      Doing better these days! Just last night i had a kind of rough night with my young kids and had a lot of tension and pain in my right jaw and face, which in the past would become a migraine. I almost took some medicine. Instead, I went to my room and talked myself down (out loud) and felt some feelings and the tension and pain diminished and eventually went away completely and I was able to sleep through the night and wake up with no pain. That feels pretty miraculous!

    I needed to hear this. At the shore and deja vu because I had experienced foot pain last year. Actually had a good run and it felt heavenly. This morning little twinges in my foot and the fear came rushing back...old tapes started playing.." you did too much. You ran then walked the boardwalk"...trying to let this go...i know there's nothing there. I actually gave in last year and went to the orthopedic. Jeez!

      Just the fact your pain subsided is PROOF your nerves are perfectly fine. Your brain creates the pain. Your brain can turn it off. I would also gently suggest you stop speaking of your nerve pain as crippling. That just perpetuates the fear.

    How do we separate the symptoms from the potentially underlying cause? If ignore the symptoms, could I be ignoring something potentially serious? How do we square symptoms from the underlying potentially very serious cause?

      Was just thinking 🤔 I had a few emdr sessions 3 years ago and I had to leave a week in between because the therapist warned me for worsening of symptoms, exhaustion etc.. and she was right.. I felt mentally relieved but was physically drained.. maybe this is what’s happening to you too now. If that’s it, don’t worry, it will pass as soon as your brain recalibrates.. hope this helps!🙏☘️💕

      @@Inge508ave had four sessions of preparation ie giving me tools to get in a calm safe place in my head, therapist was ill for three weeks so it felt like I'd opened up and then I was left. Actual EMDR to start today, said he'll use a smaller trauma to begin with and go from there. I have 8 session left. I did think if there was a co.relation, too coincidental. Will try stick with it. Good to see you home safe & looking so fresh despite the long flight. Another very reassuring video. Still doing my best every day to respond calmly to "symptoms" & just carry on with my day. Morning "anxiety" sensations & thoughts that ping off from this are the thing I have to remind myself are just chemicals produced from the brain & to recognise this as best I can. Your daily videos keep me feeling supported. Something I am always eternally grateful for. Good luck with the laundry & group calls. Dan, this helped me a lot. About a month after recovering from other chronic multiple symptoms (through a TMS approach), I suddenly developed a severely stuffy nose which turned chronic (ongoing for 9+ weeks now). I've gone down the medical route for an explanation and can't find what's causing the nasal swelling. In the back of my mind I've kept wondering if this is TMS. This has given me confidence to try the TMS approach towards them and see if that makes any difference. At the very least, it can help me minimize the suffering. Thank you.

    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  9 месяцев назад

      Most symptoms can become persistent or chronic with fear and attention. Thus some ongoing symptoms can be eliminated with this approach. Main point is that concussions heal. How severe and how long ago was your concussion?

      I bumped my head on driver side window in a car accident when pulling out of my neighborhood in October of 2020. I did bump my head, but I don't think I hit it hard enough to cause symptoms to last this long. I've had 2 MRIs and an MRA, all came back normal. The closest to an answer I've received is that I have post concussive syndrome of central origin. What are your thoughts?@@PainFreeYou
