I finally took the time to make this, I love it. I've been meaning to make it since you put this tutorial out(nearly a year ago). I decided it would make a great birthday gift to myself, my 50th. In the 42 yrs since I learned to crochet I have never made anything for myself and I chose this sweater. I love it it looks awesome on me. I used wool-ease, the Dark Rose Heather. Thank you so much.
Happy birthday
I made this for my daughter and she doesn't want to take it off. Now I'm making one for my mother. Thank you so much. xo
I started making this cardigan 3 years ago (I'm a super slow crocheter) and I'm finishing it under COVID-19 quarantine #stayathome
Omg I too started it 3 yrs ago and planned to finish it now!!.....hope you're successful 😊😊
Omg same here 😂
I used to be the same but now have gotten faster and feel like putting on something knew and my choice of colour so it boosts me to finish!😃😀😍
It really has been over 7 months of quarantine
How many ball of yarns did you use?
I can not thank you enough! My granny taught me how to double crochet when I was young. Until now...all I have done is some wobbly scarves! You have given me the direction and confidence I have needed! THANK U! I can’t wait to make this for my sweet granny!
I remember when this video came out it had sound back then I don’t know what happened. I always come back to me. It is a very easy pattern
Thank you for sharing this beautiful cardigan. I've made it in a dusky pink and I get so many compliments when I wear it. I've also been asked to make a couple for friends. I'm going to be busy for a while 😊
This cardigan is beautiful. I can't wait to make it! Unfortunately, most of the video has no sound 😭 I'm going to see if I can follow the pattern (this will be my first crochet project) and match it up to the video.
Yes I wanted to make it but struggling without the sound 😞
Is it possible to add the sound in this video
I realize that the video was made 6 yrs ago!
I see she has a transcript that u can follow.
@@mjperfume1523 the transcript cuts in and out at the same time/places as the audio
It is strange because I did this about 3 yrs ago and there was sound. I wanted to do it again today and there was sound before she did the magic circle
Just finishing one in grape color for my mom and she's so excited about to wearing it!!! your explanation it's very clear and you have a lot of patience to do it, thanks!! so soon will make one for my own in other color!!
for some reason I find the combination of your voice and the speedy video clips verrrrry comforting lol I foresee myself falling asleep a few times when I make this lol
Hello Annoo! I finished my comfy cocoon cardigan about 10 days ago... did for my granddaughter... and she was only able to model it for me last night. She is in love with it and that has made me so happy. Thank you for your wonderful tutorial... you really made it so very easy to follow. Angel blessings to yo!!! xox
Diana Earl hi Diana is that a basic granny square? And just keep on increasing?
Annoo, I just love this! You are an awesome teacher of crochet. You are my go to person for all things crochet.
Hi Annoo, thank you for this gorgeous cardigan tutorial. I made it with stunning yarn which was purchased about 2 years ago, but you know how it is, we buy yarn that we fall in love with but have to wait for the perfect pattern. Thankfully you gave me just that! I am thrilled with the result. Keep up the grwat, inspirational work! ;-). xxxxx
By the way, I added 2 huge buttons to mine . :-) xx
Ann Marie Camps
Hi, yes I did. I also feel the hook size is too big making the overall cardigan a bit too big (& I'm a larger lady) I am going to make one for a friend but I will use a size 8 hook instead. x
Do u have a written pattern for the cardigan? If so may I have it!
Thank you Smilely for doing that so we can know where she's working!!
I finished mine my daughter loves it.She wants 2 more in different colors and my little 6 year old granddaughter wants one too.Thank you so much for your patterns absolutely stunning.
Oh my gosh it's soooo beautiful! I'm going to a really cool yarn store soon and I'll have to buy some yarn just for this!
This lady has a very relaxing voice. And she makes amazing things. I will definitely try making the skirt and cardigan. They are both very stylish.
This is perfect, I have been looking for one to make for a friend's birthday. Thank you for uploading! This looks much younger looking than the ones I've been looking at.
So glad you like it!!!! Happy Crochet!!!!!
I love watching you because you are so easy to listen too and your fashion sence is spectacular. I am making one of these for all 3 girls plus my daughter in law. You are so funny too, love the bloopers!!!
I don't know if you are aware of your video tutorial here, but the volume shuts down 2nd half of your video intermittently. Is there any way you can fix it. I wish you had a sub-title style where it can be read what you are saying for those several minutes. Otherwise, I just subscribed and look forward to more of your crochet creation. Thank you.
you have anatural gift of teaching, so easy to listen to...lovely cocoon cardigan project....
