+William Aleman If you don't want to do much work to get a pretty decently performing nerf "sniper", get the tristrike. If you don't mind doing some work to get a great nerf gun that still holds up to current nerf standards, then get the longshot.

I used to own one of these along with a load of other nerf guns when I was a kid. This is probably the one I had the most fun with. Because it's a sniper rifle and that's cool as hell.

Reivax654 well for me scopes are just tactical for me... I’ll put a scope on anything, but I won’t use it. I just use them for tactics. So do others. So that wouldn’t be a good stereotype.

So, there is some weird mechanical difference between the 'new' Elite Longshot, and the Zombie Strike version? IE, its ability to use elite carts without jamming like crazy?
I have a model one longshot (blue) and it never had an issue with elite darts

I have the n strike version of this so it’s is all n strike while elite has different appearance
Mod the frint gun, cut off the barrel extension so it still connects to a blaster but doesn't cause drag then attach it to a modulus with the modulus blaster stock attachment. Now you have two last resort guns.

If you put the long shot front gun and the 'strike and defend' kit stock onto a blaster, you can have 2 backup shots!

Love the Long Shot! One of my friends used to have the Original Yellow one, then I think he got the other version and we'd always play with em and pretend to be tactical and stuff lol. Want this one again really.

I have the long-shot and I had Some jams on it. So i had to "mod" them. I just surounded bullets By tape. Easy fix.

So, I have an OLD longshot, and by old I mean the old yellow variant. It felt so akward, and jammed so much, most of the darts got crushed in the access door. Those were my first impressions of nerf blasters.

I got one that looked almost identical to that when I was like 7-10, the orange was yellow on mine, the front gun would barely fire it any distance

(yes i know this is an old video) modulus tristrike is better. better attachments, doesnt make you waist your money because of the stupid extra front gun that has a shit range, more compact, good for special ops (in this case, a player who can take out a shield, (rockets) depleat the lives of an important enemy quickly (mega darts) and of course get out some good dart shots/rapid fires. (darts)) and, with the modding guide, its distance can increase to well over 100 feet, which i think, once accustrike darts start coming out, (yes coop, i AM going to say it) can make the tristrike an actual sniper rifle.

I tried modding my old longshot and it broke (dart tooth) any tips for the zombie version?
Stats:
Core blaster: Sniper rifle
Front gun: Jolt. (barrel attachment edition)
The front gun is practically useless with integrations and another blaster but fits on any tac rail your kinda better off getting the zombiestrike version.
Granted no bipod but you get the scope and a 12 dart mag.
You could split a pair of binoculars and take one with the zoom adjustment and then get a nerf recon scope, take off the scope stuff, hot glue the binoculars, and boom you have a zoom sniper scope

Or you can, you know, buy a $20 - $30 scope on eBay.

My friend had a blue old longshot, so I have always wanted one. So many tactics!
The front gun isn't as bad as everyone says, it's good for backup blaster that's used when you need to reload.

Hey Coop, check to see if the gun still has the year in which it was made, if it's still an old Longshot with a new paint job then it won't say 2015. Like the Nerf Elite XD Retaliator still says it was made in 2011, which is when the Retaliator originally came out
Hasbro should make a Modulus Longshot Mark II with side rails, and extra rail up top, a bottom rail with a detachable bipod, updated internals and a front gun with firetrike internals and tac rails.
I would definitely buy THAT.
It took me hours to put the front gun handle onto the front gun years ago and my longshot jammed so bad I had to open it and now I know how a longshot work

What you need: 3 scopes, modulus, strike and defend kit, front blaster
1. Attach front blaster as the extension
2. attach your blaster stock
3. Add the 3 scopes
or tri fire. because tri strike is out

Nerf remade the Longshot in the ICON series and they cut more corners than a making a circle smaller
This gun is a beast with the Retaliatory barrel attachment and Accustrike darts.

Actually Coop, a tactical reload is slow and meticulous to make sure the magazine isn’t dropped...

The reason people (including me) are calling it elite for is because it uses elite darts and has the uniform elite paint job.
