    When I pond fish, it always seems like I can get a bass strike when I cast near ducks or geese. It seems the bass follow them while the birds are disturbing the lake bottom. That pollen creates shade and good bites.

    You can get spinner forms that have a swivel built in. That would be perfect for that little plopper! How did you make it again?

    • @rawrfishing
      @rawrfishing  7 месяцев назад +1

      you can try it! I believe you have found the short video of me doing it! I don't have a full video i don't believe because this old trick just is not worth the line twist. i even tried making few variations like double swivel, extended rear with treble hook and a willow blade (VMC Treble hook with a blade). it was fun for a bit, but i threw away too much line.

    Cheap whopper plopper from walmart landed my PB at my local pond it was the yellowish one. Anyone looking to avoid line twist can work a swivel into the mix, not ideal but works if a favorite bait is not line friendly.

      Cheap whopper plopper as in an official one from R2S? Because those are not usually cheap! Lol. But nice man. Congrats on the PB! Yeah the lighter they are, they seem to twist when reeled in too fast. I even tried double swivels 😂

      hehe that's a great question. But this was a little fun gem that was made BEFORE they dropped the size 60. Since then, no one really cared to solve this old thing.
      I might be able to create an idea.. but it may end up not floating. so it would be a straight retrieve type lure only. It will require some more wire bending. will kinda look like a buzz bait.. perhaps we can make a buzzbait :)
