That lake is the best. I might have to do some maintenance soon by culling some crappies and other species. Throw it down the dam so bass can get a bit bigger 😂

I went on the kayak with no UL nor L bfs setup last Sunday.. Boy it was tough. But I whipped this one out and it did some good work. I will portray later this month. But this is a good bait all year long. Finesse but not micro finesse

Oh I said I will make one annually going forward. So this end of the year or early next year when the season ends. Could be sooner if I can find a good deal on camera and lighting gears. Kiddo knocked over my ring light and game over. Won't turn on anymore 😂
Do you have any plans and reviewing the KastKing Valiant II BFS reel? I just received mine from Aliexpress today and so far I like what I am seeing, mine does not have the side-to-side spool play I saw mentioned by a poster, The reel takes the same bearings as the Kestrel Elite. Spool weight WITH the bearing is an impressive 5.49 grams
I will definitely do an unboxing and first impression fishing. If it goes well.. I may use it more. And if it's super good... I may end up with a review. I still intend to do a review of the Kestrel. Still going through some test and fishing... But I got lots to say about that one 😂
It's the best! Chatterbaits, spinners and etc.. Those are when they wanna smash stuff. But when u go plain... It's a finesse way that just flay out slays!
Indeed it is. I don't plan on throwing any thing on an UL rod with this. Perhaps L. But it will be mainly for ML rods. I have tried 3 grams tho. Not bad.
@@rawrfishing wow.. so its borderline BFS already.. I thought it can't do less than 5g. because of the spool weight.. its still 173usd right now so its a steal..
it's a versatile bfs reel that can do some BFS as well as bleeded past Power BFS. Can't always go UL :P. I have stated that this year forward, I will be spending more time outside of the UL BFS Niche and go into the L and ML side. So any BFS reels or Versatile BFS reels that will allow that will be game :)
@@rawrfishing that is also my style of fishing 2.5g lure upto light.. i'm still finding some spots here in central CA since we moved last year never found some decent spots away from piers.

Since most of the weeds are gone. Fishing BFS has saved me from getting skunked.

I've caught more fish on a plain jig with a smaller size paddle tail this year than anything else ive tried
