I had my first child at 40. My husband noticed the blood in the catheter too, my mom was in the room and they knew something was wrong. Thank God that the nurse and doctors who acted fast...I was losing blood and pretty fast. I was in and out of consciousness...they wheeled me back into surgery. Thank you God for the opportunity to see and raise my little girl.

I nearly died giving birth. I lived to tell my story by God’s grace. I checked in around 4p bled internally until 145a. They only did an emergency c-section because my baby stopped moving. I fought for my life. This is a real thing happening to women. I haven’t lived a normal life since.
I had our last child at 38 via emergency c-section. I did leave the hospital, but 1 week to the day I gave birth I had to be rushed by ambulance as I woke up to nurse my 1 week old baby, I laid in a pool of my own blood. Luckily my mom who was there spending time with us is a nurse at Emory University Hospital immediately realized what was happening and called 911. My husband was in a complete state of shock with all the blood lost he saw. Anyway, 2 blood transfusions, emergency surgery and 4 day stay in ICU I made it back home ALIVE! They claimed I had an aneurysm on my uterus. I had a 1 out of 3 chance of surviving. My doctor was very negligent when cutting me open he nicked me with the scalpel and almost killed me. I had doctors and nurses from differ areas of the hospital come to see me because they were in disbelief that I lived. My blood was purple, meaning my blood level was a 5 and the danger level is a 6. I was dying! The worse feeling I’ve ever experienced in my life. I don’t speak often about it, but please speak up! If something like this has happened to you please speak up! It may save another woman’s life! ✨❤️
Glad you made it through. But I think the big issue is that they are using C Sections predominantly on BW even if they are healthy like her. And it's not bcse it is needed but bcse they can charge more. That's why I think they get up in arms when BW have their children at home. Then they try to take the baby away or use fear tactics to ensure you goto the hospital the next time. I personally think it's a traumatic experience for the baby bcse they weren't intended to be birth that way. That should be the last resort.
My last pregnancy they nicked my bladder as well during my c-section. My doctor was a black female. She caught it and I had great treatment. I feel horrible about her daughter in law and the many other families who’ve gone through the same.
Same. That was a deal breaker. A BLACK WOMEN OB/GYN was my first and only goal when researching and choosing a physician to care for myself and unborn, now six year old healthy s🌞n. THEY do not care for US properly. The judge did well here!
@@BlackStump172because studies have shown that non-black doctors often ignore the symptoms of black patients, ignoring our pain, and not believing us when we share what we are experiencing. Respectfully, if you would’ve taken a moment to search Google Scholar, you would’ve found several scholarly research papers and articles provided that show significant and extensive research on this phenomenon and why many Black people have chosen to seek out black doctors for this reason. Studies have shown, we literally die as a result of doctors who do not listen to or believe us, and lack empathy when it comes to black patients. So, to answer your question: this is why color/ race is a factor there. This woman was given subpar care and ignored.
@@BlackStump172nothing. So many black people think white people are racist and it couldn’t be farther from the truth. They have nothing to back it up with either. I guess it’s something they’ve been taught but it is they who are the only ones keeping racism alive today!
@@kumiriley5602 she was pointing out what a great person she was. Weight is blamed for a lot of things but malpractice and negligence isn’t one of them.
I'm tired of the medical complaints of black women not being taken seriously. I too know someone who died shortly after giving birth. On one hand, my heart breaks for this family, on the other hand, I'm glad Judge Hachett is using her voice to bring awareness to such a gut-wrenching topic. We don't feel pain any differently than other patients, nor are our bodies any more resilient than others at the hand of incompetent hospital staff.
Yes, I have a friend who lost her sister who the medical professionals did not take seriously when she told them she could not breathe while giving birth and she died. It was senseless.
It happened to me too sweetie. Also, one of my babies was dropped on video. See my eyes and skin? 🤦🏻♀️ No one gives a f about anyone, really. Ya'll think it's you, but it's *them.* I work in medicine, and so does my family, we're the types that *actually* care and we wouldn't *dream* of caring less because of someone's *skin.* I just now had to count which of my clients were not vvh×te and I literally didn't notice how many weren't until now. It was many and I loved them all as much as possible and took awesome care of them equally.
