I'm surprised this video hasn't been made before, so I decided why not make it myself! Also, DAMN SCREAMER YOUR VOICE IS ALL OVER THE PLACE
Starscream's first appearance: Episode 1 "More than Meets the Eye Part One"
Starscream's last appearance: Episode 80 "Ghost in the Machine"
Funny how he starts and ends the series with treachery...
Once he entered the afterlife, Starscream's inner Cobra commander started to show. XD
Not really since he sounded like a less raspier Cobra Commander in the Movie before the 3rd season when he was still a robot...

Eh, it's more like the gradual evolution of Chris Latta developing his Starscream voice.
I'm pretty sure his voice sounded like that before a few times in earlier G1 episodes. Think it depended on the situation. Plus the voice actors did multiple character voices so switching over may not always have been as smooth as they wanted.
His voiced changed in season 2 as well, not quite the high potched screamer from tje movie and third season episode though.
I can't recall other episodes but on episode one Chris also voiced Reflector. His voice was almost the same as Starscream.
The problem is that his va kept getting arrested for various things
So the other vas had to fill in for him
If memory serves, Chris Latta started having issues with drinking and recreational drugs at that time.
He became Cobra Commander after death.
No, he sounds this way in the 1986 movie as well.

Tom Kenny's the only worthy successor to Chris' Starscream voice.
All the others were awful, Dobson's was the worst, like grating fingernails down a chalk board...

I really miss Chris Latta as the original Starscream and Cobra Commander voice! His voiced would've sounded aged but still bad ass if he was still alive! R.I.P 🌹

Unicron was unwise in his decision on *permanently* granting Scream his old body back (I'm saying old because that's really what it is for Scream. He didn't get a new form like Galvatron did; Scream basically just got brought back to life, no alterations). I was just thinking that if I were Unicron and I just granted Starcream, or anyone else in his similar position, a new body, I'd have rigged the body to self destruct in about 2 mins in case I were to tricked by them, while also giving them enough time to complete the task if they were willing to do so.
Yeah, it's kind of weird that Starscream didn't get a new body. The way he didn't get a new form and wasn't seen again in the cartoon probably had a lot to do with Hasbro; His original toy wasn't on shelves anymore and the next one was still years off, so there was no reason to keep him around and no reason to design a new form for him that wouldn't be made into a toy. That said, it's also strange that Unicron didn't just torture Starscream into submission like Galvatron in the movie.

I guess Galvatron managed to get his hands on Starscream and killed him yet again with the other Decepticons cheering on Galvatron as he does the deed.
Also when Unicron gave Megatron his new body as Galvatron, he also had control over Megatron & could inflict on him. Why didn’t he just do the same thing with Starscream? “Connect it or it will hurt.”
You could not reformat Starscream. Truly was a breakout character, but Mega/Galvatron kept him in check somehow.
I love Starscream in G1 - he may not have been as characterized as well as he was in future shows like Armada or Animated, but G1 Starscream was evil like no other Decepticon was. He even had the guts to roast the destroyer of worlds, and after he got his body back, he never got hit by Galvatron as he was flying out into space.
G1 star scream was far more respectable than the other variants he would try to attack megatron head on

No one of any talent should have to be linked to those sad abortions. I'm amazed they managed to keep dragging Peter Cullen back, given how well he knows Prime and how much of a bastardisation of the character those scripts have produced...
TechbotALPHA Voice actors still aren't paid nearly as much as they should. So I can't blame Peter for continuing to accept his role as Optimus in Bayverse even if each new installment keeps messing up his character. But honestly, I'd rather hear him reprising his role as such an iconic character on the big screen to anyone else.

Which makes you wonder: Is Megatron insane enough to keep a pathological betrayer next to him or is Starscream's personality the result of years and years of Megatron's abuse.
We know that Starscream was somehow a good guy before joining Megatron's cause. And even after very much time in Megatron's troops he still cared about his old friend Skyfire.

For some reason I admire Starscream's untrustworthy nature. I think it's because he's useful in overthrowing tyrants. Starscream sticks it to the man every time he gets a chance.

In season one Star Scream voice was a tad bit less whiney, but from season two on his voice was much more whiney, so I feel what you're saying!

However, regarding content Chris Latta used several different types of voices for Starscream until he got comfortable with one. During Season 1 you can hear him try several variants depending on the episode until he was settled on one when Season 2 started.

I like his earlier voice better. The later voice Latta used was too much like his Cobra Commander voice.
Not gonna comment on the voice because when he begs, Starscream does sound like CC, BUT, UNICRON'S head is way too small! Going by this scene, he's more like the size of one of the city bots, not a planet eater.
Starscream and CC were voiced by the same guy so it makes sense

Usually the two characters sound distinct, if slightly similar, but when he's screaming in this video, he definitely sounds like cobra Commander, which is fine, since it's the same guy, which is why I didn't focus on that aspect of the video.

The funniest part about this is that I don't think Starscream died when Galvatron shot at him at the end of the episode, so I think Starscream is just drifting through space all by himself now. 😂
Ya he sounded like a mix of Cobra Commander and Reflector early on. Later on it was more similar to pure Cobra Commander.
It's a real pity that Starscream's revival was the last episode he appeared in the G1 Transformers series. I would've loved to see him attempting to get his revenge on Galvatron for killing him shortly after his coronation. Maybe even have Starscream get tormented by Unicron via telepathy for betraying the Cybertronian God of Destruction.
Plus, it could've goven Starscream a bit of closure as to what happened between G1 Transformers and Beast Wars. If I'm not mistaken, there was an episode where Starscream's ghost inhabit the body of Waspinator, meaning that he had to have been killed off again after his revival. Shame we never had a chance to see that happen.

Those were both clearly the same Starscream actor, at least to me they were. I've watched these episodes many times since a child. I would be surprised if they were different voice actors.

Does anyone think that Chris Latta doing the voices of Starscream and Cobra Commander sounds like the lead singer from AC/DC? Seriously, listen to Starscream or Cobra Commander then listen to the vocals for Thunderstruck.
I think while recording this episode Chris Latta had forgotten that Starscream and Cobra Commander have slight differences in their voices and forgot to use his Starscream voice here.

Yes. It's just a plothole due to this episode being Starscream's final appearance in the G1 cartoon.
So they took away his robotic filter. Also speaking of voice changes Unicron and Ultra Magnus. I know it's different actors all together but still Unicron doesn't even sound close.
Roger C . Carmel was the voice of Unicron in this episode and Grimlock's new brain.
And he did a fairly good job impersonating Orson Welles imo.
