Just after watching this video made me realize that I need to figure out what my skills are for building a portfolio on ArtStation. I mean I got my artwork down pat and everything… but so does knowing what kind of skills you do have. This means I’ve have so much to learn, and a lot to figure out hopefully. 🤔
we can cooparativwe if
you want
Thanks for the video! I like to think of it this way: Instagram serves as a sort of portfolio where you can market yourself for free. On the other hand, ArtStation is meant for your professional portfolio, providing a more in-depth perspective and serving as a resume. Combining both platforms could be the best approach you could take!
your videos are underrated! I was shocked when I saw your sub count
Thank you very much for the support 😁👍
Just a guy doing what he loves & helping people out
Coming to the video tips and BAM D2 is running in the background. Had to sub. Lol. Good on ya Guardian.
haha thank you very much, sadly I had to quit the game for good, taking too much of my time
the editing goddamn
Thank you very very much ❤️
Let me just.... sneak this in my back pocket-
No one cares but I saw my boyfriend's art peace in here and it was such a jumpscare, lmao.
thanks a lot dude
Question:
What size of the canvas does ArtStation accept.
I usually work on a large scale so if I can just upload the file as it is (3000-3000 pixels) with out tempering with it that whould be great.
They can handle Big image files, no problem

thanks! Interesting and funny!
😉👍👊
the way you talk is lit
Nice video
Thank you, Gib :)
I must be stupid. I've done all the steps in the video, but I have no portfolio showing. I keep uploading artwork but I never get a portfolio tab next to the "about" tab. How do you turn on your portfolio so it is visible?
that is very weird, shouldn't be the case, 1st time hearing something like that.
Take note that u have set projects to published in the "publishing options on the right side right above thumbnail
There's no menu to create albums on the left side of my "Manage Portfolio" page in Chrome. Does anybody know what could be causing that?
hmmm weird, it should be there unless your browser window is too small
@@RextonWendell
No, it's just a weird thing that only happens in chrome for some reason. I can use other browsers fine, but I was curious what's going on with that.
Hey amazing video, i just want to know what happens if i have both 2D and 3D artwork, that goes from character or props design to environment art ? also if i handle various styles (stylized, realistic, etc)
Is there a problem if i try to upload that ?
Hey thanks!
Those options are just like filters that makes it easier for others to find your work.
I personally would suggest that u put it as 2D/3D based on which workflow u used the most in the project
@@RextonWendell Thanks to you! your video helps with a lot of things!
Only this dilemma is what still keeps me thinking, I want to upload my 2D and 3D works on whatever topic they are (but of course just some of "the best") but I am worried that it could affect the portfolio if it is not as consistent in a single theme or style as only characters or weapons or only stylized or realistic and so on as some people say
if i want to upload my 3d model which is a zip file , how can i do this ? it only allows me to upload images
Hello, You can render your 3D Models & send images.
If you want people to view it 360 view. U can upload it through Sketchfab
Nice vids, but i want ask something how i upload my art with good resolution since im not subscription artstation pro?
Thank you!
You don’t have to subscribe to upload high res images
@@RextonWendell cause artstation pro can upload 4K, i want to show detail my art
@@kesura7273 if you’re really looking at 4K, then I guess that’s the only way
Note that extreme high res artwork uploads are also not always a good thing, that makes it easy for people to steal
@@RextonWendell oh i see, many art thieve gonna steal our art and sell like "NFT Art" whatever it is. Cause i see an artist have some problem with that thieves, they steal art from artist without permission and sell it in NFT market.
What's the game you're playing?
Hey, it's Destiny 2. Don't play it, robs your life away
Yeah, I get about 12 views. Out of 12 views I'll get maybe 1 or 2 likes. But if I got say 1000 views, my likes would be more like 100 maybe 200? But no, I always get 12 maybe 50 tops. Not sure how I get more views other than posting it all over the place.
The SEO on ArtStation for their website hosting is absolute garbage.
Literally nobody sorts by latest to look at art.
Do you? If so I'd like to know why you like looking at garbage.