@@chelleweatherspoon2226I have a friend who lost her sister from bariatric surgery and they have blonde hair and blue eyes. This is a problem with not caring about humans.
That’s crazy because the doctor nicked my bladder during the c-section with my son in 2018. Thankfully, they noticed right away and fixed it. I lost a lot of blood and had to get two blood transfusions. 🙏🏼 to the Hatchett family and all families that have lost mothers due to hospital negligence.
Glad you are okay. This is so egregious! This woman was left to bleed internally for hours. I hope to God they got a multi-million $ settlement, but NOTHING can replace a mommy. 😢
Giving birth, whether vaginally or via C-section is in and of itself more than some realize. It’s so sad and utterly ridiculous that women can’t go in healthy and come out safely because of NEGLIGENT healthcare providers. They’re the opposite of what they supposedly stand for. My prayers are going up and my heart goes out to Judge Hatchett, Charles and those precious children. Thanks so much for sharing your story and for advocating! 🙏🏽❤️
My daughter was on the childbirth floor where every woman during labor and delivery suffered complications. I stayed with my daughter and son-in-law and raised the banner for right treatment. She survived, but not without an adverse outcome. Parents, stand in the gap for your daughter and family.
This is so common. After Judge Hatchett’s daughter in law passed. A Black Doctor who gave birth in Indiana suffered the same neglect. She was a Doctor! So it’s really bad!! It maybe late , but it’s getting the attention that is needed. Prayers for Judge Hatchett and her family!🙏🏽
Absolutely no doubt about this, too many times I’ve heard Doctors and nurses saying oh they’re on Medicare or some sort of assistance, and they assume this about people of color, and we receive shite medical care. I remember having a back injury, and the first thing a Doctor told me was I was not receiving any narcotics. I was dumbfounded, I informed this devil I didn’t want narcotics, I wanted my injury treated.
@@richelleverootis5822 It is horrible, my late mom was a nurse and two of my daughters are as well, I've heard horror stories, even a few of my Physician's admitted it, the Hippocratic Oath means nothing!!!!!
I was traumatized during my first C-section when the white surgeon and anesthesiologist ignored me when I repeatedly told them my stomach was not yet numb. The surgeon rushed along with the surgery and I very painfully felt the burning long incision, every stretch and pull to get my daughter out, and each and every stich to sew me up! 😢😡 My family doctor kept apologizing to me for the bad experience she witnessed and his "lack of bedside manners" (the C-section was not planned). It started off bad when he stuck his fat finger into me to check how far my cervix had dilated right at the obvious height of a strong contraction! I was scarred from that horrible experience and don't think I would have been treated so inhumanely if I were not a Black woman!
I feel the same. This story is terrifying. I’m grateful that she’s able to use her celebrity status to reach so many. My heart cries 💔 for her family and so many others.
This happened to me after my last c-section. I started urinating straight blood a week after leaving the hospital. Went to the ER and was checked into the hospital. They said the Dr bruised my bladder. Thank GOD it cleared up and I’m alive. This it’s heartbreaking.
I'm so sorry. I believe my mom and dad were neglected in 2022 and 2023. They died seven months apart in the same hospital. I couldn't get the Drs notes on my mother due to disagreements with my family members. I'm still hurting and don't trust most doctors. So sorry for everyone who has lost a loved one due to negligence. ❤
Thank God attention is now being brought to the inhumane treatment of Black women surrounding this issue. Continued prayers to Judge Hatchett's family.

So sorry to hear about what happened to Judge Hatchett's daughter-in-law. I'm thankful that almost 52 years ago an alert doctor figured out quickly why I passed out when the aides got me up the morning after my son was born. I still remember her saying, "She's hemorrhaging!" and immediately got to work on giving me blood. They gave me blood for 2 days straight. I was so sick that when a baby nurse brought my son in, the doctor told her, "Take him back. She can't have him now." Thank God for major oversight now bc of the efforts of Judge Hatchett and her son. 🙏
50 years ago had better health professionals and health disparities were not as high. They now teach DRs to treat the majority of the USA population they care nothing about others
Saw her son speak about this. He was awesome and honored his late wife with this story. Grown men were crying in that room. Everyone should hear him speak. It was absolutely heartbreaking
Absolutely unacceptable- he should lose his medical license. The money will never be enough, but it may help the family push forward. My God continue to comfort and hold the family, especially these two little boys.