I love your tutorials!! I just finished my first cocoon, in a mesh stitch, and am busy doing one now in the granny stitch, super gorgeous finished garment, love it and love you, keep making beautiful art to wear...
I made this in a teal for my daughter, she loves it and wants another in black. love the pattern and so easy. love your tutorials!
Made one of these last year it took me a day and was so easy!!! Highly recommended :)
Hells bells
i'm using size 5 needle pray for me 😑
I used a 7 but my thoughts are with you :D
how do you measure for difference sizes? sorry never made this kinda thing before.
Just add more or less rows depending on how big you want it... :)
I have made so many of these cocoons. When people see my nieces wear them everyone wants one. The longer the cocoons the better and sometimes they want longer cuffs. I just sent my daughter's friend in Seattle, who is a new mom one. She can cuddle in this while taking care of the baby.
I've made this pattern several times and absolutely love it!!! Thank you so much for taking the time to show it to us! I would love to see more simple cocoon cardigan tutorials in the future. Maybe one with sleeves?!?! Thanks again Annoo for your time and great videos. You are a delight to watch! Happy 4th of July!
I am finishing mine tonight and making another one for my mother and mother in law for mothers day and also one for myself! I have to say this is the best tutorial and I love all of you tutorials Annoo thank you for being so wonderful your voice is so calm and peaceful! love the music by the way!
love it! Every week you give us a present. Thanks

Annoo! I absolutely love your videos. They are easy to follow yet they have some humor and personality. Just love your style.
Aww Annoo thank you! Looking forward to making me one I didn't realize how easily it was!😘😘
This is super easy and pretty, thanks for sharing this with us.
Made one for my four year old daughter and it is just adorable! Thanks for the tutorial, can't wait to see what you come out with next!
Thanks again Annoo for this tutorial. My daughter and daughter in law fell in love with my sweater so I will be making 2 more.
I just finished making mine.
I love it!!!
Tutorial was soooo easy to follow.
I'm only 5 foot 1 so did mine to 38 inches and it was perfect
Thank you ☺️
Laura McMillan Thank you for sharing your size! I'm 5ft Even and wasn't sure how big to make it!! :)
Laura McMillan Hello Laura. wondering when you did your cardigan to 38", where on your body did it stop? I am 5'3" and would like it to stop right below my butt, not to my ankles like Annoo did.
ouellettecindy mine finishes just above my knee joint x
Laura McMillan what size hook did you use? 9 or 8
I'm 5' 1" & am a size 1/2, small but not extra small. Can someone help me with the measurements? From my neck base to just below my butt, is 26", that is the length I would like my cardigan to be
Almost finished with one now, should be done by tomorrow. It was a late idea for a mother's day gift for my bf's mom. She absolutely loves shaws and cardigans and wears them all the time so I hope she likes this one I'm working on as well. Thank you for the beautiful idea!
Just started this project. Very easy to understand. Thank you so much for doing these. You are right this is a relaxing project. 💞
Your voice is so soothing & calming. I can listen to your voice all day 😌
I agtee
That is so gorgous! I am Definentlyyy make one when I am done with my current projects!😃
So soft and squishy looking. Love it. Perfect for my favorite season that is nearly here.
I hope you do more stuff like this, how about a long elegant sweater
I have a granny square going in Caron Simply Soft and will finish it as a cocoon shrug. So excited to see it finished and you made it look so easy!
Thank you so much for your video. I was able to follow your pattern perfectly. Mine turned out so beautiful. U did use a melange wool blend. It is now my new favorite. Kisses to u my dear annoy.😘😘😘
I made a large, oversized version for a friend of mine. My daughter loved it so much, that she begged me to make her one. I made a small, miniature sized version for her, and added a button at her request. I wish I could post a pic, she looks adorable. This pattern was so easy to follow and to resize for my purposes. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for your great 👍 love and support for the artisans! 🌹🌹🌹
My oh my i cant believe how easy u made it look like!! Thanks a million
This is so pretty. I'm in the process if making a shrug but I think I like this one better.. I think I'm making a trip to the yarn store!😃
Thank you for teaching me to crochet such a beautiful gift to myself...I made it the same color with the same yarn...it is so comforting. You have style and class and I am so blessed by you. Thank you for your hard work in sharing with all of us your expert skills♥️
Is there anyway possible to get the sound back on this video? Or perhaps create a new video? I made this once before and would love to make it again.
