Any reason behind them trading up? Habs were strong before price went down see no reason to press reset, Oilers need that pick and won't get much from Montreal
+TacTixHD we have galchenyuk who is our good scoring forward. I believe we will trade fucale and our first for Edmonton first and yakapov. I believe we will draft one of the defense man because a freshman is what we really need. all we really have is subban and maby Nathan but we need another one
Im both oilers and habs i would love habs to go higher in the draft but oilers arent dumb giving up the 4th and yak, i think they could get a good player like suban or patches
I'm a Montreal fan, I think if this ever happened, which it won't, they would add someone like Beaulieu sadly (they don't realize his value) or De la Rose (also are impatient and can't see his potential). Man I wish they could get Dubois though
Watching this 10 months after the draft is interesting. Seeing where players actually went, the years that some of them had in the nhl this season, etc.
I used to play with claytons Kellers brother, Clayton used to come to some of the practices when he was a freshman. He was unbelievable, can't wait to see who he goes to.
1) The Canucks take a forward, as there is no RHD in this draft who is worth taking at 5. 2) Logan Brown would result in a gross log-jam at C in Colorado. 3) If Brown isn't on the board, the Sens take Jost or Keller at #12. 4 *THIS IS IFFY*) Someone, somewhere--might not be in the top 14--will reach and take Max Jones, DeBrincat, or Benson.
I don't think EDM will make that trade because they have 3 options to choose. 1. that number 4 Centre guy 2. that Finland defenseman 3. Jakob Chychyrun
Yeah but does Edmonton really need another prospect? Edmonton really wants to stop being shitty and get good. I could see them trading with either Montreal or even Ottawa. The Ottawa GM has said he wants to trade up and it seems like the only pick available.
+Desmond S but if they keep losing they will be a good team. they mainly need to get a Dman and trade with the canucks to get Ryan Miller. Then they will be aick
There's no way we're trading for Beaulieu. We need a #1 d-man if we want to make the playoffs next year. I say we trade #4 pick and Oscar Klefbom with Leon Draisaitl for P.K. Subban and #9 pick. Pierre-Luc Dubois can play wing so Montreal won't have to worry about having to many centerman.
I think edmonton will try to trade rnh or yak , eberle for a # 1 or 2 def . If no top Ds are available on the trade block , then they ll trade their pick for good young D with upside ( maybe beaulieu?)
ottawa wont draft mcleod lol. they have zibanejad already slotted behind turris... mika is 22 years old and coming off back 2 back 20 goal seasons as well as getting 51 pts this year. we also have pageau, collin white coming, smith, paul. ottawa needs one of keller, brown, chychrun, nylander, or jost
+Chris you never select a player relating to position. smart gm's will take best player available. a pick that late won't contribute till 2-3 years. a lot of roster turnover can take place in that time.
+Renegade1388 Maybe a three way trade, with Toronto and Edmonton. Toronto drops to 4th, Edmonton to 9th and Habs move up to 1st. Hey anything is possible with speculation.
the Oilers were apparently very interested in Sergachev so a deal like this with the Habs wouldn't have been that big of a stretch. however when Puljujarvi fell into their laps, all bets were off and i can't blame them one bit for taking him !
+nexushockeyHD actually you know what sorry for being a dick, it just seemed like they would have taken Keller to me. now that I think they do have a bit of defense but can always improve
OK, if you insist on the speculation, here is my take: The trade: Montreal trades their 9th overall pick, Alexei Emelin and one/two prospect(s) in exchange for the 4th overall pick from Edmonton. Analysis: Emelin's stock value alone will not cut it, so Edmonton might demand something more. The Habs already have their core players set, so the only thing they can offer are draft picks or prospects. I'm going with the latter, cause Edmonton needs quick fixes on their blueline, so they might want someone already proven in the minors than drafting someone they have to wait to prove the worth.
I love how every1 wanted Matthews but asoon as leafs all of the sudden hes overrated not as good as laine its all bullshit from alot of salty teams besides Winnipeg so happy for them laine gunna be a star and so is Matthews go leafs go
+Shane Holland Is that news to you? the Leafs are the most polarizing team in Hockey history, they have the most fans of any hockey team in history, you either love them or hate them, if the Leafs acquired Crosby and Toews they would suddenly be considered average players by the haters.
