- This was one of the toughest videos I've ever had to edit. Saying goodbye to our 18 year old daughter @jadynmorse as we sent her away from our sailboat to another one...on her greatest adventure yet. She'll be joining @SailingZatara for the next few months on their Privilege sailing catamaran as they work their way across the Atlantic Ocean. Zatara is quickly becoming a content house
But in a good way.
I think it’s because they’re getting bored of sailing
The main thing is ,Jayden is hanging out with good people and gaining more good life experiences on zatara.
OMG that ending. I was rolling hard at that. Jadyn is a gift and I know it must be really hard to part ways with her, if even for a few months. You clearly did (most of) the right things raising her as she really is an amazing human. Thank you so much for sharing these parting moments with us all. You're good peeps and it really shows in Jadyn.

That was so funny at the end as I had seen jadens grand mother had left the sweetest comment on zataras page and some jerks said some rude things about how Jadens sleeping arrangement near Jack's room so that was so funny I can't wait until they that person see this...
That ending took my breath away I bet Dad was dialing before I took a breath!!! Jadyn knows her self worth and I am positive she will never let that happen to her until she is ready to give up having a great life and exploring the world
I'm going to predict that in about 2-3 months you are going to have a Zatara boy that is going to want to come stay on your boat for a while.
You guys are an incredible family. Seeing this and thinking about how our two girls will one day be 18 and off to new adventures really is hitting home right now 😭

Enjoy the adventure Jadyn! Sailing families are so close that leaving the nest seems for foreign and scary … for everyone. I think it’s easier for us land loving families. That’s because we see our children less and less as they get older.

First one leaving the nest is the hardest, well all of them is hard, but it’s so amazingly wonderful to watch them fly and become who they are. Especially cool to see everything you’ve poured in as parents rise to the surface in a beautiful mix of them!

I've been following Jadyn on the Zatara channel as well as her channel. You guys did an amazing job raising her. She's so delightful, positive, respectful, and caring. It's perfectly normal to feel sadness. My adult daughters both live 930kms from where I live. It's been a difficult challenge for the past 8 years because I love them so much, but we parents have to learn to let go & let them live their lives. I think 95% of parents share the same experience. I hope it all works out & she'll be back. It's not the end.
After my sister died on January 20th, 1990, at the age of 18, I realised that as long as my daughters are alive that's all that matters.
I left for the Navy at 17 for a different kind of boat. 4 year journey! The transatlantic crossing will be quick and an amazing experience!

I just subscribed to your channel which I found through Zatara. I have been following the Whitakers for years now and keep adding more of their sailing friends because I find all of the videos fun and so interesting. To watch all the kids interact is fantastic. Mom, I cried during this video also as it is never easy to send your 18 year old off to college, an adventure, etc. However, I applaud both of you for setting her free to explore the world. Kudos to you both. It will be fun to keep up with Jayden on Zatara and how you all are doing in Grenada one daughter less. I sailed Windjammer out of Grenada. Beautiful place. We would sail up to St. Vincent, Mayreau, Bequia, etc. I look forward to seeing your next video now that I have subscribed. PS. I have also subscribed to Jayden's RUclips channel.

Okay, up until a couple of days ago, had no idea who Jadyn was, have never watched your channel (it came up in my YT feed today), but from what I've seen on Zatara's channel, she is going to be great with Keith and Renee. Of course, you have to deal with Jack and Finn's warped sense of humor.
I'm glad that she has joined the Z-Crew, at least temporarily. Kate must be doing backflips to have a couple of younger-aged ladies on the boat again, kind of makes up for Anna not being there. I look forward to seeing how she's doing over the next couple of months.
I'll be checking back in with you, also, to see how you're doing without her onboard. But, from what I've seen so far, she's going to be a a great asset on Zatara for the crossing.