I absolutely love this, from one crocheter content creator to another your work is absolutely gorgeous
I Love this! You're so Talented and Blessed! Thank you for sharing!
xoxoxoxo
Thank you Annoo, This is the first crocheted garment I have ever made and it looks simply stunning. You really made it so easy to follow along so that the whole process was relaxing and fun. Bless you as you are so kind to share this amazing pattern with us x
Everyone who asked how much yarn your looking at 440 grams for a 51 inch square
Hi there, I am halfway through making this fantastic cocoon cardigan, I watched the entire tutorial before starting. I absolutely love your'e bloopers at the end, my giggle for the evening. Love you're work Annoo thank you :-)
I forgot to ask Annoo...will you be doing a tutorial for adding a hood to this pattern as well? I'm making this for my daughter and she asked if I could add a hood on...all I could reply was " I'll do my best" ha ha ha..
Viewing the hood that you added to the vest I will follow the same concept?
I just love it and I really want to make it but I am in the process of moving soon so it will have to wait but thank you so much for doing this tutorial
Thank you for sharing. I love that any square pattern will work.
I finished mine last week in autumn colours....send some pics in a private mess. on your fcb page! Absolutely love it, thank you so much for this tutorial. Loved it!!!
Another FAB video Annoo! I started making mine last night and can't wait until it's done. I have a love affair with granny squares and being able to wear them instead of just using them for blankets is a dream. Much love! xxxooo
;-)))) I hear you xoxoxoxo

I just finished making mine but I can't figure out how to post a pic to show u annoo!! Thanks so much for the tutorial!!
Hi Antoinette I would loooove to see it!! if you can, send me a pic in my email: annoocrochet@gmail.com xoxoxoxoxo
I absolutely LOVE fall and winter....for same reasons as you....boots, jeans, sweaters!!! Alas, it's summer now...but I'm making this cocoon for my daughter, for a Christmas present. She saw the thumbnail of this tutorial and was dying to have it! AND...she wanted it to be blush pink!! Lol...and she's not a blush pink kinda gurl! But she absolutely loved what you made. I'm using Caron simply soft instead of lionbrand. I can't wait to finish it! Thank you so much!
Is so pretty, I will make it for myself too, until my daughter wears it outside the front door as she goes home... lol.. I best make 2!!
Lol, that’s how daughters are
Just finished making one for my daughter....sooo cute! Thank you for the video
il est magnifique,j adore très beau travail
YOU ARE GREAT AT MAKING THINGS , IT LOOKS AMAZING.
Not sure why most of the video for me is silent. Sound goes on and off. I looked for the written pattern but the link goes to a blanket.
Same for me.
Same here
Same for me
The pattern is there. You can either scroll until you come across it or in the top right is a search bar. Just enter the tittle and it’s there:)
This is so pretty. I am going to use scarfie yarn. I am always freezing and this looks so comfy.
I made this and I Love it awhile ago! But question: When you put it on how can you tell which is the top and bottom? Thank you Donna
I can't believe how clear this pattern is! Thank you so much.
ok. I figured it out. one earbud plays the music only, other one has her voice. in one ear try one bud, then the other
Just finished mine in Lion Brand 'Denim'....totally love it, now I am starting in charcoal, so nice an soft and toasty
can you help me please? how many rounds will I need for xs, s , m ,l ,xl? I am comfused about that...
just start and try it from now and then, u can always fold it and u will always see what it looks like
Whatever is comfortable for you
Wow! I don't know how to crochet, but ...wow!! What a beautiful coat!
Did anyone else loose audio at 3:45 ish?
Yes I did too
I love watching your tutorials! Even if I’m not going to make whatever you’re teaching I just love to listen to you. Do you have such a soft and soothing voice and it really does help when I’m stressed and anxious to help me calm down ❤️❤️ I adore you, And I love your teachings as well… Thank you for all that you have Taught me
This is gorgeous! So you only chain ONE in the corners between clusters, no chain ONE between clusters on the sides?
Connie Bueche that's correct. this is the best granny square tutorial I have found. all others i have done haven't come out as squares
ah so glad you asked about the chain one on the sides! I was naturally adding a chain 1 and it was looking off.
I’m glad you ask that too!
Connie Bueche I chain 1 Jen I started out when I closed in I Did not chain one only in between the 3 double chain 1 three double chain
I just made this sweater for a friend using this tutorial to guide me through and it came out PERFECT! She loves it and I loved making it. It looks absolutely awesome and like something a boutique would charge a lot of money for so the fact I made it for around $12-$13 is wonderful 😂 I used Caron latte cakes in roasted tomato with a size 8 mm hook, still stitching loosely like you did and it worked great. Thank you so much! Love your channel and everything you do! 💙
Rodney how many cakes did you use?
Terri Miller I’ve made this 3 times using latte cakes and each time it’s been reliably ~ 2.25 cakes. Each cake being 530 yards x 2.25 cakes = almost exactly 1200 yards. I was making mine the same size as this video, i think she said somewhere between 41-43”? So you might be able to cut it down to like 36” and save yourself from having to get that third cake for the remaining .25. Hope this helps!
