      Any reason behind them trading up? Habs were strong before price went down see no reason to press reset, Oilers need that pick and won't get much from Montreal

    • @TacTixHD
      @TacTixHD  8 лет назад +2

      Need a big scoring forward, if price is right, I can see trade happening.

    • @mattyoblobber

      +TacTixHD we have galchenyuk who is our good scoring forward. I believe we will trade fucale and our first for Edmonton first and yakapov. I believe we will draft one of the defense man because a freshman is what we really need. all we really have is subban and maby Nathan but we need another one

    • @shayneletendre9451
      @shayneletendre9451 8 лет назад

      Im both oilers and habs i would love habs to go higher in the draft but oilers arent dumb giving up the 4th and yak, i think they could get a good player like suban or patches

  • @benstairs227
    @benstairs227 8 лет назад +13

    I'm a Montreal fan, I think if this ever happened, which it won't, they would add someone like Beaulieu sadly (they don't realize his value) or De la Rose (also are impatient and can't see his potential). Man I wish they could get Dubois though

    1) The Canucks take a forward, as there is no RHD in this draft who is worth taking at 5.
    2) Logan Brown would result in a gross log-jam at C in Colorado.
    3) If Brown isn't on the board, the Sens take Jost or Keller at #12.
    4 *THIS IS IFFY*) Someone, somewhere--might not be in the top 14--will reach and take Max Jones, DeBrincat, or Benson.

    montreal trades nathan beaulieu and 9th pick to edmonton in exchange for 4th overall pick. Gives edmonton depth young D that they need

    • @jadenderer1844
      @jadenderer1844 8 лет назад

      There's no way we're trading for Beaulieu. We need a #1 d-man if we want to make the playoffs next year. I say we trade #4 pick and Oscar Klefbom with Leon Draisaitl for P.K. Subban and #9 pick. Pierre-Luc Dubois can play wing so Montreal won't have to worry about having to many centerman.

  • @lukas187x

    OK, if you insist on the speculation, here is my take:
    The trade:
    Montreal trades their 9th overall pick, Alexei Emelin and one/two prospect(s) in exchange for the 4th overall pick from Edmonton.
    Analysis:
    Emelin's stock value alone will not cut it, so Edmonton might demand something more. The Habs already have their core players set, so the only thing they can offer are draft picks or prospects. I'm going with the latter, cause Edmonton needs quick fixes on their blueline, so they might want someone already proven in the minors than drafting someone they have to wait to prove the worth.

      I can not see that trade happening. Only defenceman that the Oilers would even consider is Suban. I don't think he would fit in to the Oilers system.

    also Carolina took Elias Lindholm at #5 in 2013, but generally agree with your point. For the most part your mock seems fair and reasonable. I personally don't see Vancouver taking a dman, Benning does like Juolevi but he suggested that he valued Tkachuk and Dubois higher in a radio interview today (inferred it) that completely changes your mock, in the process I think this allows one of the top 3 dman to drop to Colorado who has a major organizational need there opposed to centre where they're stacked.

    I think the chances of Dubois not going to Edmonton or Vancouver are pretty slim. Especially Vancouver because they could use another center and he is a very good one.

    Now, do you think that it's plausible that the New Jersey Devils would potentially trade the 11th pick to Boston for the 14th pick in exchange for RFA defenseman Torey Krug, as they are missing that adept puck-moving defensman and slotting down by a mere three spots would still more than likely be able to grab their guy?

  • @donovanarseneault5975
    @donovanarseneault5975 8 лет назад

    Montreal isn't looking for a #1 centre. we have Galchenyuk, and then Hudon who can fill in #2 when Plekanec is done, we need a winger or a defenceman who can fill in Markov's role in a couple years (Juulsen might fill that tho)

    Pretty solid mock. The only thing I could see being different is Defenseman Jake Bean sneaking up into one of the 10-14 spots. Although I'm really hoping he drops to Detroit at 16.

    oilers are going to want a top two defensemen for the 4th overall pick so if they were to trade it. It would be involving P.K Subban if the oilers involve RNH or Eberele

    As well, Edmonton needs a dman, Vancouver needs one, and Arizona needs one as well so it may seem Juolevi, Chychrun, and Sergachyov might all be gone in the top 7 unless some trades or weird picks happen

    In my opinion, the trade would be
    Edmonton Trades
    - 4th Overall
    Montreal Trades
    - 9th Overall
    - Montreal's 2nd round pick in 2016
    - Montreal's 2nd round pick in 2016 via Minnesota Wild (Josh Gorges Trade with Buffalo)
    - 5th round pick in 2016

    ottawa wont draft mcleod lol. they have zibanejad already slotted behind turris... mika is 22 years old and coming off back 2 back 20 goal seasons as well as getting 51 pts this year. we also have pageau, collin white coming, smith, paul. ottawa needs one of keller, brown, chychrun, nylander, or jost

      +Chris you never select a player relating to position. smart gm's will take best player available. a pick that late won't contribute till 2-3 years. a lot of roster turnover can take place in that time.

    Montreal trade makes sense, this will give the Habs need centre with size , the Oilers are stacked with young forwards, but I could see a blockbuster trade, could it be Subban, maybe, you need to understand Subban's contract is not the most cap friendly, so in essence they are also trading the contract, but this would be a win win trade for both teams, but who knows

    Well the coyotes do Seem that they have a young d but stone is only good for scoring Murphy will be with OEL,dalbeks roof is a 6th or 7th defenseman and the only prospect is 24 in tinorde and he may get to a 6th defenseman or a 7th d so the coyotes don't have many prospects at defense at all
