content is very informative the way you explained the proper points of the laws the police are using for each law they say is being broken ! Watching from U.K. 🇬🇧
After watching police interaction videos for 2 years I now understand the defund the police movement.

In California, it’s legal for a bike to go if it’s safe on a red.