Judge Hatchett was/is one fantastic lady! My son and I came before her when I was trying to get custody of him. His birth mother had passed away and his father was not a very good parent. His line of thought was that the kids were big enough to take care of themselves, which they weren't!! Judge Hatchett gave me temporary custody. She was very polite, and, she made us feel comfortable coming before her. I am so grateful to her for that!
It would be so awesome if we had another few dozen of Judge Hatchett's across this nation! Can you imagine the difference it would make? She's most capable and compassionate, what an inspiration.🌺

Black woman here, had 3 c-sections in northern Japan and also felt like we weren’t taken seriously. The first baby was 11 pounds (5kg) and it wasn’t until I started loosing consciousness that my husband getting angry that they went & got the doc. I did give him a piece of my mind in patois between my contractions.
Literally had my stomach cut open to remove a cyst the size of a grapefruit (emergency surgery) and I was being discharged the hospital doctor told me she would only give me two days of leave from work. I asked for another opinion and the doctor and nurses were all nasty to me. Go in for my follow up a week later and I tell her, an Indian woman, the pain I’m in back at work and she is LIVID. She said I need to take off work immediately because it takes 6-8 weeks to heal from my surgery. I woke up during surgery. Had root canals that were so painful I wouldn’t go back to the dentist for 10 years. I’m very careful about my providers now.
I remember this, I was pregnant with my first son when this happened. I cried to my husband to please don’t let them kill me. I eventually had two C-sections and told my husband I’m done! This woman was educated and most likely had insurance, so this isn’t something that only effects the poor. Some of these medical professionals really think the black body is capable of taking more pain than anyone else. It’s sickening how they disregard black women’s health.
Educated or uneducated, over-insured or underinsured, overweight or in “perfect” health, a “rock of a woman” or just one getting by….these doctors see us just the same. I appreciate her using her platform to bring awareness, but there’s no point in mentioning all of her accolades going back generations. The bottom line is, something needs to be done.
This issue needs to be talked about more and more and more. With all these incompetent medical staff I'm afraid to get any type of surgery. I hope to not ever have to need it.
I had a friend who died after child birth. She was feeling really bad and the doctor and nurses said this pain she was feeling was normal. She said no, something is wrong. Two hours later, they finally took her to get imaging but it was too late. She died because the doctors and nurses thought she was drug seeking. Her death was devastating to her husband and daughter. I lost my friend and it changed me for sure. This issue is not just a problem for people of color, my friend was white. The problem is that our nation's Healthcare system is broken. Doctors and nurses are over worked and because of that they can become rushed, which leads to medical errors or worse they just stop caring for the well-being of their patient and only care about getting paid. I can only image how difficult being a doctor is, but no one should be a nurse or doctor because they care about making money. (Edit- one other issue is the for-profit hospital system, if you need proof of this, look at the salary of most hospital administrators. Average is $256,000 but can easily be much higher. Hospitals should not be for profit, they should be for promoting healthy outcomes for their patients.
@TheShellybaybee It is sick how many women die from childbirth. Women shouldn't have to worry about death while bringing life into the world. Look it up. Here in the USA, more women die during or immediately after childbirth than in Afghanistan. My friends death had such a profound effect on me that I decided not to have any biological children. Thankfully, my husband understood my decision. As my post stated, hospitals should never be for profit. The fact that they are structured that way is scary to me. I avoid them like the plague.
No one wants to say the obvious which is many drs are unqualified to BE ses bc of incompetence. They really don't know what they are doing and/ or they are not very good at what they do. I have personally seen and experienced drs give my kids the wrong diagnosis KNOWS that they were LYING. I even forced a Dr to tell me that he didn't know what he was talking about. Over the decades, the standard of medical care has been consistently ERODING and ppl who are old enough to see the difference can attest to this. It is just a fact of life. I for an initial visit to see an GYN once and was immediately told to remove my clothes. I said NO. I told them I would nIt remove my clothes and be examined in the FIRST VISIT bc I didn't know the Dr and I may not even have liked her so why would I ever do that. Des think they are the experts when it comes to the patients when it is the other way around Patients are the experts on themselves. Drs are just taking educated guesses when it comes to patient care bc no two patients or cases are alike ever.
