Thank you for your comment and concern. Nearly all fish and shellfish contain traces of mercury (quicksilver) and, generally speaking, the larger the fish the higher the level will be. Swordfish is a large fish of course but, eaten in moderation (once a week is fine), it has many health benefits as it's a rich source of Vitamin D and selenium. As for parasites, like any fish, swordfish should always be cleaned thoroughly in preparation. Cooking kills all parasites...so stay away from sushi or ceviche if you have concerns.
