  • This is a super easy change to make to your Chevy Silverado, Tahoe, Yukon, Denali, Sierra to allow the front accessory power outlets to turn off when you turn the key off.
    Check your owners manual for fuse locations, as different models may vary.

    I've been running a Rexing V1 pro dual 1080p and have swapped the 50 amp fuse over to the key switched position and now I don't have to remember to turn on and off the dash cam. GREAT little mod. I left left dash cam on by accident and over several days time the battery ran down. Thanks for the video. The hardest part was getting the damned accessory panel off you damn near need a stick of dynamite to get it off.

    I think the awesome... that it's silly not to have your dashcam on when you exit the vehicle. If someone hits your car when you're not in it, you won't catch it if the camera's not on.

    • @930Kali
      @930Kali 4 года назад +1

      @@zackjay71 I disagree. Just turn parking mode on. That's where if it gets hit it will turn on and record for one minute using internal battery. Otherwise you will have hours and hours of video loops just sitting there when it should only be on when driving or when hit.

    Will this work for 2019 Silverado? I think my dash cam is draining my battery. Dead battery a couple of times. Took it to the dealers and they checked everything out and said the charging system and battery was good. It would start after I charged the battery over night. Happened to me twice after vehicle sits for a few days.

    • @jewllake
      @jewllake 3 года назад

      so how do you remove it? those clips are too tight for a panel that needs to be removed for fuse access. The problem stems from the fuse door being too large as it serves as the end cap to the dash. I just squeezed the metal tabs down with pliers making it easier to remove and install.