Yeah I do feel like a lot of them are overworked and take a lot of cases they're not supposed to. My wife got sent almost an hour away from home and at first the doctor told us to find a new office because you could tell she didn't want any unnecessary cases. Slowly she warmed up to my wife and after delivery came by many times to check on her. The nurses would comment that they had rarely seen her show so much care to a patient. She had to make the call for an emergency c section, it was my wife's first baby, but it was the right one. She healed up really great now almost a year later. It's sad to hear that not everyone gets good care and treatment .. we were blessed with a beautiful boy and I often think about every person involved at the hospital, even the nurses who handed him to me that I only met for a few seconds. They all seemed so happy for us.
My condolences to you Judge Hatchett, your son and grandson's. Your right, no amount of money will right the wrong done to your daughter in law. God bless you and your family!!!!!!!!!
Definitely negligence on the part of the hospital, the doctor and the entire staff who ignored their pleas for help. Anytime there is blood in the catheter (at least a significant amount), there is a problem. Just wow! Prayers to the entire family particularly the husband and sons.
I’m so hurt about the loss of Kira and the painful hole that it’s left in her family’s heart. Especially her two sons. But I’m grateful for the fight that Judge Hatchet and Kira’s family endured so that other women wouldn’t have the same fate. Kira didn’t die in vain.
This exact thing happened to my Daughter, 10 months ago. They left her in labor too long, before taking her in for an emergency C section, which they botched. She lost Souch blood, after the C section, they had to immediately do a complete hysterectomy to stop the bleeding. The Doctor's admitted to nicking her, and acknowledged how close they came to losing her! So very sorry for your loss.
This is horrifying…… and to think this has been going on for years is heartbreaking . No one should have to endure this kind of abuse and suffering ……hopefully this case will shine a light on the matter and this injustice will cease.
Judge Hatchett, I’m so sorry for your loss,it is horrific! There are no words that can express the pain that this has caused your family. I too was butchered By an orthopedic surgeon in Tulsa ,Oklahoma having a right hip replacement and was left with a leg length discrepancy of about 1&1/2 inches. I now walk with a limp and a cane. Because of this now I need a left hip replacement due to the imbalance in posture and gait. I approached the hospital administration and their “ Tisk Management department sent me a bogus letter saying that the Dr did nothing wrong and that the surgery went well. I had never had an unequal gait in my life until this surgery in 2021. No responsibility was ever taken because I’m A Black Woman in Tulsa, Oklahoma. No other Drs will correct it and no attorney will call me back on it. At least your case will have some recourse. Mine was totally disregarded. God bless you and your family because I know whatever was done to acknowledge and address the wrong you al suffered and are suffering is never going to be enough nor will it ever be forgotten. No amount of financial compensation could Ever Come Close to Compensating your loss.
Oh no …. I am so sorry this happened to you. I had a spinal fusion done a few years back and when they did that they also shattered my pelvis which was the beginning of many years of pain I still deal with. I know that our black community has gone through terrible treatment but it does happen to some of us white women also. It just seems as some of these doctors feel they are better then us and if a “little” mishap occurs … well it’s no big deal. You having a shorter limb, my broken pelvis… when it happens to us lawyers won’t help because they know the doctors insurance can afford the lawyers and us little people cannot. My heart goes out to Judge Hatchett’s family for being able to peruse this and change things. My thoughts are also with you. I’m so sorry this has happened to you. Sending love 💕
I work as a postpartum, and antepartum nurse. Sometimes I want to message patient and prompt them to read their charts because they can sue for neligence and malpractice. I cant say that because if I do this, I have violated HIPPA and of course the patient will mention my name and pull me into it. I have seen where DRs have let a black patient's baby die and do everything under the sun to keep white patient's babies in utero. I have seen where minorities have only 400mg of Ibuprofen every 8 hrs after having a C-section. Thats major abdominal surgery!!! People get mistreated because pf obesity... babies born not breathing because of prejudices towards obese pts. I know that some of you will ask why not report it to the higher ups that can dp something about it, but If you think hospital administrators are going to side with the nurse that could help their organization get sued, its not going to happen. One of the problems is, that they want to hurry up and send you home too early after a C Section in three days. My Grandsons wife went through this too! She kept complaining about how she was in pain. My daughter suggested to them to give her antibiotics before she left the hospital. Well she had to come back. She passed out, and she started hemorrhaging. My daughter and Grandson rushed her back to the hospital, and they had to give her blood. We believe that they also nicked her bladder too!
