The canon drone should connect to your R1x and FOLLOW you wherever you're shooting, focus on the same subjects you're AF is focussed on photographing, especially face detection synchronization (or follow yourself for BTS footage). THAT would sell.
Agree it is just what somebody wanted from the R1. If Canon were able to do the R1X then it is what the R1 would have been and it will probably happen in about 10 years.
I'd bet my bottom dollar on Amazon workers being the first wearing snake-cams. They already have a bunch of tech in the delivery trucks that assess "points" every time the driver is doing anything other than working. Don't know how many points picking your nose is worth, but it's probably fewer than pissing in a bottle.
The 1 series always have odd MP numbers so if it happens maybe 58mp. I honestly think they came out with the 24mp so that next year they can come out with a 38mp R1x and people won't complain since it's at least better than 24. Because if the R1 was 38mp I think people would be disappointed. By letting us down with the first one, we'll just be happy with anything better after 😆
I think the R1’s will be 50 megapixel with all cross type auto focusing points offering slightly better 8k vidio specs than the R5 2. I Think the R3 could get the Global Shutter and would be different from the R1 because of the drawbacks of a Global Shutter but at the same time having advantages 😊
Canon has a patent for internal filters. Tne R1 and R5 has some of the recent patents in it that have been revealed. I think canon is finally inventing stuff for their real cameras.
IMO Canon should focus on their C series to wrestle back from Sony before doing a C version of the R1 or R5. The ship has sailed on the R1 and R5II. It was not good product planning. Cramming and releasing a “R1X” that will no way be anywhere close to the wish list soon makes no sense. Spend more time and R&D for a revamped R1II and make it the pie in sky “R1X”. If it means they won’t update the R1 any time soon, then so be it. It’s in ways a R3II so the sports/journalist target audience will be well served for years to come with the R3 and R1. The A1 is setting the pace for flagships, so Canon knows exactly the lengths it needs to go to beat it in order to restore consumer confidence that the brand still has it to compete with a thriving R system and RF mount. R1II needs to be a big leap forward from the R1.

Canon, 90% of the people disappointed in the R1 was not about to buy a R1 anyways so Canon, you're good.

ND filter inside of that is not impossible. My fujifilm x100 has an internal ND filter.
