It’s true that watching your daily videos can get you there…I have made great progress doing so over the last 13 months. That said, I joined the group about 6 weeks ago because I just wanted to see if I was “missing anything” because I had not yet “crossed the finish line.” I am finding that hearing this process through others (in the full spectrum of the PDP recovery journey along with Dan’s live feedback) has helped me better understand that I am definitely on track and will at some point have full recalibration of a brain that has been fearful and producing significant symptoms for over 6+ years…it all works and it does work well hand in hand even for just a short time to show your brain it’s safe and in a “normal” progression to recovery. Thank you, Dan, for offering multiple, but consistent, paths to travel on this PDP recovery journey 🌸

There is a healthy rule with diet.
Eat 80 percent healthy and you may sin 20 percent..
I realized that my life was also 80/ 20..
80 percent care for others and less than 20 percent selfcare..
It’s high time to reverse those numbers.
80 percent me and 20 percent the others!
That’s the version of myself I want to become..
And in those 80 percent me-time doing what I really love doing.. not because I think people would want me to do so..
    Just my idea on it!
Have a restful joyful you- time weekend Dan and everyone ❤

@@josiejo117s I am in the process of doing EMDR. NHS 12 sessions. Am on no.5. first 3 were assessment and giving me tools to get to safe place if it became overwhelming. Primarily for an assault (PTSD)a year ago and health anxiety stemming from oxygen tent (now claustrophobic)age 5, my sister(age6) was in one too , but she died. Therapist said we'd get to the big ones a bit further in but my brain had other idea. Amazing how the brain responded to the watching someone's hand movements. I was back there(assault) but gradually I felt like I was far away from it until I could recall it all but no great fear. Lots of tears. Last session somehow put me back in that tent, the tears I was struggling to breathe( I had pneumonia)maybe panic attack but same result I came away from the trauma(in my head) like the memory had been refiled. It's not for everyone, the assessment sessions are very important. I'm not one for digging up the past but am aware that subsequent issues with hospital phobias and medical procedures stem from my childhood. Am on a high straight afterwards but following two days am exhausted. Do your research before you sign up. I was lucky to get on the NHS UK but waited 10months. I was willing to go private to try this.
When therapist said you've spent your life from young childhood protecting others ( parent, siblings etc) you must be exhausted, it hit hard. Have tried hypnotherapy with a well known therapist but it was over the phone and didn't really help tbh. But that's me.
Am using Dan's videos, the Dare response, which is basically the same thing alongside the EMDR. It is really a simple concept to rid ourselves or give us our lives back but we have to be firm in our belief.
Dan if you want me to remove above let me know. It went on a bit sorry

In theory this is great but ultimately you have to plan your future, and if you plan like you're healthy you could get very screwed. For example; you refuse to believe the thought you're a sick person so decide to pursue your dreams of living in Hawaii with your sister. You get job prospects, you get an apartment rented, and then you're too sick to even get to the airport but you still have to pay for the apartment. Or, you think I'm going get Phd in neuroscience so I can begin to understand the mind and body but then you have to drop out in order to work full time to get insurance then you're left with an immense amount of debt. I mean I get the whole whole mindset thing but this the you have to have some alignment with reality. FYI I did eventually learn how to make this work but this question remains.

Dear Dan..i am getting outside even though i feel so weird when i am, for instance walking my dog. I feel delay all the time, in my head...i dont want to fear it...but it feels so scary when walking....i go and keep going, but i dont really succeed in feeling safe while i do it. Doubts get to me, like, will my brain be able to work normal again...if i experience this as i do now...i dont know how to feel safe with it...but than maybe it will never get better😢

Telling yourself it will never get better guarantees your brain will stay in high alert. I would recommend you change that story to, I'm feeling more and more safe every day and things will go back to balance. I am already well. Create safety. Not despair. ruclips.net/video/Ez9Ez49M8Ig/видео.html

@@PainFreeYou Thank you Dan i will watch this...so...you really think this all can really change with the change of thinking? And acting that you are safe?
I will try to change this thinking for sure...
And what about flight sensations...i keep going and going but the flight really comes and goes...now...i try to not DO or fight them and accept as they are there...but feel a bit exhausted bu knowing that they are there so much as long as i deal with these other symptoms of delay and unbalance...😅🥰

@@ariannesmakman5639 I know this sounds challenging, but fueling the fear is not the way forward. Safety is. Think, act, behave and KNOW you are safe. The body will return to balance. Challenging? Absolutely. But recovery from fear is the main goal. ruclips.net/video/VSmTe8zPXh0/видео.html

Hi Dan, is there a danger that if you smile to yourself whilst in pain your body may think you are happy being in pain and associate the pain with happiness?