The problem is that they do not believe that black women experience pain, they do not provide adequate attention to black women when they complain, and they do not hold Black women and babies as valuable commodities.
When I gave birth to my son. I nearly died. I had a c section and lost a substantial amount of blood in the OR. Afterwards I was in pain....They said it was normal. C-sections are big business for the hospitals and everyone involved. There’s all of the extra fees that are involved with this type of surgery that is more profitable than a simple vaginal deliveries. I never thought anything about it until my ob-gyn left town. She told me directly from her mouth, she had been blacklisted with our hospitals because she refused to do them unless absolutely necessary. How sad it that? It is disgusting. Money. Money. Money.
@@chocovanille5809 , blacklisted because she did not schedule and perform enough csections to bring in better dollars for the hospitals she used for deliveries. I believe her stats were well under 10 percent.. it IS something to be mad about. Surgery makes it more dangerous than it should be. Harder to recover. Your milk comes in much later if at all. But it’s big dollars for the hospital. Health care is a joke to me now. Truly.

Me too ❤
I had our last child at 38 via emergency c-section. ✨❤️

I am so glad you made it! What a scary thing to go through!💝
I'm totally in shock to hear women are dying from
C-sections!! WTF??
😢❤l
Awesome! I had 2 black female ob GYN s as well. We need them so much
Same. That was a deal breaker. A BLACK WOMEN OB/GYN was my first and only goal when researching and choosing a physician to care for myself and unborn, now six year old healthy s🌞n. THEY do not care for US properly. The judge did well here!
What has the skin colour to do with this case ?
@@BlackStump172because studies have shown that non-black doctors often ignore the symptoms of black patients, ignoring our pain, and not believing us when we share what we are experiencing. Respectfully, if you would’ve taken a moment to search Google Scholar, you would’ve found several scholarly research papers and articles provided that show significant and extensive research on this phenomenon and why many Black people have chosen to seek out black doctors for this reason. Studies have shown, we literally die as a result of doctors who do not listen to or believe us, and lack empathy when it comes to black patients. Giving birth, whether vaginally or via C-section is in and of itself more than some realize.
Women, especially of color are often disregarded and dismissed, and ignored! My Aunt died during childbirth.
This is horribly accurate and it is disgustingly horrible. I cant speak for all hospitals but as a former nursing staff at one i saw this myself.
Absolutely no doubt about this, too many times I’ve heard Doctors and nurses saying oh they’re on Medicare or some sort of assistance, and they assume this about people of color, and we receive shite medical care. I was dumbfounded, I informed this devil I didn’t want narcotics, I wanted my injury treated.

Unfortunately, I did, and I'm paying for it to this day.

@latenighttalkwithbabymoma7700 What when mothers kill they bsbies?
Asked her about ptsd
They always think black women are lying. Kaiser told me that I just wanted to get off work, mind you I’m an Human Resources professional
I think nurses and doctors are psychopaths and sociopaths and they get off on people dying.

I came close losing my life after a C Section 22 years ago God forbid ! Tradergically High morality rate of giving birth in the US !!!! They keep it silent & out of the news !!!! RIP beautiful mom !! So grateful the family is speaking out to raise awareness !!!!
When I was giving birth to my first child , I almost lost life as well . Right after I gave birth to my child , I started feeling super cold and weak. I couldn’t even hold my babies into my arms . I kept saying that something is wrong , but all of the nurses kept saying that my reaction was normal. But, my brother in law insistence and determination to talk to my doctor was God sent because it turned out that I was having a reaction caused by lack of blood. According to my doctor , I had bleed a lot during birthing and he had left instructions to he nurse to put me on blood transmission. Which they failed to do :(
This old is crazy !