+F Dannn I think the Rangers would have something to say about who has the most fans in the history of the NHL given NYC has about five times the population of Toronto
Mark Kasniak LOL, Toronto is the largest city in the greatest hockey superpower the world has ever seen. It is the Mecca. Just look at how many NHL stars are from the Toronto area. There are way more Leafs fans than Rangers fans lol, what a joke, thanks for the laugh.
Habs get 4th overall pick- Oilers get Alexei Emelin D, Dalton Thrower D, Zachary Fucale G, and the 9th overall pick. For all people saying Subban for that pick, it will never happen. Unless we get Hall and Draisaitl, and even then, I wouldn't consider trading Subban.
I could actually see this happening, most realistic trade I've seen. Props to u, bro I'm gonna be speaking with Marc bergevin and kicking him in the balls if he doesn't offer this
laine is better than matthews but maple leafs need a center, matthews is perfect. theres no point in taking laine if you need a center. laine is getting picked second.
You're just saying that because you're a Montreal fan, and Toronto's getting Matthews.. He will be pretty good though, he's like a second Patrice Bergeron.
+ctsg15 I'm not a Montreal fan. And Dubois isn't similar to Bergeron. Bergy is a PK specialist and Dubois is good on the puck can skate shoot deke and defend penalties all at a high caliber level.
I definitely agree I think Matthews will be a yakupov he will be good but not that good Matthews I think is close to his peak but laine is progressing because he was supposed to go like 10th but he is now pushing Matthews and I hope he doesn't do good in the World Cup thingy cuz I want laine not Matthews
+Ryan B Matthews isn't a Yakupov. Yakupov is what you call a bust. Matthews is big, thick, and highly skilled. He's a playmaker, not a sniper, and his team won the championship in the Swiss men's league.
+Joseph Iannuccilli Personally I dont think the difference between 4th and 9th player is that big, so I hope we dont trade up but we will just cuz PLD is french. It will most likely mean we will be trading Our 9th, Beaulieu and a prospect/mid round pick for the 4th
Montreal doesn't need a #1 center though, they have Galchenyuk at this point who is easily a #1 center if he's given the ice time to shine. If he'd played consistently 17+ minutes a night all season and with Gallagher/Pacioretty instead of different linemates and restricted ice time, he'd have been much more dominant in terms of ice time. If they trade Subban they're crazy, he drives their offense and is one of the most dominant #1 defensemen in the league, easily top five... When you have a team that can compete right now for the cup with a healthy roster including Price, there's no logical reason to start a rebuild.
I think the chances of Dubois not going to Edmonton or Vancouver are pretty slim. Especially Vancouver because they could use another center and he is a very good one.
ok last year the bruins drafted 2 defencemen in the 1st round. tbh ii think there looking for a center/ winger because they already have malcom subban and jake zboril, jeremey lauzon, and someone else on defence
+TheFlowBros the canadiens have a great d core with subban and future in beauliveau and juulsen and dont have that offensivley. they need a #1 center and have since Plekanec started getting older. they need a center badly
+Matthew Fraser but did you see how bad the hands played without price in net. Your D just sucked and you guys relied on Markov who's a OFD and Subban and they can't do all the work
Yeah the yotes do need maybe one more center... I believe hanzal is still young enough but vermy is still solid for his age... I would say he's one of the best faceoff people in the league
The flames would take jake bean. He's an offensive defence man, something they need, a sure top 2 d-man for the future, and he's acquainted to Calgary playing for the hitmen.
I am a huuuuuge flames fan and I agree I think Nylander is the perfect player for our team. He was born in Calgary and his dad played for us as well so I don't think it would be a problem for him to come and play for us. The only problem the flames have is all they got is one really good line like sure we got Frolik and Bennett is ok and stuff but if u look at the really good teams we need to compete with they all got 2 super star lines.
Now, do you think that it's plausible that the New Jersey Devils would potentially trade the 11th pick to Boston for the 14th pick in exchange for RFA defenseman Torey Krug, as they are missing that adept puck-moving defensman and slotting down by a mere three spots would still more than likely be able to grab their guy?
