I saw him once about 7 or 8 years ago and going to see him this coming Wednesday in New Jersey. Such a great talent. He's been my inspiration to write my own lyrics and music.
Still One of my favourite songs absolutely brilliant i heard this song on Grange hill UK prom night love the end of the song nice touch 👍 cheers Stephen,✌️
This is what true song writers and performers are all about, none with this capability these days, they feel they have , they can dream on, masterclass is our Colin, 🏴🏴🇮🇪🇮🇪👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I remember one day our roadside manhole was under repair. The publics work department put a signboard 'Men At Work' I was like, they are here! Well those people came to repair. And I reposed with my cassette at full bloom. Who can it be now.
God I love him Makes me cry sometimes thinking back to seeing him live. He is funny, vulnerable, human and very talented. His music can be haunting but very emotional. I hope I get to see him again live
Late at night, decades ago, I saw a band on MTV covering Overkill. About half way through, who shows up? None other than Colin Hay. My mind was blown then. To hear him still hit all those notes now, is simply amazing. Bravo!
Tale a long look for anyone fortunate enough to land on this page. He is the last of a dying breed: the Troubadour.
He's a songwriter
Thank you very much for your compliment!
who can miss that unique voice

I had no idea how hilarious Colin Hay is. This is magical. He's more entertaining than any late night American talk show host.
I 100% agree!!!
You should watch the live performance in Berkley for HBO around 83-84.
He is such a Talented Musician, Love him with Men At Work and he's even better now, such inspiring lyrics in his songs, Love Um....
He has the audience in the palm of his hand. Thanks for capturing this!

Colin Hayes musicianship is so under rated. Such a cool dude.

What a great moment in time to have, cherish it!
The song is the dessert. The ramble is the main meal.
That is a fantastic analogy!!
Grew up with his music and never knew he was a real troubadour!
Ditto!!
Saw them live at Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Worth. What a great venue, great band great time.
Unreal voice!
I agree!
Just found him doing solo stuff. Absolutely brilliant and if he ever tours the UK, I'd love to get a ticket.

You have an eclectic taste remanisant of BBC radio 2 untill about 10 year's ago when artomated systems took over.
Love this version, the tone of this version I feel matches the lyrics much better than the original.
Helps his voice is still incredible even today.
I agree and am glad you liked it!

I love that you caught that reference! 😄

Looks like an awesome show! Do you know if he talked to the audience after the show?
Not that I am aware of, but I can't say with any certainty.
Beautiful
It was a wonderful and relaxing evening for sure.
Natural is way better..
I couldn't agree more!
I like the Men at Work versions a lot better
Careful what you say about the English Colin , there’s laws against hate speech in Scotland now 😃
