"Then we are decided" gibt es in der ursprünglichen fassung nicht ("original recording" - auch nicht ganz korrekt: siehe die textlich deutlich "härtere" urversion von "too much heaven on their minds"). in der verfilmung diente "Then we are decided" wohl auch dazu, auf die klassische spielfilmlänge zu kommen. tatsächlich kann man heute noch beim kauf der lizenz für eine aufführung wählen, ob es bestandteil sein soll oder nicht.

Jesus Christ Superstar has been translated into many different languages. A few notable ones, that also have audio recordings are: English (obviously), Welsh, Spanish, Mexican, Portugese, Italian, Greek, French, German, Dutch, Danish, Swedish, Icelandic, Hungarian, Czech, Russian, Korean and Japanese.

First to comment, I guess... I read a lot of JCS Zone. I read this version doesn't have the best translation, and I really do wish I knew german so I could laugh at their adaptation blunders. If someone has any knowledge in german here and can identify some of the lyrics, I would really like to know an example of "not very good" translation/adaptation choices made during the production of this version. I really enjoy it whenever I see a FULL JCS version made, though.
Oh, I could tell you A LOT about the German translation, since I've been playing an apostle in several productions of JCS in Germany. My (negative) favorite line is: "Juden-King, Christus und so" aka "Jesus Christ, King of the Jews", which translates to "Jew-King, Christ and stuff" 😂 It's kind of on point, but sounds so vulgar.
the german translation is, unfortunately, a mixture of "ultra-modern / hippie" slang and "very old" german style. however, it is licensed, and must not be altered on professional performances
pilate has the same voice as the actor who's in the movie
Also known as "the original Pilate from JCS". And, in my opinion, the best one.

For those trying to translate German into English,it isn’t translatable in the same way , as some words in English are reversed in the German language or are not able to be translated at all.
The time cutting between 'I don't know how to love him' and 'damned for all time' is also wrong.

The album has never been released on CD unfortunately. You can still find vinyl copies on Discogs but most of them are quite expensive.

There are many mistakes in the time line of the chapters. Frist, the song 'King Heroes song' is missing. Second, the cutting time between 'trail before Pilate' and 'Superstar' is wrong.
Interesting version, without the guitar riffs it doesn't sound like a "rock opera" (but for instance there is a nice sax solo on Damned For All Time) and it is somewhat rashly and hastily played and sung. I guess it is difficult to manage an appropiate translation. Let´s take the words of Institution: "Take this, all of you, and eat of it: this is my body, which will be given up for you -Take this, all of you, and drink from it: this is the cup of my blood." (according to the Catholic Church) - - - " For all you care this wine could be my blood - For all you care this bread could be my body" (original lyrics of The Last Supper, already a little different) - - - "Euch stört es nicht und wär`der Wein mein Blut - Euch stört es nicht, und wenn dies Brot mein Leib wär'" (German Adaption - sounds strange).
You can’t translate the German language into English that way, it sounds a bit in reverse.