I was actually thinking Montreal should trade for that pick! I have wanted dubois since the year started and i think the player that we will give up for that is most likely beaulieu, maybe a 3rd aswell but we will see what happens
Montreal isn't looking for a #1 centre. we have Galchenyuk, and then Hudon who can fill in #2 when Plekanec is done, we need a winger or a defenceman who can fill in Markov's role in a couple years (Juulsen might fill that tho)
pleky isn't getting any younger and we have our first center which is chucky. But obviously they don't know that hopefully now since his explosion in goals last season. but then again montreal knows how to fuck things up.
oilers are going to want a top two defensemen for the 4th overall pick so if they were to trade it. It would be involving P.K Subban if the oilers involve RNH or Eberele
Ya they do but I think chiarelli will be a tough customer and won't give it to them easy. My prediction is he will have the jabs gm cringing until he completely overpays for that pick
+Clay Koehler I don't know if moving up to draft a Quebecois is a great idea for the Habs. Imagine the unrealistic expectations the fans would put on him. That added pressure could hinder his play. Then again maybe he would play harder for Montreal because he's Quebecois and because they moved up for him. I dunno.
Yeah the oilers are going to trade their #1 D man and a top 5 LW in the league (plus a #4 draft pick) for a turnover machine with a contract bigger than Africa...
Montreal can't afford to be trading away nice, young defenseman like that! Without bealieu, they wouldn't have much defensively. Emelin, Markov, Petry, Gilbert are all over 30 and Montreal doesn't have that much coming up.
also Carolina took Elias Lindholm at #5 in 2013, but generally agree with your point. For the most part your mock seems fair and reasonable. I personally don't see Vancouver taking a dman, Benning does like Juolevi but he suggested that he valued Tkachuk and Dubois higher in a radio interview today (inferred it) that completely changes your mock, in the process I think this allows one of the top 3 dman to drop to Colorado who has a major organizational need there opposed to centre where they're stacked.
Pretty solid mock. The only thing I could see being different is Defenseman Jake Bean sneaking up into one of the 10-14 spots. Although I'm really hoping he drops to Detroit at 16.
As well, Edmonton needs a dman, Vancouver needs one, and Arizona needs one as well so it may seem Juolevi, Chychrun, and Sergachyov might all be gone in the top 7 unless some trades or weird picks happen
Mtl trades the 9th pick, Nikita Sherbak, and maybe a young D (Dalton Thrower or Darren Dietz), or perhaps a goalie like Michael McNiven, for the 4th overall pick from Edm.
+Nicholas Alzugaray I just can't think of anything else Edm would want (other than a player(s) Mtl wouldn't move, like McCarron, Subban, etc.), from the Habs. Realistically, the Oilers will probably keep the pick, and draft Juolevi or Dubois.
Maybe hall might have been too much? But as some point the Habs are gonna have to make big moves they just can't keep on relying on Price I still think he is the best Goalie in the world but at the same time he always injured and when he gets injured they entire team just shuts down.
+Jordy Ballance Completely agree. Canucks need that stud defense man though.. hoping JB has got something up his sleeves at the draft, maybe getting another 1st rounder to select a D.. We'll see though!
+kbthebeasthockeykid the trade will most likely happen since Edmonton don't need offense they just need defence so why draft so high when u can go down and still get a good d?
Oh yeah massively and i'm a bolts fan, but you gotta think Drouin pulling his weight again gives them options. Nothing stopping them doing a sign and trade
Who else is watching this in 2019 thinking it is all rong
Me
Me
2020 now
Its crazy to look back on these videos and see how things could have shaped up. You were right ln quite a few of these!
He was either spot on or horrifically wrong.
The Canucks really got shafted in this draft by dropping to #5.
I know😒
Yup 😒
I agree but at least we are still getting a great player at #5 unlike 2014 draft 🙄
+thomas stein Yeah I'm a bit concerned about Virtanen. I was really hoping they had take Nylander instead :(
RG W Virtanen is going to be awesome. he showed a lot of promise and to be honest im super exited to see him next season.
0:43 "the easiest pick of the draft"
1:19 "the easiest pick of the draft"
LOL
Hope you guys enjoyed the mock draft! And the trade isn't real... yet ;)
Any reason behind them trading up? Habs were strong before price went down see no reason to press reset, Oilers need that pick and won't get much from Montreal
Need a big scoring forward, if price is right, I can see trade happening.
Yeh but they're a contending team they need starting talent not future talent surely, free agency?
+TacTixHD we have galchenyuk who is our good scoring forward. I believe we will trade fucale and our first for Edmonton first and yakapov. I believe we will draft one of the defense man because a freshman is what we really need. all we really have is subban and maby Nathan but we need another one

Toronto may take Laine based on his performance in the IIHF in Russia. Laine is 6'4" and is a ovechkan.
