Hi Angela, thanks so much for putting that list of sewing Vloggers together. That must have been a bit of an effort there are so many of us!!! Goodness me... mother of the bride outfit? I know you would have no trouble making your own mother of the bride outfit (when that day arrives)... but someone else's??? 🙀🙀🙀🙀🙀 nnnoooooo!!!!!!! I had a work colleague love my Style Arc Yvette Dress I was wearing and asked me to make her mother one.... I said I'd think about it. Uuummm it's about 9 months ago now.... so... I guess that's a no then?

Even when my daughter got married during Covid (long story) and had to change the date 5 times and having made 5 dresses for myself the stress is real! Think about it, if she isn't entirely happy about the outcome how will things be at bootcamp afterwards? Hope your day is going better today! Can't think of how much you would need to pay me to make that outfit!! If she wants something bespoke she needs to pay a tailor! You sew as a hobby to enjoy yourself- that wouldnt be enjoyable! And what if she wasnt happy? You'd have to avoid boot camp!!! Lolol
I just love your reactions to the gifts, essentially the ones from Karen. As someone who does sew for other people, I'm going to suggest you decline. I really think it will just cause too much stress for you. She could probably find a seamstress through facebook, or a local fabric shop. I used to make a lot of garments for my clients, especially bridesmaid dresses, but now it's all alterations. Unfortunately the cost of the fabric, supplies, patterns, and of course my time just makes sewing for other people too expensive. I really love doing alterations for weddings, it's very rewarding seeing the joy it brings. But working full time, and running a home sewing business has meant there isn't always the time for personal and family sewing. I will be retiring from my full-time job in 6 weeks. While I will still have my sewing business, I will have time for personal sewing. I didn't start out thinking i would have a home sewing business, but I did some alterations for one or two people and before I knew it, i had a little business.

There is no way I would say yes, ‘so sorry no sewing is my relaxing time and a hobby’. I think it is unfair to catch you on the hop and ask for an outfit to be made for such a special occasion. Too much pressure, might be different if it was a family member. ❤
Absolutely not!! That is too much pressure and she wouldn’t want to pay what it would actually cost her to have something uniquely made. So funny we have matching patches 😂, mines going on a pocket somewhere! Glad you were cheered up by myself and Cara ❤ xxx
