Thanks for the insights. I actually used this video to figure out this fuse also knocks out all the gauges and speedometer.
I know for a FACT that the power wire has come disconnected. How about showing us how to get behind them to reconnect that?

My aux in the arm rest in my 2005 lacrosse stopped a while ago. Now I blew the fuse in the aux under dash replaced fuse and it still won’t work.

what if i can’t push anything in there, like the inside is moved out kinda but i can’t push it back
So loose change falling into the socket can blow the fuse ??? That would explain why mine stopped working after that. It also seemed to blow out the two other extra fuses because all three stopped working at once from that incident. It pissed me off. Going to have to buy some fuses and see if that solves the problem in accordance to this video.

Radio and ourlet not working. Both fuses not blown. 2002 kia sportage. Just came to my mind that they might be using a common ground wire and it came loose or something. Like when i had to rewire the headlights because of a bad ground wire after a deputy sheriff told me to get it fixed in a nice way.
The wire that connects to the main power fell out. Where does that plug into on a 2003 Chevy Malibu??

So my car had two cigarette lighters, I believe theh have two seperate fuses. I've rep lb aced then before but it was a while back. I replaced one fuse under the hood and if i remember correctly the other one is under the steering wheel inside. But I cant find a blown fuse. And I checked the pins they are not showing power. And it looks like its coming from the same harness as the other cigarette lighter ??

Here's one. 1992 Camry, cigarette lighter port doesn't work. Disconnected the wires, put a multimeter to it, spits out 12v. Can a socket go bad and if so, how? I looked for any burn marks in it. Going to clean it up and try it again but can a port actually just go bad over time?
Mine didn't blow a fuse. It intermittently works.

I had the same issue, my 12v sockets were not functioning. So before pulling fuses, I checked all the devices plugged in USB and Cig ports: removed them and WHAAA LAAA.. USB Flash drive was the culprit.
What if the fuse is good, but still no power to any of the "cig lighters"?
U check the other side? There’s 2 fuses for this. Otherwise it’s definitely the socket. The fuses shouldn’t allow for much for damage to be possible

My front AND back 12V plugs suddenly stopped working one day….. very weird. I have no “home-style” plug ins in my car as it’s from 2004….

My chevey Malibu has 3 fuse boxs but the 2 front ones stoped working but I didn't see eny that say car lighter now I think it was the one that says power socket then. Now I no what to look for now

I have a 97 Honda Civic. Is there two fuse boxes ? Because the one under the hood passengers side didn’t help. I changed those fuses. So there’s one under driver side dash inside the car?

Both front and rear fuses blown and replaced but still no power in power outlets. This is on a 2014 Chevy Equinox LTZ. Any ideas where else to look for problem? Thanks

Thanks. To give more info: Plugged in a DVD player to back power source and blew fuses. After the fuses replaced used a cell phone charger and front power source worked. Went back to backseat power source and would not work. Returned to front and then it didn't work. Any ideas?
+justpar2012 You may want to check the circuit to see if there is a frayed or pinched wire on the circuit that might be blowing the fuse, or something in the power outlet that could be doing this. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com

I used a portable air compressor to inflate my tires. A neighbor came by and decided he would help me out by inserting the plug into my cigarette lighter. He didn’t realize that it was wet. The next day my ac would not engage. Mechanic said I had a bad PCM. I’m starting to wonder if that pump burned up my computer. Could such a thing be possible?