Toronto have needed a good center for a while now, so I think they're still picking Auston Matthews
+BULLOCK hahahahahhahaa
I can't recall who or where this was said but I remember hearing that some fee Laine could be the next 60 goal scorer....
If I was the owner of the leafs I would take laine
And Matthews may be Toews.
Watching this 10 months after the draft is interesting. Seeing where players actually went, the years that some of them had in the nhl this season, etc.
All top three picks are "the easiest pick of the draft" lol.
+Bes It can be 50/50 between Laine and Matthews, and after that it will be other 50/50 between puljujaervi and laine/matthews, so its not that easy.
Couple years later, it was
Jesse Puljujärvi is not swedish
He born in Sweden
+SlapperZ yes i know
+Pylly- Keisari so that is Swedish idiot
+mariner fan no he is finnish, stop calling people names and get the fucking facts straight.
+Pylly- Keisari Suomenruotsalainen
Tkachuk has gotta be 1 of the best players in the draft, he has played amazing.
I used to play with claytons Kellers brother, Clayton used to come to some of the practices when he was a freshman. He was unbelievable, can't wait to see who he goes to.
1) The Canucks take a forward, as there is no RHD in this draft who is worth taking at 5.

4 *THIS IS IFFY*) Someone, somewhere--might not be in the top 14--will reach and take Max Jones, DeBrincat, or Benson.
Yes to all
It's Tkachuk or Dubois for Vancouver
Agreed. But for 3. McLeod also wouldn't be bad centre to grab at that spot.
lol we took a defenseman, yaaaaaayyyy..... i really wanted Tkachuk
zack keller Too bad. Juolevi will be a solid pro, regardless.
Looking back on this so glad cbj didn’t take puljujarvi.
You guys should watch McLeod highlights. Not the BEST hands but very fast with poise
+Desmond S best canadian forward in the draft, I think he's more well rounded than Dubois
Yes I agree actually want the Habs to get him, he's my favourite player in the draft, fell in love with him half way thru the season
+Daniel Habs his teamplay and hockey sense are lacking. A shittier Larkin basically.
Dam it's wierd watching this in 2020. Lol
nah 2024
I don't think EDM will make that trade because they have 3 options to choose. 1. that number 4 Centre guy 2. that Finland defenseman 3. Jakob Chychyrun

coyotes are taking a defenseman no question. no way they are taking a forward this year
Lol
@@Revonite96 ....well I wasn’t wrong
@@centralhockey12 You were kinda right but they did end up taking a forward with the 7th pick
I live where Dubois plays and I hope Montreal picks him up because he is a sick player
I can't believe two players I use to play with are being drafted this year, Logan brown and Clayton Keller in St. Louis.....
laine is like ovi shoots so hard and same place as him
and better than matthews
***** i know
He's not better than Matthews lmao
make another one for 2017
Boston will clearly take someone ranked after the 2nd round.
Edmonton: 1st round pick, Jordan Eberle and Nail Yakupov to Montreal for P.K. Subban and 1st round pick.
Fuck no
we will never trade subban. but I say fucale and our first for yakapov and their first
+Andrew Weiss seems fair. I'd say maybe add a third round pick on Montreal's side.
+Nate Cheech possibly . but I do see us moving one of the goalies at the draft
+Nate Cheech I agree but it wouldnt be eberle, it would be yakupov, RNH and the first round. Which i hate cause RNH is my favourite hockey player
montreal trades nathan beaulieu and 9th pick to edmonton in exchange for 4th overall pick. Gives edmonton depth young D that they need
+Jaden Derer that would never happen
+Jaden Derer subban is the face of Montreal they won't trade him
+Jaden Derer That is the dumbest trade I have ever fucking heard in my life.

+Kulraj Singh Jost is better than Mcleod, plus Left wing is a need for us. Scouts aren't confident that Mcleod can produce at the NHL level
Imagine if MTL actually made that trade xD
+Renegade1388 wait they didnt actually make it happen?????
+Matthew Fraser no
+Renegade1388 Maybe a three way trade, with Toronto and Edmonton. Toronto drops to 4th, Edmonton to 9th and Habs move up to 1st. Hey anything is possible with speculation.
yeah i wish but no. just no
the Oilers were apparently very interested in Sergachev so a deal like this with the Habs wouldn't have been that big of a stretch. however when Puljujarvi fell into their laps, all bets were off and i can't blame them one bit for taking him !
i REALLY hope the Devils take Keller, you're exactly correct
lol Colorado does NOT need a Centre . they'll be taking Keller sorry buddie.
just because somebody mainly plays center doesn't mean you have to play them there
+nexushockeyHD they need defense thats what I'm saying .
