But skoda is much cheaper in maintenance cost. It needs only 1/3 of bmw's service cost.And it have 9 airbags, three airbags more than bmw 330i

If I have to buy Skoda logo, completely imported Rs for 45 lakhs, I would anytime would go for 50 lakhs new BMW 330i MSport. BMW logo 265 Hp and 400 Nm torque and BMW logo. Also that BMW is made in India hence components cost and services would be cheaper. Better resale value. Skoda has a resale value of 20% after five years,. Honda has 35% and BMW definitely more.

One guy from my place had this beast in steel gray and it was soooo amazing. How beautyit was. But he sold it. For him it was like a toy which he may bought it just by seeing inside showroom, coz he owns Merc s class, Porsche gt and Nissan gtr.

Are remapped car reliable as out of factories one also it might void warranty of rs 33 lakh rs car (ex showroom)

As an owner of a 10month old Octavia 1.8 L&K, I debated waiting for the VRS since I envied the old RS that came out couple years ago. But when I saw the price bracket they were going to put the car in, I bailed and made my purchase. The VRS is a great car, an amazing experience but it missed the sweet spot on price IMO. But with 200 units sold out what do I know. Great review, very detailed. Just tune out the background music maybe.

@@Petrobug Nah man. I am happy with my purchase. The 1.8 petrol is plenty fast when I want it to be. And in Mumbai the VRS may have been an overkill, all that speed and power with no where to unleash it.

It had been more fun if it was rear wheel drive like the BMW 330i and the jaguar xe given such high price.
It is a cbu import that's why such high price, if it is brought as ckd then it will around 30 lakhs on road

Skoda is heavily overpriced, it should not have gone more than 30. After 30 people will try to reach BMW X1 though a different car but because of brandpull and self satisfying.

I'd just get the base rapid TSI and get a safe remap to 135 and 200 nm torque. Add an exhaust later down the road and pump out 5-10(?)more hp lol. Maybe just a decat

Anikesh, thank you. We thought the interiors were similar to the RS and people were familiar with that. Fuel efficiency is something we couldn't test because we had limited time with it
Best car to buy after an year or two second hand, No one in the right mind will spend such money on skoda octavia even if it comes with jet engine......

One humble suggesstion, music was a bit monotonous troughout the video, I'd love it a bit more if you could for one scene just drop the music and give us pure sound of the car. Why would anyone spend so much and get a FWD Skoda when they can get a RWD BMW which has better status image, faster and more fun to drive? I don’t see the point of this this car at this price range. You can even get an Audi A3 and remap it.
Umm....theres really no point comparing Skoda to BMW in this case....Skoda rs is still just a sporty sedan and BMW are road legal race cars really....You are going to take Skoda for cheaper maintenance and better fuel economy...comfy ride,FWD....Great all rounder....BMW-more luxury and power,maintenance is very expensive,comfortable to drive,still nice amount of space....about status image;to be honest(sadly,because its a very good car)most BMW drivers are guys who bought them on budget,leasing or credit and just wanna flex around
In this price point of 50 lakhs how is it any better than BMW 330i msport
I did have a doubt over it's ground clearance given that the suspension was unchanged from Euro spec but from the side by side images it looks like the 18" wheels have given some crucial extra centimetres of clearance to the RS 245 which makes it so much more practical. That aside you are paying extra for the 7spd gearbox and the extra 15 bhp. But it's a performance car and I guess that it's entitled too.
The blue car has lowered suspension. Don't use it for reference

The only drawback is that they didn't even bother to offer a manual transmission and the irony is skoda wanted it to be an "Enthusiasts Delight"
It is Enthusiasts delight even without manual, because of massive bhp of 245, 0 to 100 it achives in 6.6 sec, what else you need ?
@@muraleedharabhat8016 The way a manual transmission lets you engage with your car cannot be felt with the paddle shifters also. What else do I need?? A manual bruh!
Also there is always gonna be someone faster than you on the road. Power is not something which I am concerned with that much. Hope you get my points...

I understand your ( manual ) feeling but I suggest you to take a test drive of Skoda Octavia ( as Vrs will not be available ) DSG gear box is so smooth, instant power as you press, absolutely no lag (even I was under same impression like you before as this is my 11 year of manual driving ) don't compare with any other automatic cars with AMT, AT or CVT transmission, just drive a DSG transmission and let me know
@@muraleedharabhat8016 I have a skoda rs245. I understand what you are trying to say cause yes it's transmission is quick. However, you still are not getting what I want to say. I could get a Porsche or bmw, maybe a Mercedes which will be better than the rs245.
The point is I do not care about the quickness....I just want to shift gears cause it feels like engaging and not electronic.
In india no high end car brand offers a stick shift which is the problem!!. In thr US mustang,Porsche and bmw still comes with a manual option.

Oh it's nice to know that you have one of the best car presently available in India, I got your point, in manual you are more connected with the machine, that's not the case of automatic transmission but over the period the number of people who love manual transmission is reducing, that to incase of Vrs,they have just released very limited numbers of cars to India, so they can't take the risk

Already people are holding us responsible for several cancellations. Not VFM, but it is a good FWD platform, one of the best out there. We will be making a detailed video on that soon.
Cancel it and buy 330i. Nothing beats BMW in self driving.
