Going to the cops to report cops is exactly why they get away with so much. There needs to be a public agency that provides oversight that holds no interest in the department other than to investigate misconduct claims.
What is really disturbing is seeing police break the law, abuse people, not know the law, misrepresent the law, lie and arrest people on the basis of NO LAW.......AND THEY ARE KEPT ON THE FORCE AND RECEIVE BONUSES AND PROMOTIONS AS A RESULT.
That should be a sign to what I've been warning people about for the last eight years. Every incorporated municipality, sheriff's office, and the agencies that's followed are in fact domestic terrorist cells disguised as law enforcement agencies. They're what is known as a standing army foreign ro the country and despise our country's laws. America is a self-governing republic. So remove the word democracy from your vocabulary unless you're a member of the legal society's Nation Lawyers Guild Communist Party.
You can find the headquarters for this party in New York. Why do you people think New York is the first to outlaw the right to keep and bear arms? New York is the test grounds for the disarming of the American people.
They only get like 6months of training or less in most cases in the US and if you are shown to be too good or intelligent then you are less likely to make it.

Yes, they could of course avoid 100% of all their work using that strategy. However, if you've got two guys going around the parking lot filming the inside of all the cars, that's kind of suspicious don't you think? These are private cars of cops. Some cops do have actually dangerous enemies. So then what? Are they supposed to dedicate a whole workday to "babysit" these babies? I'm not saying they handled this correctly, but these guys are basically forcing their hands to do _something._ They're wasting everyone's time, being annoying a.f., and other than a few pushes they've got nothing to complain about.
My one interaction with police was literally that
Two friends (two 20yo white girls in a mini van mind you) pulled up to my house to deliver graceries when i was home sick, soon a police car approached, four police officers stepped out and were like ”what’s going on here”-I was on my way inside then but came out and just told them they brought me groceries and held up the bag. They were like ”oh ok have a good day”, got back in their vehicle and left. I think they thought we were dealing drugs or something first lol

If a regular person bumped into a police officer like that multiple times they could get charged with assaulting an officer. Or if the guy had responded by pushing or bumping back they would’ve taken him down. Shameful behavior and a suspension is not enough.

The irony here is a case called Jordan v New London, where they basically admit that they hire stupid troopers on purpose. Not even kidding, go search the case.
Their content is to record the police while performing their duties, the cops actions during the encounter is just a bonus, but if they want it to end best thing would be to learn the laws they are supposed to enforce, passing the bar would be the better option than avoiding a camera

This literally just proves, firings, suspensions, complaints, beatings...none of it matters they still get paid, got awards and get promoted. Nothing is done about it...and we are constantly told to trust these scumbags.

We need to push for a law that citizens need to over see violation of the constitution by law enforcement. Kinda like jury duty

After hearing the Lieutenant’s disciplinary history, he exemplifies everything wrong with LEO’s in America.
Unfortunately, I've noticed that many officers prefer their reputation with fellow officers being good rather than doing what they know is right. Simple explanation but most of these videos I've noticed this.
Especially when their family members are in positions of authority over departments. More than likely, the only reason that the tyrant had received accommodations is because he had family in positions to make that happen, that's called nepotism. Clearly that tyrant is not an honorable man...

Supreme court has ruled police cannot be complainants for disorderly conduct. For a very long time it was their go to crime...

Letters of recommendation come from inside the force, not the community. A letter of recommendation basically says “he’s exactly what we want as an officer, he should be promoted “

Thank you ATA. The laws you cover and explain to the average man saved a buddy of mine from a wrongful arrest. Essentially got approached at the gas station. Cops didnt like that he didn't want the consensual encounter. Immediatly went into, "you look suspicious, give us your id.". Bro pulled up the laws that shows were not stop and id, laws to define obstruction when the threat came out, and made it clear he'd sue if they took it any further. Drawing a crowd by that point the officers backed off. I imagine he'd likley be arrested if he didnt have a better understanding of our local law and rights.
Yeah, credible, well researched channels like ATA are like the “enemy” to crooked/corrupt police officer’s. The LAST thing these cops want is a citizen who’s both informed on the law & able to demonstrate that they are aware of the law & their rights.

He keep a few out that would have helped more. He spent 3 min on a law about “government non public property”, when that wasn’t necessary because it didn’t happen here. But he doesn’t mention Smith v Cummings where the court said it’s a right to film government officials in their duties.

They get food and drink and i talked tto them often. 1 of em flat out said he likes channels like ATA. He flat out said the more educated the populace, the easier his job. The one happy was the rookie, the older of the two had a pretty foul look when he said it. Granted I haven't talked to em in months. After learning how bad consensual encounters can go I've opted to no longer have them.
These court cases continually chip away at our rights case after case. We lose freedom with seemingly every one. How the courts can twist plain meaning to suit their needs is outrageous.
The Supreme Court created qualified immunity out of thin air. In Mimms v. Pennsylvania, the court gave cops the right to harass drivers by ordering them to get out of their vehicle for any reason. In Terry v. Ohio, the court turned cops into "ID addicts" who arrest and brutalize citizens for refusing to give ID.
Yeah pretty disgusting. Don't just have to know the law, you have to know every precedent.
And so you know how I feel about how the 1st and 2nd Amendments are being violated. They're plainly written but that doesn't seem to matter.