Colorado does?
+nexushockeyHD actually you know what sorry for being a dick, it just seemed like they would have taken Keller to me. now that I think they do have a bit of defense but can always improve
OK, if you insist on the speculation, here is my take:
The trade:
Montreal trades their 9th overall pick, Alexei Emelin and one/two prospect(s) in exchange for the 4th overall pick from Edmonton.

I can not see that trade happening. Only defenceman that the Oilers would even consider is Suban. I don't think he would fit in to the Oilers system.
nylander is RW not center
McAvoy is the best defenseman in that draft and it’s lucky Boston got him
Jets moved up from 6th but I agree with your draft but the trade ;)
Dude Tac sounds so different lmao
I love how every1 wanted Matthews but asoon as leafs all of the sudden hes overrated not as good as laine its all bullshit from alot of salty teams besides Winnipeg so happy for them laine gunna be a star and so is Matthews go leafs go

Michael Capece hahahahaha let me geuss jets fan hahaha go leafs go am34 for calder babs for jack adams

MTL: RNH, 2016 1st, 2017 2nd
EDM: PK Subban
+Paul Igel I don't see Montreal giving away their #1 defensemen, I'll be shocked to see his name on the block.
+Ze1andonly McManus you never know, they need a shake up
+Paul Igel ik but price will be back so I don't think it's time to completely rebuild.
I hope Boston take Luke Green
Brad Marchand Charlie McAvoy instead, x10 better.
can you do one of this for the last pics in the first round
Laine-Lay-a-ney
I think it will be MTL 1 round + another pick and Fucale to Edmonton for the 4th overall pick and either Yakupov or Eberle
Ur amazing @TacTixHD
Maybe Beaulieu their pick and a second for the Edmonton pick?
fucale as well
+mcguigan1to10 Thats too much... Without Fucale it's a good trade.
+TScorpio Fuacle and the #9 pick for the #4 pick?
+ctsg15 I was saying fucale instead of Nathan
ok
i think patrik laine will be 1st (my opinion
He's better player than Matthews and look at his achieves
laine is better but leafs need more matthews;)
laine is more flashy maybe but he's definitely not a better player. regardless leafs need a 2 way center above another winger.
Laine is better but center have more value.
laine is better than matthews but maple leafs need a center, matthews is perfect. theres no point in taking laine if you need a center. laine is getting picked second.
Olli Juleovi will not go 5th... Benning said that he would like to pick the best player available at 5
Col wont be drafting a center
+Jordan L Tru they have enough
+Jordan L I just hope we get one of sergachev chychrun or juolevi
+Aiden yeah ik and thoughts are going thru my head that Laine may be a better fit cuz we need a big winger
Matt Hargest we aint getting laine hes going second lol
when do you think Clayton Keller will be NHL ready for New Jersey?
I live where Dubois plays and I can say. he will be better than Matthews
+mcguigan1to10 I live in Saint-John and got to see him in the playoffs It would not surprise me if he is better then Matthews
You're just saying that because you're a Montreal fan, and Toronto's getting Matthews.. He will be pretty good though, he's like a second Patrice Bergeron.
+ctsg15 he has been compared to the style of joe sakic more scoring and a little less defense than bergeron
+ctsg15 I'm not a Montreal fan. And Dubois isn't similar to Bergeron. Bergy is a PK specialist and Dubois is good on the puck can skate shoot deke and defend penalties all at a high caliber level.
A 30th pick can pan out better than anyone in the top 10. Never know what, how and will the future holds
Habs have their #1 centre but need a big power forward winger so there is that
Jets easily won the lottery. I think Laine will be better than Matthews
I know right, saw some highlights of him and his shot is insane
I definitely agree I think Matthews will be a yakupov he will be good but not that good Matthews I think is close to his peak but laine is progressing because he was supposed to go like 10th but he is now pushing Matthews and I hope he doesn't do good in the World Cup thingy cuz I want laine not Matthews
+Mr Fukufuji people really don't realize how good Mathews is. Laine will be great to buy don't judge players on their highlights
Maybe
+Ryan B Matthews isn't a Yakupov. Yakupov is what you call a bust. Matthews is big, thick, and highly skilled. He's a playmaker, not a sniper, and his team won the championship in the Swiss men's league.
