Man... When I first did this my brother literally watched me for an HOUR FIGHTING THIS GUY. One of my favorite super bosses in an jrpg game. I hope more others take suit from this.
@@97dusk Prompto isn't so useful here. It's better to have Armiger or AU or lightning magic. Basic Armiger is good because you can get a chance to do cross chain on Omega MG with 99999 damage on final strike.
@@КонстантинПаршуков-о6б Actually, there's a spot behind a fence, between two dead trees, where you can place Prompto and you won't even be touched by 90% of what Omega throws at you. It takes much longer than other strategies as Omega moves around a lot and you have to aim exclusively for its antenna (until you temporarily break it), but it's the safer method for someone who may not be as prepared or confident. And, if you get lucky, Omega may just end up bugging out and get itself stuck while using this method, which means you get to tear it apart without being attacked at all (I've only seen this happen once though, so I wouldn't rely on that happening consistently). I used this strategy twice, the second run taking me about an hour and 30 minutes while the first took two hours. Again, it takes much longer, but it's the safest approach. Also, I mentioned Lightning magic and AU in my original comment, so I'm not sure why you're repeating it when I clearly already know... Yuri Stormeye not a scarab sadly...more like a cricket with those back legs and the way it walks.... *edit* on the note of spider. Spiders are expensive to animate as they do not walk in a typical fashion and depending on the spider it could be discontinuous movement.
Have ya'll even looked at the original FFV sprite in a while? The only major difference is that this one has bulkier hind legs, pretty much. And more importantly, have you even seen the FFXIV version? This one definitely does not look "exactly" like it. O_o

I honestly thought lvl 99 was the max And I saw I close to lvl 99, I thought i was ready (i was not) so I went in the regalia and looked for the omega weapon. found ot and spent 2 hours fighting, the only damage i was doing was with armiger true form :l
Its moves are slow and damaging but its easy to dodge the issue is there arnt large enough windows inbetween attack for you to infict much damage and dodge and this this is already a damage hog
My personal theory is the scientists of Solheim created it, or at least this version of Omega. Given the game's backstory how much you wanna bet someone got the idea to invent a super-weapon capable of slaying the gods that blessed the civilization and decided to brag about it? Sounds like a pretty good reason for Ifrit deciding to destroy the same civilization he helped build.
Omega is a dimensional traveler like Gilgamesh. It's probably the same one from XIV and V (although slightly different looking). I doubt it was created by anyone in XV. The Allagan Empire in XIV couldn't even figure it out and they could imprison gods and create floating continents.
Lore in XV indicates that this Omega is a creation of Solheim, with the intent to slay/harm the gods, though it also has the capability to warp in and out of our dimension.
that is a possibility, though i wouldnt be surprised if it were like Gilgamesh in XV, different entities, that share the same name. Or if it does turn out it originates from XV overall, that would mean Omega was mass produced in Solheim's growing advancements, with other variants ending up in different worlds all together, im not entirely sure however.
You can actually learn about it in the game by reading scattered documents. This is an ancient weapon made by the Solheim civilization, when they tried to defy the gods. It never had the chance to be activated, because Ifrit retaliated by raining fire upon mankind and then the Great War of Old happened, marking the destruction of Solheim. Millenias later, Niflheim somehow managed to find the dormant machine and tried to study/activate it. In the reports, the Niflheim scientists mention the unique and unknown metal the machine is made out of, and how nothing seems to be able to damage it. Eventually, they had to give up on the project because most of their team had died, Omega being built with some kind of automatic security system that prevents anyone from getting too close, even when in its "sleeping state". I don't remember what happened next, but here it is, in all its glory, roaming the streets of the fallen Insomnia.

From what's been shown so far it seems to be the same concept, but existing in the XIV multiverse which seems to be somewhat isolated but parallel to the greater FF multiverse. There's many dimensions within the XIV multiverse and it even has it's own void, but all these dimensions follow the same rules as the player's dimension, whereas in the grand FF multiverse the rules can be anything the individual game entails.
Each iteration of Omega is the same. All of them have the goal of hunting down and destroying each timelines iteration of Shinryu. In some, like ff12, "Shinryu" takes a different form or is a separate being entirely, in this case Yiazmat. I think ff14 is the only iteration where they've actually visibly fought.
Old comment but may I ask, why the hell would you want to fight him AGAIN???? Took me damn near a hour to beat him and my 99 elixrs became 10 and my phoenix down went from 70 to 50

Lol you can't compare any Omega from any FF to FF14 Omega. I mean, by lore, cutscenes and what not, Omega from FF14 is without a question the strongest entity in all of the collective and combined FF realities. The fact it can create things out of nowhere including life without any limitation to their powers (just like he brought exdeath, kefka, his old nemesis midgarsorm at his prime, and chaos) makes it a beyond god like tier threat. Also it can create entire dimensions/universes and while you are in his domain you have "existencial permit" meaning that if he so desires he can wish you out from existence itself, and much more stuff. Omega in fight is way beyond this omega for obvious reasons, mechanics are pretty nasty (at least in savage mode) and Omega has other forms like Omega Male and Female and ultimate Omega. This FF15 omega and the rest from the series basically is : This is a god like machine made to destroy the gods, aka the final bosses and espers.
FF15 omega is, at least lorewise, one of the strongest entities in its universe. The only things that properly damage it are Royal Arms, which are exclusive to a single living being in the planet, and thunder elemental attacks, which only very few entities can dish out. It can also warp space-time, reconstruct itself after being disassembled, survive 10000 years or so and the end of the world without any functional damage, and potentially kill astrals. Not to mention it could probably do more if Solheim hadn’t been destroyed (their space-time warping stuff was getting more and more advanced). Its only real flaw is being unable to hurt the Astral’s magical formes and being unable to cast magic, but its incredible resilience makes it an absolute threat to their physical bodies. I’m pretty sure Ardyn wouldn’t be able to kill Omega, which is why he leaves it alone.

But thats why i wanted the battle against it to be harder ^^ Cauz Omega Weapon was allways hard to beat, even if you know how to beat him. But in this FF it was just getting the power up and after that he is so just so easy :/

You kill him in the distance with the star and electro magic ++ 999 Final Fantasy XV is definitely not a key-mashing game. it has a lot of intelligence. In other final fantasy, magic, they give you for free, not here, you can do really powerful things that are not just the level and the character's armor is good for an RPG. Cooking and fishing are also important.
I didn't get this boss fight? Really weird, on Cerberus also, Cor never appeared for me. I got the rulers of Yore (3 past Lucian kings), but never Omega. What could be the reason?
first fight i thought "wow, atleast 1 ff element in this game, omega seems strong!" after getting AU "omg this is not omega weapon" so sad i hoped at least for 1 true fight in this game :( But the music in the start is still pretty great and gives some omega feeling ^.^

it took me a bit to realize that it was weak to the royal arms when i was fighting him
Jose Padron not really weak it's just that the Royal Arms bypass any resistances and do normal damage every enemy is weak to the Royal Arms
Well, it's more like Omega is "only" resistant to the Royal Arms, with his immense defense simply ignoring anything else.
Chesse and Rice i was on edge with this boss when the fight began. Also final time 40 minutes fighting Omega.
Ran into him by accident. Was fighting that dude for 3 hours and I felt like I only gave him a few scratches lol 😂.

No. But you have NG+ so you can fight it again. BUT!!! You can't take more, than 1 Rare Metal.
