I am a medic of 13+ years, and leaving your TQ in its package is terrible advice. It’s a life-saving equipment and needs to be ready for immediate use. Especially if the premise is that this is for home defense. It’s like staging your home defense rifle without the magazine hoping to have time and dexterity to get it operational..Just my thought.
I feel everyone should have chest rigs or plate carriers set up along with ballistic helmets etc, im sure everyone will know the exact moment they'll need to throw on that gear. Imagine this scenario, you see a threat from inside your vehicle, do you immediately go to wherever your rifle or shotgun is stored and grab that firearm or do you evaluate the situation and then decide if your handgun will be enough for the situation?
I do something very similar with ear pro on my home defense rifle. I can easily throw on some ear pro without losing valuable time protecting myself and ears should the need arise. May do the same with a chest rig or plate carrier in the future???? Always have a tourney on every rifle.
I carry a TQ in my pocket next to my spare mag with a neomag clip every single day. I don’t care if it’s “funked up”” if I’m bleeding out some dirt and pocket lint is the absolute last concern in my mind.
US Peacekeeper has a nice rapid deployment sling pack with room for mags, tournament, flashlights, ear pro, snacks. Great for grab and go but not secure on body like this. Thank you and happy Thanksgiving! 🦃
Not really. An ar or ak with a 30rd mag and a light on it seems enough to me. No way you are gonna have time to put that on. Obviously have one set up for each fighting riffle but I ain’t taking the time to put one on.

I sure wish I could find this exact pack. I went to acetac and its not under chest ring, plate carrier medical or pouches. it is not the Stealth or the S.O.P or the Swag. could it be the S.O.P Micro with the Dangler pouch removed?

Yes! It should be staged.
Take the tourniquet out the plastic. It’ll be very slippery if your hands were covered in blood.

If you don't stage the TQ. If your down an arm when you need it it's gonna be hard to stage. Just saying.

I have but-stock mag pouches on/for most of my rifles...
I use an INVRT bandoleer that holds 3 AR mags and 2 pistol mags plus a TQ. I can easily throw it on and grab my rifle and go.
Oh lighting dark.... I was thinking the other kind of dark.
I’ll stick with the IC13 INVRT Bandoleer, same concept but done better.
Helikon Tex has a nicer unit, with they removable dangler pouch.

I have never heard of a home defense situation where more than 30 shots were needed.
A Fanny pack that sits a little higher. And it’s all about the med kits nowadays.