Maybe the Habs could give the oilers Emelin and maybe someone else like Gilbert along with the #9 pick
+Joseph Iannuccilli Gilberts a FA
+GOHABSGO 31 Ohhh alright. Maybe Beaulieu or Juulsen then? More likely Beaulieu.
+Joseph Iannuccilli Personally I dont think the difference between 4th and 9th player is that big, so I hope we dont trade up but we will just cuz PLD is french. It will most likely mean we will be trading Our 9th, Beaulieu and a prospect/mid round pick for the 4th
Holy shit your picks look bad now lol

Ryan Walters sadly they traded for Weber. I'm a habs fan and Weber had a monster shot so I'm fine with it.
Ryan Walters *has
Nathan Beaulieu, 3rd round pick, and the 9th for the 4th pick? I could see something like that happening
Who do you have Philly taking?

Yeah the yotes do need maybe one more center... I believe hanzal is still young enough but vermy is still solid for his age... I would say he's one of the best faceoff people in the league
I was hoping for the jets to get tkatchuk because they had his father but now it I'm more than happy with laine
Didn't Matthew tkachuk grow up in Winnipeg?
+Ryan B no Matthews grew up in Arizona
+Mr Fukufuji he's talking bout tkachuk lol. Not Matthews. Read it
+Mr Fukufuji he's talking bout tkachuk lol. Not Matthews. Read it
+Brendan H no I'm pretty sure tkachuk lived in Arizona for a bit
Does anyone know the date when the draft is airing? And what time? Thanks and cheers from Finland.
where did u take the information where the montreal canadian pick 4th overall by a trade ?
Where'd you get the software that you're using to display picks on the screen
The flames would take jake bean. He's an offensive defence man, something they need, a sure top 2 d-man for the future, and he's acquainted to Calgary playing for the hitmen.
I see Bean sliding to 12. He's got great offensive upside, but he isn't that good in the defensive end
How did you get your background (draft board)? TacTixHD
You don't think Calgary will take Nylander? We need a RWer to play with Gaudreau and Monahan
tkachuk is a winger although watching them both I'd say nylander is better . also has not as skilled tmates (marner and dvorakvs McLeod and Bastian)
Beaulieu a second and their first for Edmonton first and RNH maybe at that point Montreal would add in a third if RNH was going over
true I completelly forgot
Montreal isn't looking for a #1 centre. we have Galchenyuk, and then Hudon who can fill in #2 when Plekanec is done, we need a winger or a defenceman who can fill in Markov's role in a couple years (Juulsen might fill that tho)
The Montreal trade would include Edmonton second round and Markov and Emilen
No they are both really old and edmoton wants a player with more then 6-9 years left ij the NHL.
+L Reed and Markov may retire before next season
Lmao no that would not be the trade
isn't the draft taking place in Chicago this year?
No it's in buffalo
+Dominik 236 ah alright
"Montreal is looking for that number one center" montreal has Gally, Pleky and hudon in the minors....
pleky isn't getting any younger and we have our first center which is chucky.
Do you stream on twitch?
The habs REALLY like Pierre-Luc Dubois. He is québécois and he has the grit and size the habs REALLY need. I think they will try to get him tbh
Ya they do but I think chiarelli will be a tough customer and won't give it to them easy. My prediction is he will have the jabs gm cringing until he completely overpays for that pick
+ReTrO ViBeZ I'm hoping Bergevin is smarter then that. If he overpays, we should ask for his head!
I dunno.
Dubois, Montreal, why not? But no.
Maybe hall and klefbom are added with the 4th for subban and the 9th
Subban is great but his contract is killer especially since we have a lot of players that need to be signed.
Yeah the oilers are going to trade their #1 D man and a top 5 LW in the league (plus a #4 draft pick) for a turnover machine with a contract bigger than Africa...
+Bgokce92 yeah maybe they try not to get subban but a cheaper top 2 dman
Montreal trades Nate Beaulieu, Tomas Plekanec, 9th pick and 3rd round pick for Jordan Eberle and 4th :D
Beaulieu, 9th and 3rd for 4th seems fair. Edmonton doesn't need Plekanec and aren't throwing in Eberle unnecessarily for him.