This is such a heartfelt story that I have heard many times through different media outlets over the years. Be your or your families advocate in healthcare and always ask questions and be insistent on being heard.🙏
I've watched this woman's court show since Day 1 she has a genuine care for people and animals! To see this pain on her face right now is breaking My heart to lose family member that way traumatic 😥😰
This is what HEALTH DISPARITY LOOKS LIKE AND SYSTEMIC RACISM.
I agree I work in healthcare and it's extremely racist
But according to everybody, it doesn't exist. Remember, we're supposed to just forget about everything. I even fear conceiving because of this.
@@nobodyreally777 that concern is seen among other woman of color. This makes me sad and angry. Because we lack representation in the places that set the policies that affect us, this continues to be an issue. I pray that you will have a family without those concerns. Blessings.
They released me 3 days later and I was in and out of the hospital for months. Im so sorry for Judge Hatchetts loss. It was avoidable. If the people who are suppose to care for patients would just learn to LISTEN!
If it wasn't for my family and I being in nursing...We Saved Our Mothers Life. We Told Them What To Do...🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Sincere condolences to your son and your entire family. I pray that your grandbaby is doing well. 😔
Prayer for the family.Keep fighting may your daughter n law R.I.P 🙏🏽🙏🏽
This is a horrible situation and very common for Black Women. You have a better chance of surviving birth in the developing world than you would in the USA.
Always using the race card...it's worn out and no one is listening to your lies anymore.
Very true. So sad this is happening in a country like America. 😢
and im in A DEVELOPING WORLD, (Southeast Asia) FOR THE PAST SEVEN YEARS AND I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT'S TRUE ASF! And that's damn shame!
Women in Africa do not die like this in childbirth. They are killing us deliberately. I left having my babies in a different country. America is😮sick people 😮
@@DaddysDarkWhispers This is why I tell people to stop looking at America through roses-colored glasses. America is a tough place. It is a pressure cooker. It is The Hunger Games! Don’t be fooled.
I wish I could say this was just this hospital. It's not. Something has changed with health care clinics, hospitals etc., they don't seem to care, or feel a sense of urgency when something is clearly wrong with patients in their care.
I am a NP and have been in healthcare 24 years. I am so ready to retire. Healthcare has gone downhill. Everything you said is true. The "care" left healthcare a long time ago.
Corporations don't CARE about people; they value money. Corporations are not people too. We just want them to be.
I agree that things have changed
It's been this way for a long time and when COVID hit I think that made it 10x worse
What a great heartbreaking and informative interview.👍
I am so sorry that this was allowed to happen. It is horrendous. It never should have happened. My heart breaks for you and your family.
Very good information. My condolences for the loss of your daughter in law.
Peace, Comfort and Strength to the family🙏🏽
They messed with the wrong family. I hate they had to go through this, but I’m grateful they are doing something about it❤
Thank you for bringing this to light. 🙏🏽🙏🏽 I am so grateful that my c sections went well.
Bless you and your family!!!
Thank you Ms. Hatchet for your work!!!
The same thing happened to my Sister and Niece we lost both of them due to hospital negligent
It's unacceptable
Wow. Sad. My condolences to you and your family.
So, So, Sorry for your loss. This made tears well up in my eyes. I lost my sister, and I raised her daughter from a baby. She is 24 Years old. She had a healthy little boy, 3 years ago. She had a C-Section, due to numerous Urinary Track Infections throughout her pregnancies. Long story short. She stayed in the hospital for a month with 2 drainage tubes in her stomach. I could write a book, but I’ll stop now.
💔Thank you Judge Hatchet and her son Charles. 💐💚Prayers for healing for you and the family.
Was the doctor’s license to practice, revoked permanently?
Exactly 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Unfortunately No! He was barred from practice for 2 years & is now back to practicing as OB-GYN again.
Thank u for covering this! It is absolutely disgusting how they treat POC in the hospitalsAND nursing homes!
People, please continue to fight, voice your opinion and call your local health dept to report these facilities!
Someone needs to be held accountable.
What a terrible tragedy. I can't imagine having to live this story.
Wow I've seen him speak before about his wife and their sons but didn't realize this was his mother/ same story until I googled it. They have had the platform and are using it to make a change❤ she must've been so special to them 🕊
I've seen some crazy things as a nurse, birth attendant and doula. I believe them. If there was blood in the catheter, there should have been immediate follow-up.
