just discovered this album "Weather". OMG. This is my favorite track, and the one following it is killer too, "Don't Mistake My Kindness for Weakness". Yeah! truth in music; she's the real thing. Madonna knew it, jazz dudes know it, and you will know it too if you expand your musical horizon enough to place her in it! She is HOT. Still hot, hasn't lost any of her flavah over time. stay with us baby! keep expressin your passion

Same here. I bought the whole album off the strength of this performance and because I'm a long time fan of Meshell, but I wasn't crazy about the album. But this performance here is amazing.

Me'shell was great Friday night in Chicago with Christian McBride doing the Charles Mingus Tribute show "Beneath the Underdog." Watching her on stage with the Chicago Jazz Ensemble was incredible. Loads of talent on that stage. Oh yeah, Me'shell was also very sweet to me and others after the show :)

I hear: Talking Heads, U@ (Sunday Bloody Sunday), and even some Paul Simon. I hope she lives for many years to come, because I have enjoyed every 'point' in her career.

So good! I think I have a bootleg of this show on Minidisc from the 90's, lol. This band is amazing, and are Screaming Headless Torsos with a few members switched out.