Thank you!!!
do you have a written pattern that I could use to follow along with?
WOW!!!! Amazing work. I love it... So beautiful and feminine!!!
Do you have written instructions for this pattern? That would be very helpful.
Judy Jones
Judy Jones agreed.... I checked the link, ugh, & it sent me to her store.... and it was the yarn, not the actual written pattern kinda irritating lol
carneyaugustine420 the written pattern is in a link below. you just need to press the small triangle to open up the area to find it
does anybody have a written pattern for this. tried to find it to no avail :(
not seeing any kind of triangle to open up in the area, frustrating
Thank you so much for this wonderful pattern and your awesome tutorial! I am an usher at an large, outdoor theater, and part of the uniform is a black sweater (for cold evenings). I saw so many patterns, and I thought yours was the best, and it is! I made mine in black but made it on the small side to fit the conservative uniform, used 4 different sized hooks, gradually increasing hook size and it fits perfectly! It also feels so good! I now look forward to making one in another color. You are so awesome! I love your joy of this art form, and thank you so much for sharing your wonderful talent with all of us!
You should get a fb page so we don't miss anything
I have one ;-)

Love it! Made one for my daughter, in purple! Thank you for sharing this gorgeous pattern!!
How u get so many subs? Oh wait I remember, your amazing at this stuff!
I just finished my version of your cocoon sweater. I love it. I made mine with 2 colors - a deep violet and a dark leaf green. I did 3 rounds of a colir and then switchedcto the other color and did 3 rounds and kept alternating like that. I finished the regular rounds with violet and then did the edging in the green. Even though it looks like an open weave, it is quite warm. Lovevit love it!!! Thanks so much..
SOUND PLEASE….
Hi again Annoo, once again you out did yourself.i love the easy pattern you did I'm doing it in a lovely lilac colour and I'm going to add a round of a pink colour.i can't wait to wear the sweather thanks again love your work and you. Happy crocheting to you
why can't i hear her speaking?
LettyLaLetty Hernandez deaf probably
Use the other headphone
I have the same issue
U can hear her voice only using left headphone
LettyLaLetty Hernandez I have the same issue on my iPad and iPhone with my headsets, however I used a different plugin headset it worked for a little while than I have to just keep turning the plugin till I hear her voice. It’s strange.
I love this pattern! I used it for a cardigan and used it to make a large blanket. For the blanket I added a fringe! love it!
I can't hear you, the music is too loud and you talk too soft...
Hi Deet, did you try without headsets? xoxo
Annoo Crochet Designs love this design. I plan to make this for sure. I do have to tell you though, that headsets only amplify the music.
Deet, if you're using earbuds, try only using one. I'm using my left bud, and have the right one out.
Love this making one for my daughter, it's so relaxing to crochet along with you.
I have made mine but it took me a lot longer than a day Thanks for this video and staying with us throughout . My first garment ever and I am so proud of it and I trusted you and just added a few more rows on the granny square and I did get the length ❤️😍🤗👍
I love and enjoy all your beautiful projects. I am looking forward to your next project. Hugs Anoo
So Pretty! I've never crocheted a sweater before. Think I will now!
Thanks Annoo first ever crochet Cardigan i made finally after a few hick ups, I enjoyed making it and look forward to another pattern of yours.
Oh my God it's beautiful and such a wonderful serene video to watch thank you so very much im going to attempt this this week for sure xx
Aydiemou Ulugun do you know how much wool you need to make it ?
Rebekah Hanson I'm really not sure as I'm in Uk and measurements are different but I'm in the process of making a similar cardigan and I've used 600g and it's just about big for a medium size, sorry can't be more helpful x
Aydiemou Ulugun I'm from the uk as well, I'm just doing a massive granny square and putting arm holes in it, I've bought 500g of wool
Rebekah Hanson I would do about 500g to 600g for similar size in video I think. Let me know how you get on ive just made a small one for my neighbours 6 month baby girl x
you are so sweet that now I want to see all your videos! Very calm voice, I enjoyed this vid a lot! Thank you!
I love this shrug, and all of your crochet projects they are beautiful very easy to follow I also made this and it perfect thank you for sharing 😊
I enjoyed this project so much, the color especially, very nice indeed.
Perfect surprise Christmas present. Perfect one day project, using an extra large hook with the same yarn, turning out beautiful! Thx for the pattern :-)
One day project? Something like that would take me well over 24 hours to make
This will be my first cardigan .Your work always put a smile on my face.Happy crochet! 😊❤🍁