People keep harassing tge zatara family for welcoming young and teenage kids on their boat, I mean Jack and fynn are not different from kids in the school u send ur baby girls in,plus the zatara welcomed both gender they didn't target girls specifically,and watching the new crew for few weeks I never thought " this person is for jack and the other is for fynn!!! As an adult I don't understand why people keep criticising them for that. In Europe sex is more openly discussed,and if there r boundaries believe me no one cross them,I travelled alone with my classmate from middle school and high school and the supervisors were our teachers did never assume we will have orgies parties , it was the best time of my teenage life, my parents have already put their condition and I respected them enough to not mess up those opportunities, jade is in good hands,the boys are cool and respectful, well raised. I don't get people

From an outsider who didn’t “know” the Zatara crew before this and now does personally as well as lots of conversations with Jadyn to see how things are going…I can confirm she is with incredible authentic humans, a great family, and they are who you see they are on their videos. The boys are very good dudes…confirmed by Jadyn who we obviously trust. There I said it for the world to see! 😂

I’ve really enjoyed catching up on your videos! Our family is considering a similar path of RV into a future boat adventure. One thing we’re concerned about is my wife is very prone to car sickness! Have you all experienced this challenge or do you have advice on how to overcome it? Best of luck keep up the adventures!
Thanks so much for taking the time to watch and follow along! Amber is actually the same way! Has to sit in the front of a car. It depends on how the passage is. She can definitely not feel great on passages depending on how the swell is rollin and such but will often take a Bonine every morning that we are on passages. They work well. But laying down and sleeping is the best remedy too.

I..Brandon…have a bit of a videography/editing background. Jadyn started her channel only about 6 months ago. She never edited a single video before that or had a clue how. I showed her the basics on Final Cut Pro and as you can see…she took it away and now has such a unique style. She’s killing it!

Hi, would love to become a new follower - you all seem wonderful! 3 things shared from my perspective and I mean it constructively: Please don't drive and film yourself additionally - that scared me that you put these reckless things online for the world to see and please consider what I'm writing and just simply don't do this again - also without the camera. Anything you do in front of the camera will be watched by young people so it will be normailzed and they might be the one killing a whole family in a car crash. 2nd point: talking into a camera with sunglasses and saying good bye to your kid in sunglasses. Maybe you tried to protect yourself from being a crying dad or maybe you think you look cool - to me it's a barrier I do not enjoy and seeing a man being able to be vulnerable is one of the most important things on this planet right now. If men keep on surpressing sadness, fear and hurt, anger is the the energy on the surface that will show up in moments in their life. And I believe the planet has had enough angry power hungry men for her life time. Not saying you would ever get angry - I am suggesting to show vulnerability - honest moments not fake drama - to bring this into the world that it is ok to have feelings as a male human. I think I understand how challenging that must be so I would lovingly encourage you - you can do it! It will be a beautiful release. You might have cried anyway - just saying for me as a viewer - you behaved like most men have to behave in moments like this with the camera. I understand. Sending you all success and love and wonderful travels!!! Also, your sky is the only one without chemtrails I have seen in months! Gotta figure out where you are!!

Oh Zatara where the mother says that sharks don't attack humans, because they don't like the taste. Do they talk about it with each other, or have they all taken a bite to know? The dumb people should see the photos of the remains of my neighbour, who was attacked by a shark while diving for shellfish. It tore his leg off at the hip, and took two bites out of the thigh muscule of the other leg. Like I said to her, say that crap to Australian commercial fishermen, and they will turn you into crab bait, same in Mexico. I can't stand that stupid woman.
Barking up the wrong tree here my friend. We’ve dove with 100’s of sharks. Sharks “can” attack humans. I’ve seen it happen. Spearfishing with a buddy and shark came to get the dead fish out of his hands. But it’s rare. And you need to understand them and their behavior. You’re not gonna find many sailing channels that don’t have an appreciation for sharks and a “healthy” fear of them. We live in their backyard. Renee is a kind human. No need to disparage here.
