  • Wanted to share an easy way to fix a common rattle issue that plagues Honda and Acura vehicles. This has happened to my 10th generation Accord and now my 2nd generation TLX. Simply bend the brake heat shield and you should be able to eliminate the noise.
     If you’d like, feel free to donate to help support my channel. As always, It’s much appreciated.

    I had the same exact problem with my car. We found it to be a rock lodged inside that dust shield.

    Hey Jon, Apex Blue TLX here thanks for the info. Just curious do you have a rattle coming from the right side dash near the infotainment screen? I’ve been hearing this really annoying rattle that’s on and off depending on the road I’m driving in. Acura said they would need a full week to identify the problem 😢

    • @HondaJon
      @HondaJon  Год назад +1

      What’s up man. Lol. I actually do. Like you said it comes and goes. See if when you push down on the dash near the window if it goes away. Mine does so I’m trying to think of a way to wedge something there

    Recently test drove a 2023 Accord SPORT HYBRID .it's ok but I don't know how I feel about .it's nice tho. If I get 1 it would be 1st choice color will be BLACK on the trim level SPORT-L or URBAN GRAY .
    I'm also waiting to see the 2024 REFRESH civic Si
    And waiting tonsee the 2024 Hyundai ELANTRA N as well.... will see what happens 😎

      Nice. I do like that new grey. I have seen a lot around me.
      That civic si would be sweet. I didn’t know they were getting a refresh.

      @Honda Jon I test drove the 2023 civic SI but it just feels like stuff is missing but that's just me so I'm just gonna wait For the REFRESH Si to see what they add back/update. And yes there is going to be a refresh kinda reminds me when the 8th Gen Civic SI came out in 2006 and there were no fog Lights from 2007-2008 and then 2009-2011 Si came in and they added fog lights making the refresh front end bumper and headlights Is an upgrading the Si wheels

    • @HondaJon
      @HondaJon  Год назад +2

      Nice. I’ll be watching it too and see what they come up with. I have always loved the Civic SI

    The sound sounds like it's coming from the middle of the passenger side on the dash And it doesn't look like it's the brake what else could it be?

    • @HondaJon
      @HondaJon  9 месяцев назад

      Try putting pressure on the dash towards the windshield. It’s notorious for rattling there.

    Hey Jon, has your tlx had that audio cutout problem? Sounds like static or lil pebbles bouncing off the windshield

    • @HondaJon
      @HondaJon  Год назад +2

      Hi. I haven’t had that yet but have heard of a lot of those issues with the audio systems and the fakra connectors. Have you taken it in for the issue?

    • @jyknyc
      @jyknyc Год назад +1

      @@HondaJon yea, it just started or maybe I just started noticing it. Made an appointment to have it checked out. People online say it it a improperly installed audio wire harness or something of that sort so hopefully that'll be all. 🤞

    Hey 👋🏼 i have a question. When your car is running does it sound loud under the hood? Maybe its in my head. But i feel like when the car is running now its louder. There are no lights on the dash. Honda said its normal. But i just feel like its louder then usual when i start it up. Also, what is the hose called under the hood that is closest to the Window & its close to the washer fluid & has a yellow clamp on it? (It is shaking when the car is running) maybe its just in my head but im worried. Please help a HondaGirl out.

    • @HondaJon

      Hey. Cars do sound different depending on a lot of things. If the engine is colder it will sound louder and be a little rougher as well. I can tell you that Honda 4 cylinder engines are pretty noisy. Can you take a picture of the tube you are talking about? You can send it to hondajon00@outlook.com

    I have a type s and it has a wired sound kinda sounds like If I had a bad suspension component and it’s driving me crazy. I wonder if this is it

    • @HondaJon
      @HondaJon  Год назад +1

      Definitely could be. I thought it was a suspension component too. It was a metal to metal sound. Sounds worse than it was.

    • @confused86996

      Is it tied to r p m's or what gear you're in?

  • @pjcardone164
    @pjcardone164 Год назад +1

    Pull it towards you a little bit or push it back a little bit

    • @HondaJon
      @HondaJon  Год назад +1

      I do a little of both but found pulling it towards you gives it that space it needs. It seems to hit a metal piece that is behind the shield so when I pulled forward it gives a little bit more room. Just find out if yours is the same if you’re having that issue.