Montreal can't afford to be trading away nice, young defenseman like that! Without bealieu, they wouldn't have much defensively. Emelin, Markov, Petry, Gilbert are all over 30 and Montreal doesn't have that much coming up.
I highly doubt Montréal has the trade pieces for the 4th pick. But I do see them trying to go after it though.
Pk and a second rounder for 4th overall maybe?
i would love if jost went to the canes but i have a feeling hes probably going to go in the top 10
No way Edmonton passes on Chychrun. Vancouver will likely take Nylander, Arizona will find a way to get hometown kid Matthew Tkachuk.
Played with logan brown in a camp in vierumäki
really good, dude. gj - just wish you did the rest of the NHL, too!
also Carolina took Elias Lindholm at #5 in 2013, but generally agree with your point.
MTL gets the 4th pick from EDM for the 9th pick and Thomas Plekanc(I might have spelled their name wrong)
What about bean
Watching this before the 2017 draft be like "Yo, We got Puljujarvy! We weren't supposed to ether!
I thought it was William Nylander not Alexander Nylander?
Nick NYR Fan then u dumb
Alex is William's brother
Nick NYR Fan lol 😂 there brothers
Pretty solid mock. The only thing I could see being different is Defenseman Jake Bean sneaking up into one of the 10-14 spots. Although I'm really hoping he drops to Detroit at 16.
As well, Edmonton needs a dman, Vancouver needs one, and Arizona needs one as well so it may seem Juolevi, Chychrun, and Sergachyov might all be gone in the top 7 unless some trades or weird picks happen
Did the Canadiens actually trade for the 4th pick?
Mtl trades the 9th pick, Nikita Sherbak, and maybe a young D (Dalton Thrower or Darren Dietz), or perhaps a goalie like Michael McNiven, for the 4th overall pick from Edm.
god this has to be the most Montreal favored trade I've ever read
+Nicholas Alzugaray I just can't think of anything else Edm would want (other than a player(s) Mtl wouldn't move, like McCarron, Subban, etc.), from the Habs. Realistically, the Oilers will probably keep the pick, and draft Juolevi or Dubois.
+Tom Tajti Montreal would be incredibly stupid to do that
LOL! Obviously, but if a trade were to happen, I predict it going something like this.
What the hell is with the Edmonton and Montreal trade!
Why the fuck is pirre Luc Dubois is with MTL
[E9C] Sergant Major Of Marine Corps Josh price no he was predicting what would happen
WalrusGamer oh ok Thanks
this was awesome! thanks for making this!!
How possible is a Subban-Taylor Hall swap?
Not at all. It makes sense, but the gms won't take the risk
not gonna happen with how good mcdavid and hall played together at the WC's
+Mark S Subban's just not as good as hall
Maybe hall might have been too much? But as some point the Habs are gonna have to make big moves they just can't keep on relying on Price I still think he is the best Goalie in the world but at the same time he always injured and when he gets injured they entire team just shuts down.
+Mark S nah man, you don't know what you're talking about.. you're probably a guy who would trade mcdavid for subban because "he's a #1 defenceman"
Benning said he would take the best prospect available, would make more sense if Edmonton took a defenseman and the canucks got Pierre luc or Tkachuk
+Jordy Ballance Completely agree. Canucks need that stud defense man though.. hoping JB has got something up his sleeves at the draft, maybe getting another 1st rounder to select a D.. We'll see though!
I'd be very happy if my Sabres took Chychrun
+kbthebeasthockeykid well ya know the Sabres have a higher pick then them
+ProfessorChaos3 ummm that trade was fake Edmonton has 4th pick
sabres need top 4 winger before they add to their defensive core
+kbthebeasthockeykid the trade will most likely happen since Edmonton don't need offense they just need defence so why draft so high when u can go down and still get a good d?
I’m from the future this year you will be getting dahlin so yeah
You think the maple leafs will give up their first for Stamkos?
No no no no stammer will go to FA, why trade for his rights!? If he hasn't signed now, he isn't at all
That would suck. But Yzerman said Stamkos wouldn't be going anywhere on his watch.
Oh yeah massively and i'm a bolts fan, but you gotta think Drouin pulling his weight again gives them options. Nothing stopping them doing a sign and trade
owen nah, but you clearly have something missing using that as insult. Heard of a sign and trade?
They wouldnt do that stamkos will want to much money to just be traded
A.Nylander plays C? I thought he was a winger.
+J. Kelly He's a winger for sure
Dubois to MTL PLZ
