- This was a special week - we got to tour the beautiful coast of the Mediterranean coast - all the way to the tip of Gibraltar! 2300+ km in a week - we started in Barcelona, then Cullera, Alicante, Marbella, Estepona, Malaga, Benidorm and Valencia!

Spain is a large country with not many places to shelter apart from marinas. Great road trip. Wouldn’t stop too long in those red light areas😂

Think I prefer La Jolla and Del Mar.😁 Interesting - Since the 1980s, the small coastal plain, some 30 kilometers southwest of the city of Almeria, has developed the largest concentration of greenhouses in the world, covering 26,000 hectares. Several tons of greenhouse vegetables and fruits such as tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and zucchinis are produced here annually. More than half of the Europe’s demand for fresh fruits and vegetables are grown under the plastic shades, fuelling the province of Almeria's economy by $1.5 billion in annual revenue.

I was wondering why you drove and did not sail. Until the Admiral said at this time of year it would be hectic. Weather wouldn't be sailing weather. Anyways it was a nice tour, but the big cities I'd no real interest as I am more into the smaller villages and out of the way places to go. Less people the better.