What I took from this, is that it is not a crime in Connecticut to body check, or push people, in an attempt to intimidate them.

I'm actually somewhat impressed that this seemingly was actually internally investigated and resulted in something at least resembling a punishment, rather than just paid vacation.
Our county law enforcement put up fences and signs where the public is not allowed.
While I normally think these “auditors” are just fishing for lawsuits, I now see they are actually serving a public interest in weeding out those cops that can’t keep their cool.
There can be no lawsuits without a bad cop whose willing to violate citizens rights so all the auditors are doing is giving those bad officers a chance to do it on film were something can be done about it. They can't make these officers react in a way that they aren't willing to so it's guaranteed they've done so before and will do so again if someone doesn't catch them don't it and report it.
Same here. I get irritated with some of them, but they’re necessary. They help reveal the illegality of police procedure & that is helping identify the problem & to make the laws of citizens clear and concise. These guys are unironically doing a public service.
Respect is a two way street. I don't understand why there is an expectation of civilians to be respectful to police when the police are anything but respectful to the civilian.
Respect is earned too! So I don't understand how anyone, especially cops, can think that they are entitled to a stranger's respect 3 seconds after meeting them! It's a completely ridiculous expectation if you ask me, but apparently most LEO's think otherwise.
They confuse respect with fear. They’d be fine if you went into fetal position and urinated in fear. They’d call that respect.
I hope I'm the exception but I have run into more corrupt cops that have done more damage than corrupt citizens have ever done. In America, we regular citizens have rights. In 2021 over 3,000 British citizens were arrested for posting their opinions to social media.

That should be a massive lawsuit and there should be no qualified immunity as he clearly knows he’s not acting within the law under the color of law.
People give these auditors a bad name but this is exactly why they exist. Police will live out there entire life violating constitutionally protected activities and never get so much as a scratch
I dunno, every now and then they find one slumped over the wheel. When that happens I always wonder how many people they violated.
You can hate the cops actions while also realizing most auditors are lowlifes who couldn't hold down a real job and only do it for youtube views. Their entire purpose is to be annoying so that they can get a negative reaction from the police.

It is a thin blue line that separates the ones that are just dumb from those with enough smarts to be corrupt.
Corruption is knowing what youre not supposed to do and doing it anyway, so I guess it leaves the bad to be just pure incompetency, “I dont know better”. Both are bad, but corruption is much more infuriating in my opinion.

I DEFINITELY don't like it and I don't feel comfortable touching people I don't know either. I couldn't go through people's personal shixx either. I won't even go in my kids purses when they tell me to get something out of it for them. I just hand them their whole purse.

While I'm conflicted on auditors that are this deliberately antagonistic I guess it proves their point that the cop's ego is what gets cops in trouble. If the police said, "ah, you're an auditor, knock yourself out. I'll be up there if you need anything", but they just can't.
Auditors wouldn't even exist if police routinely did that.
Fwiw, there have been enough cases of disgruntled people walking into police stations and spraying bullets. The cops are within reason to be suspicious and auditors like these don’t really help smooth over relations b/w public and police.
Since LEOs have so much authority and almost zero oversight, I feel it is imperative that auditors interact with and test them, even (and especially) antagonistically in order to ensure they are fit for serving the greater public.

these so called 1st amendment auditors do not give a crap about protecting our rights. They just using that as a crutch to make money using RUclips. It is all about the clicks and views. 99.9% are all career criminals and they have a beef with law enforcement. a majority of them are convicted felons.

He was suspended without pay and I am sure he was allowed to work OT or a few extra hours everyday until the days of no pay was made up.
It is much needed that all citizens must take action in exposing the so-called police for what they truly are.

The student resource officer at the high school my kids are assigned to actually admitted he was bullied by football players while in school and now he plans to get his revenge by ticketing and arresting as many football players as possible, especially if they’re the kids of the football players he knew in high school. He told my husband this when he saw him at a gas station while off duty. My son played football for part of one season and this officer targeted him every chance he got until we finally moved him out of there. He even tried to charge my son when he was attacked by other students outside of school hours and off of school property. These boys broke my son’s jaw and several of his teeth and admitted what they had done. Once we pulled him out of there he never had another issue after that. I didn’t send my younger 2 kids to that school either and nobody at the police department wanted to hear anything about it even though there were many complaints and even the juvenile court judge noticed that most of his work came from that high school and were all football players being charged with frivolous bullshit charges.
You know it's gonna get bad when the cop threatens to arrest someone, they immediately hold out their hands and say "do it", and the cop's response is "why are you busting my balls?"
Please arrest me at that point, I'm broke and could use the money.
It's sad that the physical fitness standard of law enforcement is so low.
