- In March we threw the debut JammJam in Paris, in partnership with our friends at Bang & Olufsen. It was an epic musical experience featuring a collaboration by 4 incredible musicians: MonoNeon, Larnell Lewis, Isaiah Sharkey, and Ibrahim Maalouf.

WOW!!!!! I love how MonoNeon gave everyone in the band in this track a spot to shine. The drummer, guitarist, and pianist were all on POINT! That was ridiculOsO! I also love Hot Cheetos. This hit home for me on every level. This was sick!

That drummer... good lord, that man has chops.
Mono has some unreal long fingers. Damn. He can physically play stuff others only dream about. Larnell is other-worldly as well. Criminal, felonious funk. What I, as an old guy, refer to generically as swing or groove.
Brilliant stuff. Mono's groove is insane, Isaiah's amazing, and Larnell's driving the bus.

Aside from this being insanely fantastic and cool beyond words, aside from that, doing the gig “in the round” as theater people would say,is so wonderful and fresh. All the players can just be with each other and let the audience see how they really work together and communicate. So much the way it ought to be all the time.
That’s a band, when they have time to jell (jello) together,, and that takes time and patience , and good arrangements!!
I feel like they should turn this into a regular band. I know Isaiah can also sing well. I saw him live with Robert Glasper a few months ago.

1:34 that cymbal choke into splashing it the next beat is just so tasty. Larnell Lewis will forever be one of my favorite drummers
also love the cuts of the video in this. During the intro you'll notice that when the phrase is repeating you'll see Mono shaking his head telling the rest to keep the groove going. The video cuts show this each time he does it too! glad we got an extra long intro too cuz they just go wider and wider on it until he starts that verse