Heartbreaking, I lost a very good friend almost eight years ago, after her third C-section and tubal ligation. Her three, small children were left without a mother and had to be raised in separate homes, life isn't fair.
This story makes my heart ache in so many ways!!! Thank you for continuing the fight!
Yes, it's been a long, long time coming. Well done for using your platform to make change for the good. Condolences to family and friends of all the women lost giving birth.
Healing for the Hatchett family 🙏🏿
Sad story pray for the family.
I admire the courage that you and your son are still rallying and championing the cause for kiera. She is happy that you guys still care after all this time
Thank you and God Bless you and your family for your advocacy and the care you show for families.
Thank you for speaking out through your family’s pain, Judge Hatchett.
I've been following Kira's story for years!!!! Absolutely devastating and heartbreaking!!!
She is such a sweet, gentle woman, and I can only believe her son Charles, is just as kind, and I'm so very sorry for their loss and their pain. And I'm terribly sorry, especially, that a moment that was supposed to be filled with such love and joy, turned in to one of such agony. God Bless each of them.
Prayers for the Hatchet Family ❤️🙌
My daughter had an emergency c section and the staff laugh and played around while I was out side the O. R. They left a sponge in side of her for 8 days in the hospital. I asked why was she in so much pain and running a fever. I was told after a C. Section of was normal. They sent her home that way. As a result of there neglijects . My daughter had to have a hysterectomy and several surgeries. Her bladder was sold to her stomach she still now has problems. I'm praying for Judge Hatchett and her family.
Thank you for this interview.❤️💗❤️💗❤️❤️
My heart goes out to your family Judge Hatchett. Thank you for all you have done to get this in the spotlight and hopefully help other families from going through this. I send my best to your family, to your daughter-in-laws family, your grandsons and your son Charles. You have done amazing things Charles. I wish you peace and happiness.
I was on the floor, unable to sit up without excruciating pain and the nurses came to give me discharge papers!!!
It took my doctor husband coming to talk to the doctor before they listened to me.
The stress and grief really took a toll on her physically and mentally. Praying for her to have peace regarding the loss of her daughter in law. 🙏🏽🕊
Yes. I can see it and hear it in her voice. It really pained her.
Thank you judge Hackett. I am so sorry for your loss but thank you and your family for going for this is helping other families. Thank you so much
I’m so sorry they had to experience that 😔 My dad‘s first wife died after having my little brother. Childbirth is not always so wonderful🙏🏾💝
Cedars sucks. I sat in the emergency room for 8 hours before I had a seizure then they took me in after 8 hours!
This was such a terrible thing to have happened. Too many time the care for women especially those of color fall on deaf ears. I went to high school with Kira and she was truly one of a kind. She could light up any room with her infectious laugh and beautiful smile. My prayers continue to go out to her family and friends..
Thank you judge hatchet for bringing this to the forefront. Sorry for your loss to bring the change.
MEDICAL RACISM against African and African Diasporic Women is a thing especially when pregnant and during delivery finally Newborns are also at risk
Thank you for sharing your very sad/unfortunate story.
Being a BLACK WOMAN is so SCARY 😢
So why birth more?
Until something changes…it’s a major gamble.
🙄
Exactly
And exhausting 😮💨
@@KP-hv4tt stay mad
I love you Judge Hatchett! ❤ So very sorry for your family's loss.
Praying for peace for all of you. Amen! 🙏🏾💓🙏🏾
Thank you for getting the word out with the transparency of your testimony and the execution of action towards righting this wrong for other mothers moving forward
So incredibly sad! Praying for the family.
God bless you Judge Hatchett for coming forth with this information and praying for you and your family.
Money. Money. Money.
Wooow talk about evil!!Why would they black list her? Because she was not billing enough?!!! She should have lawyered up. Im so mad
Truly.
@@ItsMeHello555 thank you for explaining it to me. This is why healthcare workers become bitter because they went in it for a good heart but did not know what is waiting for them. No wonder surgeons post cases that need not to be performed
@@chocovanille5809 , you are square on the money about some health care workers and not knowing what is on the other side, AND you are very welcome. I was stunned when she told me. Over a decade ago. Still shocking.
The fact she was blacklisted for punishment for her integrity is scary...
