Well, the rumors were true, Keltec has created a new pistol in 5.7x28 that uses the FN PS90 magazine. It looks like its going to be an interesting one.

@xeepromx talking real life obviously. Sometimes people hit the target and it still doesn't drop right away. It's a high velocity but very small round. That's to say nothing of multiple targets. If you don't want it, don't pretend to be better than those that might. 🤷♂️

Lol! "Never buy a Keltec until at least 2 years after the model's release" was wise advice told to me by a real old-timer. It usually takes them that long to iron out the inevitable teething troubles. But after that, they're good! I own 3 different Keltecs and I'm happy with them all, but they weren't brand new types!
Good advice with all manufacturers really. I will try to get one as soon as possible to wring out any issues. I am hopeful that with simple blowback operation and a proven magazine function will be fine. We will see.

I have a su-16c and love that gun it's versatile can be compact cause it's a underfolder and has been beyond reliable
The ammo alone to fill that mag is gonna be more than the gun.
Hopefully popularity will bring the price down....once people stop panic buying anyway.

And not even for the "good" stuff which is apparently not available to civilian retail markets. I forget, is it the NFA which regulates AP ammo under .55 dia? I know anything over 50 is destructive device territory but from what I recall of the 7n6 fiasco, an executive order (possibly even an official atf "ruling") can suffice to put the kibosh on anything with "teeth"....

This is not the weapon SG-1 carried. That was a FNH P-90 which is the full-auto version.
@@tonynicholson3137 the P90 is a carbine tho and not a pistol, although as far as gun laws go carbines are considered pistols, so you can buy AR's and AK carbines that are a few inches shorter than the rifles and they are considered pistols in the eyes of the law. guns laws are weird tho, you can own and use gatling gun wihout a license aas long as it has the crank for firing the weapon like the older models did and not a trigger and firing pin combo which is what makes most guns require a license
@@King_Flippy_Nips A carbine is not a pistol. The P-90 and PS-90 are bull-pup rifles. I should know, I own 2. Also a carbine is any rifle with a shortened barrel.... Still not a pistol. If it designed to be shouldered, it is a rifle. PS-90 is a carbine rifle. P-90 is a short barrelled rifle which requires a tax stamp from big brother.

Been high cap "pistols" around for awhile.Not many,but the Calico 9mm held 50 rounds,the Calico 22 held 100 in a cylindrical top mag. Think there's a few others,can't think of them though lol.

Five bucks you have an easier time getting the pistol than the ammo. I haven't been able to get ANY for my PS90.
Bought a ton years ago for my 5.7 all ammo is way overpriced, and it's the retailers not the manufactures
Try thegunfood. Check back daily as the stock rotates quickly
Usually the black's know how to get this ammunition at a reasonable price. Ask your local black person.
Keep your eyes open. I saw a bunch of it at a store last week. They had just received it from the manufacturer.

My new concealed carry option (in TX they don't really need to be concealed).
In oklahoma they don't have to be either but the way I look at if you got a firearm hanging off your hip your a target that's just my view of it idk

@@MrKezzerdrix I should have said open carry with permit. In TX people with concealed carry permits are not required to conceal anything. There's no way I could ever conceal that thing, or edc it. Sure is a mad SBR with a brace on it!

finally got me a Ruger 57 back in December and the only problem is if you own any kind of a 5.7 x28, good luck finding ammo for it. I've checked gun shops all around and it's as if 5.7 x28 don't exist. That sucks.

Nice video. One of my favorite features of this caliber is the penetrating power. Some loads of this caliber have been known to go through level 3 body armo* with ease.

@@rodolfoperales1357 Chuck Norris had his own brand of Jean's for many years. It has a gusset crotch in it like Martial Arts Gi pants. He partnered with Century Martial Arts equipment. They were called Action Jean's and produced them since I was in martial arts for over 30 years. He used them in almost every movie and television show he did.

I've got one with the slide locked back. It should not lock back, and I can't get it to move. With that and rim lock on anything other than ball ammo, I'd tell them to keep the p32. The pf9 I had was a great shooter.

Looks good &all but getting ammo & how consistent is it is another thing? Does it jam,whats the cost?
Would be pretty sporty if they offered a brace that snapped into the two QD points.
I had the same thought when I saw the sling locations. Will be interesting to see what is developed for it.
@@CraigsGunChannel Saw a video saying they wanted to leave the aftermarket to deal with the brace design so that its better designed and developed. Also keeps them dealing with the ATF letters' unconstitutional stupidity.
Keltec is leaving that hornet's nest for 3rd party companies, since current regulations are nebulous and they don't want to have the elected idiots to try to stop ALL keltec production just because someone bought a pistol with a possibly illegal brace.
@@ghostbladev eh, its no more unconstitutional than SBRs. If you want to try to change the law then lobby for SBRs to be regulated as a pistol in the first place. (and anything longer than "X" being a "long gun") That makes more sense than complaining someone closed the loophole you were using.
Everyone who EVER bought a "pistol brace" knew dang well they planned to use it as a stock. There is a sizable part of the "gun crowd" that loves taking advantage of "loopholes" and thumbing their nose at "the man." This time it bit them.
I can't count the times I have seen a pistol "brace" used against the shoulder. But I sure can how many times it was actually used as "designed," (not I didn't say "intended" for a reason - we all know what was REALLY intended)

When I seen the pmr 30 I ran to the store when i tried to dump a mag I ran the to ups to send it back for them to fix the issues two and a half months later got it back had the same issues so I ran back to the store to sell it back to them, morale of the story is when u see a kel-Tec with a plastic magazine run the other way 😂😂😂😂🏃🏽

At a glance II was thinking they are making a .50 cal AE. It's going to use the FN P90 mag. The military dropped the P90 because the ammo is expensive, and a tripping hazard. It ejects the empties straight down on the floor in front of you. It's like trying to walk on marbles. You slip and shoot your team mate as you fall.

and a BREAK OPEN/partial disassembly is needed to reload/change magazine ...

In the 1980's I bought several Ruger 10/22's for $110.00 each throughout that decade. They were dead center accurate out of the box with a 10 round magazine.
I bought 25 round banana magazine for game hunting.
No game escaped my aim with that beautiful rifle.

does the weapon balance not change drastically as you empty the magazine?
While I unfortunately have not been able to fire it yet, I imagine that would be a real issue. With essentially all of the magazine capacity forward of the grip it would bound to be noticeable.

Looks like KELTEC took ques from (and hopefully improved upon) the Calico Weapons Systems that were produced years ago. The Calicos were innovative, interesting and showed promise at the time, IMO (especially considering the relatively meager resources Calico was operating on)

I agree, the magazines track record for the FN is vastly better than Calicos.
The Calico M950!! Yeah, I'll never forget how off the charts that thing was when it first came out.

unfortunately, right now it is very hard to get. I just did a quick search and it is still available from a variety of online sellers, but yikes, the price is not for the fainthearted. The cheapest was running $2.50 per round. If ammo prices on 5.7 don't come down soon I don't see Keltec selling a lot of these.

I was recently blessed to be able to fire the firearms for my own judgment and let me tell you what is the badass gun I've ever shot pistol
We need more companies to start making 5.7x28 ammo with more gun companies producing weapons to take that ammo, it's hard enough to find on a normal day and with the ammo shortage it's next to impossible
That is true, interest is increasing but the current ammogeddon makes it near impossible to find, and expensive when you do.
